I am new owner of a Lennar home, but I'm having a hard time enjoying it. Besides (1) issues during the build, (2) a large (and still-growing) list of poor craftsmanship/building issues throughout the house, and (3) horrific customer service and responsiveness, Lennar made two particularly egregious mistakes while rushing to sell me a house by the end of their fiscal year. 1. Lennar sold me a house in the winter without heat on the top floor (bedrooms). The home inspection noticed that the heat pump wasn't operating, but Lennar failed to address the issue and sold the house anyways. 2. It ...

Wouldn’t Buy Again

We moved in 7 months ago and have had workers here over 10 times. Rude office staff, subfloor issues, flooring issues, broken dryer, issue with kitchen sink, broken raucouses, broken doorbell, hole in floor, broken tread on staircase, etc. Had we known Lennar had poor craftsmanship, we would never have purchased this home. Do not recommend this builder.

The just used the bare minimum of materials and some low grade. The house has started to settle, from the painting to cocking especially on the staircase sides, most off it is already peeling off/cracking and it looks awful on the eye. Am speechless appliances are not working properly, from the Frigidaire refrigerator/kitchen upgraded package as marketed which you are being charged a good lump sum for more problems. In a few words it is a big mess for the price tag.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend a Lennar build to anyone. If, however, you choose to go with a new build, please lower your expectations. The workmanship throughout the home looks incredibly rushed. The paint job is poorly done, some of the kitchen cabinets are not level, rubber seams on doors damaged, framing on outside window facade falling down, wood chipped throughout the home, floor trimming around baseboards not flush, paint/spackle on carpet, lighting not flush with the ceiling, etc. It's incredibly disappointing to see your investment look so poorly thrown together. Our brand new home, built in 2025, was built without internet connectivity. Today, nearly two months following our closing, we still have a fiber cable running through our driveway in order to have internet/cable services. Lennar hasn’t lent even a single phone call in helping us get it resolved. Additionally, every time we use the oven we blow a breaker. We’ve put in warranty requests and for 3+ weeks we’ve been waiting for somebody to contact us to address the issue. Crickets….

Lots of issues after we moved in. Missing products, broken items. Caused us money and no one would come to fix them. We were able to reach our service rep and submit service requests. Yet no one would actually come and fix the issue. It has been two months since we moved in. Nothing got fixed yet. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone.

The process of buying a house in itself is scary. So you think that buying a newly built home would be better. Wrong. Lennar used the cheapest materials, multiple issues ready. And later we get blamed for the issues so they dont have to fix it. If i could go back I would’ve approached this whole situation very differently, been more assertive with Lennar, and not have accepted things to be “fixed after move in”. What a disappointment. The sales team and the builder were amazing. I have had very terrible experience with customer service. My doorbell stopped working and it took 2 months before I could get it fixed. I have outstanding repair work, and I have had 2 no call no shows and last time a Manager actually stopped by and promised things will be resolved quickly. I have not heard anything. Part of my door was broken before moving in. It is still broken and no one has come to fix it. Overall, the customer service team are unreliable and don't particularly care about the customer. Quality is lacking from product to people at Lennar. They rush you to sign documents without explaining what you are getting that differs from the model. The sales people are rude and will tell you whatever they need to in order to get you in the house. This company and its people have no integrity.

The home consultant used predatory methods to rush me into making a decision to sign a purchase agreement. He was also unprofessional with his communication and didn’t upload the information into my portal that I needed for this to be a smooth process after settlement. The construction manager has not been knowledgeable on various processes that he should have a firm grasp on. A lot of things in the home were covered up and not done properly. I am still awaiting for certain things to be fixed and should not have to wait for the one year housing settling process because it has nothing to do with the house settling process.

I will never recommend to anyone to buy a Lennar home. The quality of the materials (drywall especially) is pathetic. The workmanship is below average. The trustworthiness is a zero (it wasn't an option). After purchasing the home, all Lennar has done is lie to us. Responsive to issues . . . got to be kidding me. Lennar doesn't respond to issues. Lennar is worthless.

Mistakes all over in what you asked for. . Looks nice until you uncover all the rushed poor workmanship all over the house.. Getting a response to issues is a nightmare with numerous requests needed, supervisors that do not respond, workmen that do not show up, and then you find what is "not covered" you were not told about. Poor experience. Electricity bills have been swapped with the other neighbors have created crises paying $600 electricity bills Walls have been paded with color to hide these are broken Many other issues like the sink was scratched, floors are scratched etc

Lack of communication, lennar mortgage will not lock rates in advance, prior to closing service is bad enough imagine once you closed, they don’t care, i put 3 tickets for same work and it’s still not done. This is my first home and i must say i am disappointed in the quality of the craftsmanship. I've been in constant contact with Lennar customer service to attempt to set up repair services to fix multiple issues within my new home. Before closing i had to have the roof redone because it was not done correctly the first time. Over all i am not impressed with the quality of the work.

We bought a brand new house from Lennar. This is a great little house. Perfect for our lifestyle. We opted to purchase the washer and dryer with the house. Washer works fine. Dryer came missing a filter, filter frame, and a humidity sensor. If you use the dryer without a filter frame and filter, your clothes get sucked into and behind the drum. Lennar will not fix or replace the dryer. They say, it’s LG’s responsibility. We have lived here without a working dryer for almost 2 months. Lennar will not communicate or support the homeowner.
