Lennar - They wil lie, lie, lie.
- Johnathan B.

They wil lie, lie, lie. Tried to overcharge me after signing purchase agreement. Made our bathroom wrong and flat out refused to fix it. The workmanship is very sloppy. Scores of paint drips, uneven cabinets, uneven fixtures, chips and scrapes, capet staples, countless crooked screws. Never fixed a stain in pantry ceiling, 10 days after closing water was dripping through, bad pipe ceiling had to be cut open. Was given garage code by title company, doesnt work. Have yet to put in tile in the bathroom that was agreed before closing. Vitural closing was a breeze, recommened it.

Lennar - Home was dirty on move-in day - countertops, flooring and carpets.

Home was dirty on move-in day - countertops, flooring and carpets. No hot water for a week. Sliding glass door wouldn't stay locked. Garage floor had globs of mudding all over. No one to go over all the tech installed. Now there's mice. Called exterminator. Lennar customer care doesn't want to take any responsibility.
Lennar responded:
Hi, thank you for your review. We want to apologize for the poor state in which you found your new home. If you have any items that still need attention, please send us a message at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com and we will follow-up with the team. - Lennar Customer Care

Nobody during our buying experience really knew what was going on and usually ignored our questions.

It’s obvious that the sales teams don’t care about you as a person. It appears the sale is their main goal. We heard phrases when asking questions about the home that didn’t seem right “oh I thought you wanted to buy a home. We have many people interested.” Or “yes I’ll take care of that” after the 3rd email and still needing to send more emails and a phone call just to find out how you’re getting your move in key. The construction manager was Lennar’s savings grace. He was a pleasure to work with.
Lennar responded:
Hi Mark, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are extremely sorry about the frustrations caused by the communication issues you experienced with your new home. If there is ever anything we can do to assist you in the future please do not hesitate to contact us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com. - Lennar Customer Care

I purchased a quick move in ready home. What seemed fantastic has turned into an adventure in placing 2 warranties, multiple maintenance requests and a general dismissal of my concerns. I am told at almost every call made that the water leaking in multiple areas, standing water in my windowsills, frost on windows so bad that it looks like a freezer that needs to be defrosted, frost/ice on the floor in front of a door with a significant draft felt are "normal" given that warranties are being completed and work being done, the concerns are NOT normal. There are other issues as well and the ...

Throughout the home buying process we were sent many documents and forms with errors then pressured to sign them even after we asked for them to be corrected. Details like the home address and payment amount were not correct, as well as other important details that make a big difference when buying a home. Trevin seemed to be the source of many of these major errors and even after speaking to him on the phone they failed to be fixed. We constantly felt like we were being mislead by representatives from Lennar with many different parties saying very different things, often times contradictory. ...

Lennar interior and exterior quality is very bad. I can say million issues in every place. 1. Our bathroom water leaked in just 3 weeks and Lennar have to break the walls to fix. 2. Our microwave trips every time and no solution for that. 3. Paint is falling apart inside the house 4. It’s funny when you see the flower plants Lennar gave in the landscaping. 5. Not worth for the money we spent.

I’ve always heard Lenar doesn’t have the best workmanship and I can see that for myself. I’ve complained from the realtor to the builder to the person that did the phone call check about our patio large step entrance. Hoping some easy fix in the future would prevent falls and injuries. I was told they would send someone out but no one came.

Individuals would approve, then reject, then approve and ultimately wouldn't approve us non-contingent. I believe they dangled the $15k incentive to use Lennar mortgage to bait us in, then didn't approve us. A 3rd party mortgage company approved us and they have to play by the same rules as Lennar. Lennar has a problem that in my opinion is fraudulent.

Despite assurances that the home is waterproofed, the recent rainfall has resulted in substantial pooling of water around the foundation and subsequent flooding of our basement. This has caused damage to the interior, including the carpet and other finishes. The sump pump was operational; however, the volume of water penetrating the foundation itself suggests potential defects in either the foundation’s waterproofing or the structural integrity of the building.

Terrible craftsmanship. You can see the mud on the sheet rocks through the paint because it is so thin and they only put one coat on. The wall when light hits it from an angle shows a large repair mound and tape line from Floor to ceiling. There’s holes in the subfloor on the second level under the carpet. There’s piles of something under the linoleum in the Laundry room. Apparently none of the floors are prepped before you just throw carpet or vinyl over it to cover up everything. Shingles have blown off the roof, garage was only taped and never finished with mud, in the tape job is ...

If you close in spring done expect your yard to be graded, your sprinklers to go in, or to see your sod anytime soon. I was PROMISED I was first on the list when that came. That was in April. It’s 90 degrees in June and I continue to look at a mound of dirt, weed bushes up to my chest, and ricks where my grass should be. It’s a joke. Don’t give them a dollar if you ever want service from Lennar. I avoided writing this review, but they kept asking for one. So, here we are.

During our closing day we walked in on painters touching up spots. The new home experience was completely taken away from us and nothing was done to make it more memorable. Most recently, as we started planing our basement work to finish our basement we realized that the water heater was placed just in a random spot that takes away square footage from the future bedroom. The reps told me because the house came with an unfinished basement the water heater can get placed wherever . It would be nice to have the water heater moved or be compensated for losing square footage.

It’s just been more than a month and we have raised 10+ service request already. We entered into our new home and hot water won’t work. Pipe leaked in basement. Cabinet door came off. Switch won’t work. AC stopped working and they said they need 3 weeks to fix it and punished me to suffer in high temperatures inside the home. Would never recommend lennar to anyone.

My wife and I decided to buy a Lennar home. We decided to wait 3 months for the house to be completed. During this process we were told that everything on the inside of the house would be completed by closing. When we had our celebration day, it was far from a celebration. There were many items on the inside of the house that were not completed as promised. There seem to be very poor communication between that sales rep and construction rep. Our construction rep did not even know the proper closing date. We have now lived in our house for about 50 days and still can not get answers on when ...
