Customer service bad after closing

Very reliable and nice people.

We recently purchased a home through Kenner, and overall, the process was smooth and professional. Everything from start to finish was handled efficiently. However, upon closing, our family did not receive any welcome gifts, basket, or signage to commemorate the occasion. We’ve seen other neighbors receive these thoughtful touches, so it was a little disappointing not to be celebrated in the same way. It’s the small things that make a big difference during such an important milestone.

They really need to work better at following up on the repairs in the homes

There are over 20 items on our repair list that have been there since before we moved in. The painter says it’s the cabinet contractor issue. The cabinet contractor says it’s the painters issue. The painters say that the splashes all over our pavers are not their color. We have not painted anything since we moved in! The carpenter keeps saying they are coming, but never show. I get phone calls saying that they were at the house and no one answered the door, but we have ring doorbell camera and no one ever rang the door! Service is horrible. We have been here almost two months and VERY little has been accomplished. We get notice that someone will show up, and they don’t. I will be happy to copy you on all the texts. This is inexcusable and I won’t recommend buying a new home from Lennar. ... More

Trades just slap it up and hope they get away with poor work. The margin for this publicly traded company must be very good.

Customer Service and trades have been subpar. I was scheduled to two appointments by different trade. They do not show up and I didn’t receive call. Been in my home since October and. I still waiting on door locks BBC and weatherstrip

Day two our downs stairs bathroom , bedroom filled with raw sewage due to a sewage valve installed backwards, for the last 7 weeks we've been dealing with repairs which has been horrible. Quality of work is below standard, poor communication from all all stress of repairs have been placed on my wife which is ridicules. All that has been fixed now we're dealing with an upstairs bedroom flooring issue floor has a low spot which somehow was missed on inspection and our dryer vent was stuccoed shut cayseubg out dryer not to work and no one has fixed because apparently it's not a big deal. NOT GOOD! I am not happy about how they made the house so cheap!!

First and foremost, I pondered whether or not I wanted to write this review because I don’t like writing anything negative, however I think it’s necessary. For the amount of money I spent purchasing this home and the quality DOES NOT MATCH! I have had this home literally fall apart in front of my eyes. One issue after another and this is my 5th home, 4th that I’ve built and I’ve never experienced issues like this before. I have received notices from the HOA about my yard but yet the sprinklers were inoperable, and I had a work order in. The plants were dying and yes they place the cheapest mess in your yard , which is horrible to begin with. It literally look like a desert in your front yard! What type of curb appeal is this? Although I’ve had the contractors come out to fix the items, some have needed to be repaired a few times and that is not cool whatsoever! I closed in May and here it is only September and I’ve wasted more time at home waiting for a repairman than actually taking the time to enjoy the home. Instead of them applying semi gloss paint over the home, they Painted with flat paint, therefore the moment you close and move in, you’re hunting down a contractor to paint your hole which is an additional 3k. I have had to contact the individual who basically hand over the keys to obtain my keys, gate code, and my remote for the gate, when that should have been left at the door. It’s unnecessary and if Lennar is calling this quality??? Then they really need to speak with another builder to understand what quality is. It’s insane! Dave and Cezar are great and extremely helpful!

Outstanding service and quality from the builders and team at Lennar Mira Mesa. We visited the home weekly and often they would repair the smallest things before we even had a chance to say anything. Oscar and Jose are absolutely fantastic and by far and large were the best part of our first home buying purchase!!!

Overall a great experience, the only hiccup we had was not related to Lennar, but everything has been great so far.

The builder had amazing communication and the process was truly easy and enjoyable. One of the best experience for a first time home buyer

Well organized purchasing process from beginning to end.

Overall, it was a great experience. It got a little upsettingly when I was dealing with the loan process, but in the end everything worked out fine. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the home looked amazing. I was please with the price of the home and the interest rate was second to none. I definitely recommend anyone who wants to purchase a new build to check out Lennar.

The people were all great!!!!! The mortgage application was overwhelming because they had too many people involved and one did not know what the other was doing. Would I buy from them again? YES

Daniel from the mortgage team made this process amazing. Gary was honest with us and really helped when it came to the inspection. I trusted Gary the whole process and he is a great guy.

Love the garage options

Lennar has many great people that are assigned to help you with the various aspects of your home purchase and closing. All are specialists and quite qualified. Many greatly exceeded expectations. If there is something we needed to come up with to improve the experience for us, it would be to give the purchasers a better up-front idea of the ton of paperwork that comes at you fast and furious. Maybe a chronological list of tasks that must be completed, with deadlines and assigned professionals to deal with for each item. It got a bit confusing and overwhelming for us in the beginning. We have been very fortunate in that this is our fifth new home purchase over our lifetimes. Of all those purchases, this home has had the least number of move-in problems (only a very few minor things) that needed to be addressed. Kudos to Lennar for a quality job. ... More

the customer service folks are great

Lennar does a great job in the early stages by having an entire team reach out to us. As we got closer to our closing date it became hard to reach people on the team. When we closed, the hand-off was a disappointment. Instead of giving the door code to Ryan our concierge (who was awesome!), they instead sent it to the sales agent who had stopped returning our calls months prior to close. He happened to be off the day the code was sent to him and we couldn't get into our new home. He finally called us with the code. It was a very disappointing experience on a day that we had looked forward to for months. The team was too busy to talk to us and complained of being stretched too thin. The sales agent stopped by the house to give us our RFID tags and said "I have a gift for you but forgot to put it in my truck"...we never saw the gift. Not really feeling the love. ... More

The only issue I had was the numbers issue they kept giving me different quotes on how much down payment I was gonna have to give, and it was never accurate so it made me last very upset up to the last minute. Other than that, I can say that Lennar really responded immediately to everything. Explained everything from the home top to bottom. For having a three-story four bedroom extremely energy, saving home. After the purchase, if there were something wrong with the home, they got to it immediately. Customer service to the max. I did pay a little bit more than what I wanted to, but I got the house that I wanted. I got the model home. Home is amazing spacious and if I have the opportunity again, I would probably buy again from Lennar. ... More

Buying from Lennar was an overall good experience. It was difficult at times to get a response which makes me think they are overworked and have heavy loads of work. Everyone that I have come in contact with has been friendly and helpful. There are some things that could have been done better. For one, there should have been address numbers installed in ALL of the front doors, The way that this townhouse was designed makes it confusing for deliveries since the address is only visible from the garage side. Leaving it to the homeowner's expense to install a visible address numbers let alone the process to approve it ridiculous. I cannot tell you how many packages I have hand delivered myself because it was mistakenly delivered to my front porch. Another is where to put trash bins except in the garage makes it stinky and attracts bugs in the house. I like that there are 2 different thermostats to have better control of temperatures in the house. The website is very helpful in getting some repairs done in the home in a timely manner so I do like that feature. ... More

Worst interior paint job ever. Paint on switch plates and socket covers as if it were painted after the plates were installed. Even the things that were pointed out during walk through weren't corrected properly. We are still finding blue painters tape in areas that were not corrected. Customer service is great in responding in a very quick manner.
