Once our sale was completed sales representative was disinterested in responding to our concerns. Very disappointed in his performance. Initially construction supervisor was reluctant to meet with us. However he has been very helpful since our first meeting. Punch list staff (new home owner orientation, etc) was not particularly knowledgeable about appliances, heat system, eero system, ring system, etc. Warranty mamager has been great to work with. Lennar needs to improve communication and follow-up and training at all levels. Also, Lennar needs to provide better supervision to subcontractors. We understand that houses are still being built in this development. However, subcontractors throw construction debris, food containers, cans, scrap wood, and all varieties of junk around the neighborhood. Not only is this unsightly but it is a safety concern. ... Bought home at Lennar Huntersville NC, construction quality is below average, materials used cheapest.. Common Mail box is in front of house , but they assigned 2 blocks away so this is the sample example of them If you want to waste your.Money then buy many homes with Lennar

Finishing is very bad. Lennar should have been given more options for having the sun room or back yard porch. there is space which can be planned rather than making wastage.

Warranty service is really good!

This new home buying experience was different from any of my previous. I was told no "we don't" "we can't" "we won't" too often to remember what was able to be done. For the price of the house materials and finishings are so basic. (Painting, Cabinets, Floors, Carpet, Etc.) I closed feeling like I overpaid and have so many upgrades to do.

The initial purchase was ok but the closing, walk through and repairs were horrible. The closing was held up over 30 days and then we were rushed into closing. Lost mailbox keys for over 3 weeks. There were a lot of sloppy small repairs(poor painting) needed in the home and a few major things that required fixing. This is my 2nd build and my 1st home far exceeded the Lennar experience. Lennar builders put more emphasis on speed instead of quality of workmanship and materials. The positive I love the ranch style lay out and the open floor plan. We are settling in comfortably.

In general, the purchasing process was straightforward. So I'll give you kudos for that. But hand-off was handled very poorly. Promises were made that things would be fixed that are still pending over a month later. Most items should not have been allowed to pass initial inspection the first place. For example, I have an interior door that doesn't close, stair balustors out of order, a plastic water bottle visible in the foundation, mismatched ventilation screens and so on! And to have a representative state that this is not a "class 1 build" as an excuse is just not acceptable.

When we complained about quality of trim and paint we were told "it's not a custom house". Bad answer!

The quality of our home is less than satisfactory. It seems Lennar chooses to use too many inexperienced craftsmen and ultimately cannot deliver the quality of home you pay for. Finish work is definitely an area where they need to use more experienced craftsmen. Drywall finish, trim, painters, tile and cabinetry installation are all areas that NEED better QC focus, And Caulking cannot be the answer to every crack and crevice. The paint used is just contractor grade and any little bump or touch leaves a mark than cannot be wiped off or out. Nice looking homes and good layout/designs - just wish Lennar would improve the Quality of their work and you got what you paid for. ... More

Getting major issues repaired or replaced has been grueling! The mortgage loan process was equally frustrating and personnel were negligent in either responding on time or did not communicate professionally and sometimes found fault with us. we were forced into a closing where a few major construction items were questionable. We did not receive our final closing document until we were sitting in lawyers office so we delayed transfer of funds for a day and then threatened that we would not get keys for property until wire confirmed. then the next day as money transfer was being processed....which takes a few hours. we had numerous calls and txt wanting to know when wire would be received! Yet on the front side of closing when we needed answers we got very little response or cooperation. We do love our home but the experience for a couple 70 and over buying a new home after 30 years was mostly unpleasant and very tedious. ... More

Lennar released property to me as a purchaser with grading and drainage issues. Part of the property is a retention wall, house is built on a slope. During the construction, after hurricane Ian sink holes appeared on the property. In the next couple of visits, I expressed my concern with the stability of the land, but construction engineer said that Lennar will do it right. In good faith, I trusted that the builder have good reputation and will not allow unsolved problems before passing the property to the purchaser. I was very very wrong… 10 days after the closing, sink holes and hazard appeared on the property and compromised the integrity of the retention wall. The site is devastating. Here now about 45 days i am getting run-around and their land development that was supposed to come for assessment 2 days ago never showed up. We made attempt to connect with the warranty point person, he didn’t return the call. No one deserves this, huge problems, anxiety, concerns. I cannot even begin to explain the hardship in this journey that took all the joy and experience of a new home that I worked for all my life. ... More

The builders are absolutely horrible when it comes to cleaning the cleaning the areas of the homes they are currently building, they do not block off the areas where sod hasn't been placed so when it rains, we have a continuous mud slide along with settled mud in front of our new home and on our block. It's lazy workmanship not to leave those areas in a position where homeowner have to shovel mud and clean up excessive amounts of trash. This is far beyond a small issue, when my car slides on the mud because it is so thick. It makes it that much worse when we are told they only clean the streets on Wednesdays and Fridays, whoever is overseeing the builders of this area is doing a subpar job or the standards are extremely low ... Have some exception items after closing on 11/23/22. As of today 1/12/23, still not completed. Even scheduled for work, yet never show up on time and causing us to wait at home.

The home buying experience was really great.

Not having permits for water was uncalled for. Blaming everyone else made it worse. We wanted minor changes we were offered to pay for and sign a contract for(moving outside spigots and additional shelving in closet- both prior to their installation- and told no. Communications were “we don’t know” on every aspect. Now that almost all houses are sold there is mud in the streets, unfinished sidewalks, major common areas just mud, trash on the bridge at the entrance, etc. not impressed with Lennar.

Be sure everything is exactly as you want it. Once you close on yours home they are not so Really available! They do respond eventually, Just not as quickly.

Great community, looks so clean

This is a difficult review to write. While I love my home and am happy to finally be in it and somewhat settled, the process and experience getting here was very disappointing. The close date was moved multiple times. Often Lennar would blame outside sources but most times it was due to poor project management. The delays also cost me more money in the interest rate and escrow. Both my realtor and mortgage lender had to make several calls to get answers. Once I was moved in there were some minor things that I wished had been handled better. The first was the lack of cleanliness. The floors downstairs were covered in layers of red clay. The closing process was very stressful and communication between Lennar and the attorney was disastrous. Old documents were mailed, documents were signed after the fact, and signing day was not pleasant. Please do better, Lennar.

Elson was awesome from start to finish. Andrea and Andre needs customer service training. Cheyenne was great. Overall the experience was decent. The process was smooth although I was a nervous wreck.

Overall, nice home and amenities in Millbridge. Finish work could use improvement with more options for kitchen cabinets.
