Lennar has an amazing team of people. They made the home buying process as painless and possible, using Lennar home mortgage also made it easier. I love that they still physically check on you periodically, after you've closed! If that's not awesome, I don't know what is. ... More

The staff is friendly and responsive, the quality is good, only gripe is the inability to add some customizations (like having rooms painted ahead of time, or different fixtures).

I was told that my property in the back would be level that was definitely not true , it is very difficult with the slopes and valleys . and also there are landscaping trees that are missing in the back which would Help with my safety from the main street . I have been denied twice concerning the fence in my yard due to the property lines. ... More

1. The quality of the drywall tape job in the ceiling was very visible in master bedroom, great room, and kitchen. 2. Some of the painting details was marginable. Paint shown on light fixtures, handrail and excessive paint shown on walls. (stairwell & hallway) 3. Although the garage was unfinished, there was one place the drywall tape exposed with no plaster. ... More

I do love our new home, but I must say they dropped the ball on the finish work. Scratches on wood floors, nails protruding from walls, paint on carpet, dent in tub etc. It looks like it was rushed to complete and I don’t really think the finish workers cared that it was someone’s home. The neighborhood is great and the house is solid, but a bit more concern with the finished product would be good. ... More

Lennar still builds the best home for the money in Waxhaw NC, but they need to get their act together on quality of work and ease of working with customers. My main suggestion is always pay the extra $500 to your personal home inspector for a complete report even though its a brand new house. ... More

Building process went great with my builder, Clayton. After closing follow up has been difficult. Current construction in the neighborhood has trench my yard over and over, blocked my driveway on multiple occasions and I have had two flat tires driving through the neighborhood. My advice is to not buy when the neighborhood is still in process. The builder does not respect the already losed homeowners. ... More

We're enjoying the new home but there are a few things that we wish were done differently. First, for the price paid, there should be a sprinkler system installed. The majority of lawns in the neighborhood have died and we had to have someone trench our new lawn to install a system after the fact. At a minimum, it should be a paid option. The fescue breed grass is a cool weather grass that requires a lot of water. Second, the green space behind our home looks like a wasteland and it's been that way for almost a few years according to neighbors. Landscaping and irrigation needs to be installed as promised. There are community infrastructure components that were major selling points for us including the jogging trail around the neighborhood and connection to the green way. Currently there are random pieces of sidewalk missing around the neighborhood which interrupt bike riding for the kids and are dangerous. It would seem these things would help sell the remaining homes. ... More

We are very pleased with our Lennar home. The house is great so far. However, the community center is FAR too small for the number of homes. There will be about 400 homes but only space for a party of about 10-15 people. Lennar was too cheap to build a bigger, better center. We have also had many issues with the grass and land outside. The sod and front bushes were placed on rocks and are dying already (after only a couple months), but lennar doesn’t include the yard in their warranty. ... More

Lennar responds quickly to any issues, however their resolution process is poor. These are not high quality homes, however they are priced appropriately for the product quality.

I purchased a new construction D. R. Horton property in June 2018. I decided to upgrade to a larger home and purchased a Lennar home in November 2019. The longer I live in the Lennar home I realized D. R. Horton is a better quality builder. The Lennar quality is just not there. The drywall is so thin you can't hang a lightweight picture without reinforcement. The wood flooring has several chips in places my family and I could not have damaged it. For example behind the toilet in the half bath. The ceiling still shows major flaws, corners of walls, not really corners have curves. The lawn is ridiculously rocky and literally have trash under the glass. I believe the yard should have at least been clean before laying sod. Those are the major issue, There are another dozen or so minor issues. I must say these issues are not the fault of the employees I worked with directly, they were absolutely great. ... More

I am experiencing some poor craftsmanship on the house. Some of the items that were completed for the punch list were done poorly. After the side walk was removed the yard was not graded very well and had several leaks in the irrigation system. I am having difficulties with the HVAC cooling the house properly. I have hundreds of small flies that get in at night and they cannot seem to know where they are coming in. The person that came in with the window and door company was worthless. Overall I am not sure how I feel about my experience. I hope it improves. Benita has done an exceptional job in helping on the repairs and making the experience better. ... More
