The home seems well overpriced for the poor quality of materials used, especially the flooring. The houses are built MUCH too close together, and my backyard has a very steep decline that makes much of the yard unusable.

The home buying and building process was easy and pretty smooth overall. Lennar was pretty good about keeping me updated, addressing any questions I had, and addressing any issues that came up during the process. Have minor issues with dings and imperfections with paint/trim/molding finishes. A few minor issues popped up after closing and they were pretty responsive and quick to fixing those issues. The day of move in/closing, my wife ran the dishwasher to clean some new dishes purchased. About 15 min into the cycle we smell something burning, open the dishwasher to find the sprayer was improperly installed, fell over and caught fire on the heating element. We immediately sent in the warranty claim, to which we were told this is through the applicable manufacturer. After 3 weeks without resolution Lennar finally stepped up and replaced the dishwasher. Now we are about 6 months in the home, I have hardwood floors splitting down the center of planks. I brought in the flooring manufacturer ...

My wife and I were making a local relocation to downsize as empty nesters. We took our time and studied a number of homebuilders and new communities. When we came across Lennar's Cortona, we were sold! We had a great experience with Phil in the model home. He was so helpful in sharing with us the Lennar brand and the "everything's included" mantra. We quickly decided to mover forward on an inventory home. Find another builder! Buying a home from Lennar has been one the most stressful things I've ever experienced. If I had it to do over, I would not use a builder as large as Lennar. I would do my homework and I'd use a smaller company with a good reputation. My home closed in early March 2021, it's mid-May and I still don't have a working dishwasher. That is just one of a number of things that have made for an unpleasant experience.

From the start every single person was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. All texts, emails, and phone calls were answered or returned in a timely manner. Lennar made this first time home purchasing experience so easy and pleasant for us. We couldn't have asked for a better team. Our home is beautiful, spacious, and affordable.

Bare minimum upgrades in spec homes Phase one of the neighborhood has better upgrades/options.....their motto is Its all included And that was not the case- there were no window treatments, refrigerator or washer and dryer included.

I think the process was great despite the delays, but that was to be expected mid pandemic. The quality of workmanship is very poor though. As we live here longer we see clear errors of workmanship whether it be low quality materials, lack of care, or inexperience by the workers. There are scuffs on trim painted over, bulges in Sheetrock, we have tons of nail pops (that we were told are not covered under warranty), caulking is splitting in multiple places (again, not covered under warranty). For being our first time, we are very satisfied with our decision. Lennar has very nice house designs and customer service support is top notch. However, there are some details that can improve, like quality of the materials- some are cheap -, finishing touches, like sockets bad positioned, corners from our garage in cement were not finished, carpeting nails could be a little less prominent, etc. my recommendation is to check these small details at your house orientation.
