Before closing house was not deeply cleaned. Issues with land scaping. Rain water damaged the backyard two times. Not sure about the future. They did not give any sample of colors.

From beginning to end our home buying experience with lennar was disappointing. When we bought the property in November we were told an August finish date and everything was delayed till December the following year. During the time from putting our initial deposit and signing the contract to breaking ground there was no form of communication from anyone representing lennar. We disagree with the closing process where only 2 walkthroughs are given before closing. We weren’t able to blue tape the house ourselves and things were missed. Major issues should have been caught by the lennar team on their side before the walkthroughs and weren’t so we were further delayed. During the final walkthrough things still weren’t addressed and we had to reschedule our closing. Even on the final closing day, issues still weren’t completed. After moving in, the retaining wall behind our property collapsed and is pretty scary. Overall the whole experience was frustrating and disappointing. The communication, pride in craftsmanship and quality of work is lacking. Would not buy another lennar home ever again ... More

I have built 3 new homes this has been the worst experience

I was told I had to rewrite this because my first review was too strong. Our home buying experience was less than satisfying. Our salesperson, once the papers were signed, disappeared. Many emails and text messages were ignored. Not very comforting. We even recommended that a friend buy in the neighborhood. They did. Do you think it may have been nice if our salesperson reached out to us and said thank you for the referral. Of course not. We will move again for sure. But if this salesperson has anything to do with our next development, we will move on.

Communication from the mortgage branch was spotty, didn't know I was approved for a loan until just a few days before closing, after more than five months of back and forth. Pleased with the home itself other than the landscaping, sod was put down in a haphazard manner, large gaps still prevalent, a rough ride for any type of mower--very disappointing

I’m impressed overall with the quality of building and don’t see a lot of shortcuts or compromises. I was pleasantly surprised for example to see a hybrid heat pump with a gas heat, a comprehensive insect control system installed during the construction process, a whole basement dehumidifier with automatic pump and the like. I was a bit disappointed that red clay was tracked all over the basement during construction and is nearly impossible to remove with muriatic acid followed by recommended floor cleaner. A minor complaint and hard to avoid if construction season is rainy but looks like I may need to hire a professional to get this resolved or end up tracking red clay dust up the stairs for years to come. ... Gina Woods is an extremely good and very helpful snd friendly tealtor for Lennar. She has helped us all the way through the process. A true knowledgeable professional we cannot say enough good things about her.

We had a great experience buying with Lennar. Everyone we worked with were so friendly and answered all of our questions. They answered the phone every time we called and always got back to us quickly. We will work with them again in the future.

In today’s world can’t really complain how house was built. I’ve seen garbage from high end builders and vice versa so they did a fine job. Only major complaint is lack of customization options. Basically getting the exact model home. Paint colors, moldings, finishes, etc. would really cut down on future work and added cost.

Excellent attention to the client. And was always available through the buying process!!

My experience went very smoothly from purchasing a home and the mortgage process

Working with Lennar was no work at all. They kept me in the loop from foundation to closing. Great workmanship. I love my new home!

From start to finish we were offered clear and detailed information about the home purchase and construction phase. Our construction manager provided real time updates and was easy to reach throughout the entire process. The Lennar team became a blessing as we transitioned to our new home.

We spent a lot of money for builder grade finishings like a can light in the foyer and bedrooms, no mirrors in the bathrooms, no towel bars or shower rods at all. We couldn’t know because there was no model for our home. The walls are wavy, the corners are all crooked, the master bedroom door wouldn’t stay closed because the lock was not aligned. The closing was over one month late costing us $2500 in rent which they refused to compensate. The microwave was unlevel and had to be fixed three times. The plans were not run by the town causing major trash can pickup issues which we were assured before closing would be fixed by the town buying a smaller garbage truck. We were told if we didn’t water the new sod and it died, they wouldn’t replace it even though much of our yard is considered community common area. They said the amenities would be done in 2024 but now it’s 2025. We have to go to the edge of the current buildings with no parking or turn around for our mail dodging mud, dumpsters, trucks, and we counted 25 nails in the road. The overall process wasn't smooth and the negotiation part could have been better. I didn't have a lot of trust in all that process, seemed like something was all the time hidden from me. When moved I noticed a lot of things were done quickly, just to be done. Especially painting and finished. Lots of things left unfinished which aren't covered by warranty. Overall process I think could have been better. For the future reference, try and negociate the more you can, don't rush and if you finance with Lennar and you don't like your mortgage officer, switch to a different one. That will matter a lot. Every part of the process from first walking into the model home until the day of closing, was fantastic. The Home is beautiful. Encountered one or two small details that had issues after closing. I called Lennar and they were at my home in a week to fix it. Fantastic

We did everything remotely after picking out the style of home and lot we liked. The team at Lennar was always relaying messages and weekly videos of our new home. They made it seem like they were there the entire time!

As a first time homebuyer, I was extremely nervous about buying A home even more so a brand new home.I have to say Lennar has developed a very cohesive and efficient process from making the home purchase, to their mortgage lending process, home walkthroughs (pre-drywall, new home orientation and celebration walk) and to customer service contacts and help post closing. In each phase of the process every Lennar representative acted with professionalism and quality-care. The online step by step guidances provided to the new homeowners are well planned/thought out and extremely helpful and insightful. I would be lost without them. The Everything’s Included and automated packages are a plus. I could go on and on, but will end on this note. The house was move in ready without any issues. All/any request for repairs were done in a timely fashion. All staff was courtesy and available without any problems.

Could make the closing a little stressful. Had to make last minute changes in order to close.

I love the home and overall community. There are sone items from the builder stand point that I think should be handled differently. First, I have noticed multiple homes being sold to corporate rental companies at much lower prices which affects my homes price. Secondly, I have found the landscaping to be very cheap and not planted all that well. Since moving in I have had multiple dead shrubs and my grass is dying while other lots are flourishing. The grass is flourishing without water. I water my trees, bushes and grass twice a day but still dying.

The financial team was not aware of the new VA loan process. My processor did not communicate with me until 30 days before closing. I started my home buying process in August of 2022. I did not speak with her until late April early May 2023. I eventually had to use outside lenders and obtain legal counsel to close on my home. This process was horrible.

I had an overall good experience purchasing a Lennar home. Lennar has great people serving the company, including the sales agent, my loan officer, the construction manager and customer service rep., who were all excellent in their roles to support my purchase. However, I was personally challenged with a number of problems that showed right after signing the contract and moving in, which can happen. There is a warranty process in place meant to aid the new home buyer, which I did not find smooth and reponds with greatly reduced urgency. While some things were taken care of promptly, others were not, particularly when it came to appliances. I inherited a bad dishwasher. There were considerable delays to get that in working order and, frankly, when you purchase a new home, one expects new appliances in good working order. Lennar is a good company, offering offering attractive and decently made homes. The company has excellent staff and can do even better by improving the support and warranty process if and when problems arise, especially within the first weeks and months of home ownership. ...
