Nice townhome with tiny garage

The longer I am in my townhome (which I love), I'm realizing how ridiculously small the garage is. I drive a small Veloster, and I can barely fit it in with my two garbage cans. Most homes around me have their cars parked on their driveways or in the streets, because they won't fit in the garage. The other thing I would change, is that I think we should have more say in the bigger items, like appliances and HVAC systems. I would have preferred to pay a little more for better appliances.

Lennar could do better. In an effort to push out as many homes as possible, they missed the mark on quality and service. It’s unfortunate because it could be a great value, and many of the people involved want to provide a better product and experience.

I'm very happy with my Lennar home. The customer service is much better in Fendol Farms than it was in my previous community Kitts Creek. I'm having some problem with the heating in one of my bedrooms that isn't yet 100% resolved. Some of the cosmetic aspects could have been done more carefully; i.e. painting and concrete work. Overall very satisfied.

This home has so many areas of shoddy workmanship. Ton's of clauking issues scratches on the wood flooring all over the house. Customer service pushes back on everything. I will never buy another Lennar home. everything from the Sales rep to the Construction engineer is only concerned about you giving them a 5 star rating. I have been hounded for months to give 5 star rates.

Overall, the process has been very good during the building and delivery. Post delivery, living in a place where there are lot of constructions going on, there is always debris , Coffee cups, lunch boxes etc in your yard consistently. No one seems to be acting on that.

Great workmanship and material. I only have concerns about how the backyard was slopped so water doesn't sit on the lawn. The lawn has eroded because the downspout drains 3 feet from the patio porch instead going all the way out of the yard. I can hear my neighbor going up and down the stairs. I can also smell when my neighbors smoke cigarettes; it moves through the vents. There is no natural sunlight that you get in the front of the house because of the design, no windows in front of the town-home.

Overall I would not reccommend Lennar. While I love the majority of my home the two weeks prior to closing were not enjoyable dealing with the sales agent & contractor. They were dismissive and ultimately did not address some of the issues I had within the home.

The structure and neighbors are great. The process with the mortgage loan by Eagle was not good. Communications with the sales staff after signing the agreement to purchase essentially disappeared. Transparency from the corporate group is/was questionable regarding the status of the overall property transactions. Getting a straight answer regarding an estimated completion date for the amenities center continues to be a challenge.

When looking for a new home, I specifically looked at homes built by Lennar because of your reputation for quality and design. My home and our neighborhood has been a big disappointment in quality to say the least. Clearly, quantity and time were the priority when building and I have been disappointed since the day I moved in. Crooked walls and windows, paint on the carpets, exposed carpet tacks, etc.

The granite counter in the kitchen appears to be of second quality with chips along the edges and even in the center, it lacks that rich, smooth feel usually found on good quality granite. The kitchen and vanity cabinet doors were not properly adjusting banging into walls and other cabinets. A tremendous amount of drywall debris and dust in brand new duct work being sucked into the air handler in the attic and blown throughout the vents of the home. We love our new Lennar home especially the location and the layout of the house. Our construction manager was fantastic - honest, dependable, and hard-working. I will note a very interesting part of this entire process was the fact that Lennar corporate only communicated with my husband. We purchased the home together as a married couple, yet all communication only was sent to my husband's email. My wife and I had possibly the worst experience buying a house through Lennar. Not only did Lennar ruin our first home buying experience, but we are still finding things around our brand new house that constantly need fixes. First off, when we purchased our house, back in March 2019, we purposely bought a house that was not going to be ready until March 2020.
