So far, so good! Two months into owning a Lennar-built home.

I have to admit I was not looking to buy new construction after all the horror stories I had heard and read about. However, the deal on the Lennar home I ended up purchasing was too good to pass up. I believe the workmanship and choice of materials has been better than expected. Of course, nothing is perfect and there have been a few very minor issues so far but the response from the warranty team has been excellent. Fingers crossed that as time goes on, there are no hidden problems that reveal themselves, but so far, so good!

Builder is not bad, but finance company was awful cost me to loose $10000 incentive.

Concrete work is subpar, and the tolerance for Lennar's acceptance is unacceptable. Finance bounce is a game. The broker can't read the tax return and treats the customer like trash because of the bounce. Lennar should do something about it. I lost $10000, maybe the loan officer didn't like my accent.

Okay but a lot of trash left in yard

Overall quality is OK - biggest complaint is the sheer amount of trash left over from the builders. Rusty metal pins, screws/nails, shingles, concrete pour-over from the patio in the grass. Nightmare for anyone with kids or pets!!

New house quality is poor

During the inspection before the house was delivered, we found that the concrete floor of the garage was cracked into spider webs. This is not what a new house should look like. We understand that the concrete cannot be dug out and re-poured after it is poured. We just asked for repairs until the floor looks crack-free. But your staff was perfunctory. They simply applied a layer to cover the floor. But the cracks in the concrete are still clearly visible. When we communicated and negotiated again, your people threatened that if we did not close the deal, they would confiscate our deposit. So ...

Lennar responded:
Good morning and thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear you there were issues with your garage floor and you were not happy with our resolution. Moving forward, we hope we can earn back your trust as a homeowner. If you have any warranty issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to your local customer care team by submitting a warranty request through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a quicker resolution. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Not worth the money

If I wouldn't have lost my deposit I would have backed out of this purchase. I visited the home site just about every week during construction. I was always finding discrepancies and poor workmanship. They would fix just enough to appease me but it was still just the minimum. A crack in the slab almost all the way across from one side to the other, crooked wall plates, waves in the walls, loose studs, gaps in the sheathing, poor scarf joints in the molding, the list goes on. I told the construction manager that he needed to correct the subs for their poor work and was told "if we're too hard ...

The experience was wonderful and the builder were great too , at the final stage of the paper work I had a really bad experience and I don’t want anyone to go thru that again it was at the point that I got so much anxiety that got sick and ended up in the hospital for 24 hours ….. She should be more professional with her work and at time needs to learn how to treat first time buyer ….. at that end of the wonderful day it just made me feel like really bad … But now I’m so happy other people have been great and I thank you all

Lennar delivered right on time as promised. It was disappointing that even the smallest request ( leave the wire clothing rods off and I’ll do my own) was not even considered. Mackenzie (sales representative) was snarky and hard to deal with. I also wanted a small name change from the contract to the closing documents and wouldn’t even consider ( cost me an additional $82 to add a quit claim deed to make name change after closing) and I paid cash for the home. I am very satisfied with the overall construction and appliances; though w/d could be more sturdy.

We began our purchasing journey later in the build process. Colin was our GC through the end. He was very proactive at catching issues and resolving them quickly. He was completely transparent and upfront about what the issue was and how it would be taken care of. He's a real asset to the Lennar company and your brand.

Experience Buying with Lennar

My overall experience was 4 stars. If we were provided everything that was initially offered when the sales person walked us through the house, we would have rated it a 5 star. But as we got into the conversation with our agent and Lennar, things started falling apart; no appliances were to be provided (yet other spec homes were having appliances delivered to other homes in the same state as the one we were looking at), resolution to the promised appliances wasn't the same level of compensation, the house was "cleaned" before our walkthrough with Nichole (construction manager) and there were ...

The sales team at my subdivision was wonderful. However, the building process and the quality of my home is not worth the price point. I had to spend more money to correct cracked floors, a broken truss and framing that included “organic growth” that the builder said wasn’t mold. I have barely been in my home 60days and it’s clear that there was no attention given to detail. The ceilings are already separating from crown molding, walls separating from baseboards, issues pointed out at the final walk-through have reappeared.and window sills separating. In my mind, some of that is to be ...

Lenner drives to be a builder who cares about buyer experiences and this has hired buyer concierge and new home celebrations etc, but in really it doesn’t matter and the same old working model and vendor management is in place. Construction Manager pushes things to vendors and don’t follow up properly to ensure the issues are taken care off. New home celebration guy just shows up to make paint touch ups. People put hard earned money into these investments - do you think it is a joke?

I hope that someone is reading this. This is my second experience with this builder and unfortunately it wasn't satisfactory, again. Starting from raising the price after agreeing and paying the deposit, to the mediocre communication level throughout the building process, to the closing day to discover zillion type of "fees" - such as $750 paid to the builder to continue building the community! -, to receiving the wrong keys of the house because of which I can't change the schlage code until today, to time after receiving the house to discover that a door missing a knob, the heating system is ...

This is my second new home from Lennar. They are mass production builders. You get what they spec. I wanted a gas tankless water heater and despite the water heater being next to gas lines and the builder even drilling the exhaust hole in the siding they would not let me pay to upgrade. Make sure to do inspections. There were 3 structural defects that were pointed out to them then addressed. I loved my lot but wished I could have tweaked the interior a bit.
