Too many different places that I had to ask questions from. Things need to be streamlined! I was never told a lot of the rules and expenditures I would have. I did not receive any paperwork and was never placed on certain lists. It was a very stressful situation for me. No guidance at all. I am told it probably happened because I paid out right and never went to a closing. Was done on my phone. The paperwork did not get to the different departments. As far as fixing any issues ; the staff has been excellent. Checking even to make sure the job is done. Excellent experience with Josh and Hailey. PLZ stream like all the payments to 1 monthly billing and then they can divide it up to all the different companies. ... More

Lennar has very unhappy buyers.The problems can be solved easily as most people here have the same problem with the same people. I have been a project manager for the last 30 years and none of the staff I have met would work for me.There is one exception,Mike Bell.Mike is professional and gets things done.He follows up after job is scheduled.You need to hire more like him

Too many docusigns and different Lennar logins and people involved. Not fun at all. Should be easier process and one “go to person “ to contact.

When putting in a clean something that’s not working, takes too long

This is a first home buying experience. There were issues all along the way. Thank god we had a realtor that was with us every step of the way. Feel there needs more communication. All in all, we are happy with our purchase.

Neither bathroom came with any towel hangers, when sink, bathroom and shower normally have one. We are willing to forego the missing top bathroom cabinets. Pavement to the front door has a couple of holes exposing inner wood. We are still very happy with the new house, but the above needs attention.

I thought they did a great job in the beginning of the process very responsive until the week of closing. Once I closed - moving from another state - with no idea of who to contact for utilities HOA etc. So disorganized and frustrating. Once that was figured out, all is good. Love the place so far! I did go through Lennar Mortgage and they did a great job!

I think there are some basic things that needed to be included in these homes that Lennar does not. I think glass shower doors and maybe ceiling fans should be the basics in homes in Texas. I also think the team that builds the homes could use a little more supervision I won’t get into that. Other than that the homes are nice which they build more in other spaces affordable homes because all cities in Dfw need affordable homes not just in the outskirts.

Im happy with the price of the house but wish lennar gave the buyer options for their house. Having kids the flat white paint is terrible if you get a wet rag it takes the paint off. Also why not include a garage opener for the garage door. On top of that how much harder would it be to just paint the garage if you are painting the whole house just paint the garage too. Also if you are going to lay sod why not just make sure all of the lot has sod and not just leave half of the backyards with dirt. Or for me have 1/4 of the front yard with a pile of sand. Another thing why only paint the trim on the front of the house white and not do it the sides and the backyard. These houses are built with 1 goal and it shows build as many as possible and sell them fast with quality of work as secondary. Just drive down the street and you can see shingles already missing from houses that were just built this year. But drive in other neighborhoods in Portland and their shingles are just fine. Some other issues ive had with this house in the first month of me living here are week 1 AC went out over the weekend and I got told sorry there is nothing we can do until monday. So myself and my pregnant wife didn’t have ac that weekend. Last week we noticed our garage had a steady stream or water coming from the ceiling turns out the builder put a nail through the water line. They fixed the leak pretty quick but still waiting for the insulation and drywall to get replaced. Lennar in my opinion is the most affordable housing in the area, but keep in mind customer satisfaction does not mean much to them they just care about selling a house and getting the next one sold. ... I do not like the practice of having one lawyer represent all sides, including the mortgage bank. While it may seem to be convenient, I had no one to speak with during the process when I had questions.

This is my second home from Lennar . So I was fully aware of what I am getting into . When I put in an offer I was not even presented with a counter offer . That felt rude . Although the price what I offered was very close the sales in that neighborhood. Then I eventually they came back with offer after a month After you sign the contract they immediately move you to an customer advocate / coordinator by the emails we received it felt like it was more of slap in the wrist and a list of things you cannot do with bold letters . Don’t stop by to see the house .. . Less flexibility in terms of scheduling appointment Quality of craftsmanship is ok based on the price what you are getting . My first Lennar home we got GE appliances while now we get Frigidaire which might be lower grade Go with less expectations. ... More

The closing paperwork and communications at the end was terrible.

I really enjoyed the sales process, David was a total pro and was really responsive to all questions and helped us understand the options and features with each house we looked at. I felt like he was very honest with his advice and opinions and established and maintained a very professional and friendly demeanor with us throughout the process. The Lennar Mortgage experience was fairly painless as well with the exception of the website for uploading documents and such. The IT on the Lennar website needs attention, it doesn't work well and is not user friendly. My specific issue was it would not allow me to log in and would not allow me to reset my password, after numerous attempts over the course of several days, this was finally resolved. Some specific issues we experienced since moving in were the discovery that all of the faucets dispense water at such an angle that it splashes water out of the sink and onto the floor or onto your belly depending on where you are standing. They look nice but are not a great design for the sinks that were installed with them (which cause the splashing). I have replaced most of these already and it is a shame that the plumbers who installed them didn't identify and correct this issue (by using different faucets). The electrical (circuit breaker panel) in my house has been very challenging, popped circuit breakers have been an ongoing issue, specifically with the double ovens and the clothes dryer. We've had electricians out numerous times and also several dryer repairman visits to figure out what was going on. The dryer was popping the circuit breaker and was also found to have been wired incorrectly. They also have done a "max burn" on the ovens to help acclimatize the circuit breaker from what I've been told. The bottom line is this apparently is/was a known issue and should have been resolved prior to closing. And finally, the interior paint in this house was apparently applied while it was very cold which caused it to bubble and appear uneven throughout the home. This was noted during pre-closing walk through (home orientation and also celebration walk) and not corrected, actually many of the discrepancies related to paint that were noted during the walk throughs were not corrected. So overall, not especially impressed by the level of attention to detail and the thoroughness of the trades or post work inspection process. I love the house but I expected more from a brand new construction home than to have all of these issues after I moved in. ... More

Pretty bad experience in terms of communication, I tried to call so many times but no answer, even email communication is very bad. I still have issues with home insurance because I changed A to B. but I still pay A rate, and nobody does nothing to fix and calling or emailing is nearly impossible to speak with right pesons....

Please give your new customers very concrete explanations about your portal very carefully. And no mistakes in handling documents.

The experience was ok. The communication from our loan officer and the representative to help us buy the home was absolutely terrible. Did not explain the process to us at all and our loan officer would randomly email us at night and tell us we had to have the email responded to by the next morning. We felt in the dark all the way up to the day we were buying the house. We had no idea how much money we needed for closing and it was a very stressful time. Lost quite a few nights of sleep over stressing over our purchase. The builder and warranty lady were a pleasure to work with. But the loan officer and representative were terrible. Buying this home started exciting but at the end there were no sparks. Closing process was rushed, lender required documents right at the time it was requested. It felt like I had to drop everything I was doing to provide them with what they needed. During the last walk through; day of closing things that were found incomplete/needing fixing/touch up by hired and Kenner inspector were not completed. Vendors were still coming through the house trying to fix things so that closing could take place. Just very rushed. Then had to drive to the appointment to sign closing paperwork. Many things that were supposed to be explained prior to signing were not explained, numbers were different. Didn’t even get the celebratory experience of pictures and whatever else that typically takes place when closing. It really wasn’t an enjoyable experience. I love the floor plan. Lot is a little less desirable. Some material defects, they are addressing so far. A lot of concrete defects in the short-time in this neighborhood. A review in 6 months would be better served. Being in home 2 months is really not a lot of time to see what issues pop up and how they respond.

We bought in a non-home owners association. Think twice about that. Cars, trailers everywhere. Weeds not being taken care of. It’ our mistake but it won’t happen again. Lennar does not control the crime while bldg homes. I think it’s very dangerous here.

Richard seemed like a glorified babysitter over workers but really knew nothing. Lee knew more .House was DEFINATELY not checked for problems and repaired before sale was complete.

Good parts: great floor plan and house is functional. Bad parts: lots of finishing defects that don’t get fixed right away. Then you have to deal with crappy customer service. Example: bad paint job on exterior fascia - someone came to fix and used the wrong paint color - how does that happen? Example: During the final walk, we marked dozens of problems to be fixed with masking tape. Only the documented major problems were addressed and all of our tape was removed without resolution. I like the house, we just don’t like having to deal with all of the issues that came with it. I think a lot of this could have been mitigated with better quality control. ... More

Several items could have been made much better in this experience. From a quality standpoint every item, and there we a lot, could have been done the right way the first time and kept everybody's stress level down. Most items are as cheap as they can go, cabinets, closures..... We never got the trustworthiness we would have liked. We built in a 55 plus, and most of the time you just got an automated e-mail, hardly ever a person to explain, and they would come 5 at a time. Been nice to have that one person with you from start to finish. When you call who you think you should they tell you it is another department. For the price paid we would have hoped for some input, colors, options on hardware, upgrades, additional outlets. This is immediately shut down, they are building what they want and take it or leave it. The responsiveness to the issues was pretty good, roof tiles, roof leaks, walls, cabinets, floors, garage doors. Just a shame you have to have all these crews come back in and do the fire drill. The home buying process in the beginning was very fast which was good. However, there wasn’t much communication as to what “phase” we were in or status updates after signing the purchase agreement. As first time homebuyers, we were pretty lost with the whole process. The house is lovely, the walk through was smooth & easy. Issues came about after moving in such as no cold water, garage door not hung properly, vent to the bathroom installed without a spring, cracks in the shower floor.. but they were handled in a timely manner for the most part. Loan officer was very inexperienced and could reply to questions. At last experienced loan officer explained things better. Also faced that questions were answered late than expected. Overall experience is good, but could be better .

Too many ants inside the house, and the brake power auto off every day, lost mail in the mailbox
