They had us go sign papers across town during an ice storm knowing full well that it wouldn’t record because the trades had not been able get to the house to fix the blue tape issues due to the weather. The next day we were supposed to have our final walk through. I emailed them that morning at 9:00 am asking if it was going to happen at 11:00 because the weather was still bad. No response. We drove to the house to find no one there. They informed us while we were sitting out front of the house it wasn’t going to happen so our move was delayed a week. I had to reschedule the pod delivery and movers and had to pay extra fees. When we asked Lennar to cover those fees the consulted their legal dept and in the contract it says they can reschedule with reasonable notice. Apparently same day notice is reasonable, so they didn’t cover the extra costs. The fighting with them and their lack of communication ruined the excitement of being able to move into our now home. ... More

The condition at closing was as is from the walkthrough. Blue tapes were removed without item taken care off. Issues had to be repeated numerous times prior to it being taken care off even when documented. The space to the attic and in between floor was painted shut..now either a knife or something must be use to cut out in order to assess the location. At the end, Tyler had to work on resolving most of the issues on his own in order to close. Closing was pushed by a week. I have purchased Lennar homes in the past, however this house will be my last.

Our sales rep Karina was super helpful and respectful she was there to answer any of our questions that we had. The title guys were also very nice and helpful the walk through goat of our home was a horrible experience being first time home buyer Scott the one who led the buyer walk was pushy punching the home himself instead of attending our needs and concerns on the home. But Karina was there to ease our minds and help us get through that obstacle to continue with the purchasing process. Big shout out to Karina.

I feel that there should be some personal contact I needed some guidance during the process a phone call might go a long way instead of an email

Make sure the house key is properly rekeyed before they hand over, they don’t care much once the closing is done. They focus on selling new homes only all the time.

The most important thing I would suggest to perspective buyers is to be at the home site weekly, address the concerns as you seem them and make sure you do not close on your home until all punch items are resolved. Also make sure you get your own home inspector.

Interior paint not well done. The house at closing was not clean. There was trash and building materials in the garage at closing. I had dispose of trash and building materials just to park in the garage. Lennar could do better but it doesn’t seem like they care.

Some of the people that we work with were amazing and sweet but there were others that weren’t too friendly. When we contact them they would seem annoyed. The home we brought was suppose to be “move in ready” by a certain date. Once we closed on the home they clearly did not finish everything in the home, it seemed quickly put together. A lot of mishaps with the home, I’m glad they have a one year warranty on the home but to find numerous things wrong with the home that weren’t fixed during the blue tape walk through was disappointing. It seemed that the workers were fixing things in the home the day of closing and they were done with the lowest quality of care to be frank. They also messed up our mailbox situation and we weren’t receiving our mail for weeks which incurred late fees on certain bills. The customer care service person stated they notice that we had two mailbox addressed to our address but didn’t care to say or fix it until I came to them with the issue. If anyone was to ask if they should purchase a Lennar home I would 100% not recommend, unless they have a lot of free time on there hands to deal with situation after situation as they’re careless and are just trying to mass produce these homes to get it sold. ... We like the style of our home, but the finishing details are not the best. The crown molding is poorly installed. Very obvious joints are visible. The appliance package is not the best either. Our microwave stopped working after 3 weeks. Took almost a month to get a new one. Our customer service person was great in getting this solved. If it weren’t for Chris C. We would still be waiting. Hard to believe there are no ceiling lights in the bedrooms. There is no egress off the back porch either so the homeowner has to spend money right off the bat if you want to get off your porch without going back in the house. Also, the basement floor was filthy with clumps of dried mud/concrete all over. We needed to have it professionally cleaned. The front porch was also very dirty with mud and paint on it. It would have been so nice if Lennar took pride in the finishing details of their homes before handing them over to the buyer who paid a good price for their new home. ... More

Initially it started out wonderful. However, once I decided to purchase and made my deposit, the communication went bad meaning I had to four people emailing me to send them the same info. I had to include all four of them in an email asking why don't they communicate with each other. I had the mortgage person, the mortgage assistance person, the realtor and the assistant of the assistant emailing me. The next thing was emailing me last minute for information I already send but they claim they did not get it or it was sent to the assistant who did not send it over to the mortgage person. Then the assistant asking me for letter from my job needing a specific date of me moving in. It was a mess. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. ... More

I was asked for my passport and was told that this is needed by underwriter. My loan officer never talked to me about this. This is racial discrimination for me, I haven't been asked for my passport in any of my previous home buys. I am planning to file complaint with Consumer forum on this.

quality of materials is to poor and cheap my floor noise

So the home is nice for the most part, the yard is a good size. My only concerns were that the closing was a bit of a mess and it was hard to get a hold of certain people. Also. We have had an ant problem since the day we moved in and we’ve even paid to have someone come and spray but they keep coming in through the walls

The finance part of the process was for stressful. Loan officers sending me emails on a friday evening requested me to get documnets that was need from companies closed on weekends within 24hrs. I also had to reach out to them every time for an update on my application and see what/if any other documents were needed. Other than that the process was okay. The quality of the home is good for first time homebuyer and the price.

If you ever want to build a house with Lennar make sure to bring a realtor on your first visit. The building process is very straight forward, you get what you get with Lennar no added features other than picking your finishes. Final finished product 6.8/10

A very stressful buying experience - Gyorgyi the sales rep for Lennar was the reason for our stressful buying experience. Encourage new buyers to get everything in writing and not assume anything. Gyorgyi was like a used car salesperson - tells you anything you want to hear whether is right or wrong - just to make the sale. Ultimately, we are happy with our home; however, we just about walked away from buying a home from Lennar.

Lennar mortgage need improvement in their mortgage process and have some experience underwriter.

Frank blew me off as soon as he lost the sale. Sandra was to the point of being rude. Didn’t speak to me nicely, wasn’t at closing due to illness, never heard from her again. Michelle at closing was very nice. Walk thru and warranty work with Myles is spot on.

Our home buying journey started very well everyone was so nice, enthusiastic and responsive. This was very important as a first time homebuyer as “we didn’t know what we didn’t know.” However once we were committed to the purchase the quality of customer service declined severely. It was very difficult to get ahold of key contacts for questions/concerns. Our realtor had to intervene on several occasions just to get a response. It definitely felt like a bait and switch in terms of care. We were simply happy to get through the process but are thrilled with the home thus far and encouraged by a rave inspection. Outside of the quality of the home, some issues have arisen in the community. The HOA routinely schedules meetings during work hours, there have been unruly renters (we weren’t even aware renters were allowed in the community as this would’ve impacted our decision to purchase), work crews and community members show little to no care for property (walk through/damage yard and grass). ... Everything was great price, house exempt when it came to financing they guy that was helping me out never answer the phone only when he needed something, long process and for him to just say you are not approved. I try to call him back never respond back.

We are paying a monthly fee. I would like to have a gym, pool, clubhouse, in my lifetime!

I was disappointed no glass doors in the front no bathroom light fixtures all the other Coach Homes have all the extras.

Although my experience buying my house was not the best, I must mention that I thank Mathew B for being patient with me due to my lack of experience in the new technology. An example, I was able to scam some documents using my iphone, thanks to Matt.
