I recently purchased a house, and overall, it was a smooth process that I would recommend to others. While it wasn't 100% perfect, the experience was certainly positive and aligned with my expectations. From the beginning, the communication with my real estate agent was clear and timely. They guided me through each step, ensuring I understood what to expect at every stage. The paperwork was straightforward, and I appreciated the transparency regarding costs. There were minor hiccups along the way, like a slight problem with getting a later appointment for the walkthroughs date and a few unexpected repairs that popped up during the inspection. However, these issues were handled professionally, and I felt supported throughout the resolution process. Warranty not addressing flooding issue . Next step Charlotte county permitting my home for occupancy when flood damage possible due to grading. Still not addressed. Lanai set low unable to drain.

Everyone involved from the sale to the closing were very helpful and polite. The move was flawless. I will highly recommend everyone to purchase a Lennar home! They build a great product!!

Everything from start to finish was terrible including the real estate agent. I put my unit up for sale the day after I closed and cant wait to get rid of it.

We had a very long drawn out purchasing experience through the loan application, both the FHA and Lennar’s conventional loan people. They were very impatient when they wanted information but otherwise slow in keeping us informed as to what was happening. They asked for information that was none of their business and eventually told me that if I did not give them the information that the loan would not be approved. This process took weeks. I went to a bank and got an approval with 4 days. After move in, I (a former builder) found that there were house framing studs missing in places where it was apparently inconvenient. ... More

Firstly, let me say dealing with the team at the community of Willow was a pleasant smooth and easy process. Starting with Nicole, who made the purchase quite easy and relaxed. Dealing with David and his team to obtain my mortgage was great. Finally working with Kim in the title office was stress-free. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience, and I have recommended Lennar to colleagues and family. Even so my sister is buying a place at one of Lennar‘s other communities.

All the homes look the same after you have seen a few. Take your time to really go through the homes at your pace and don't feel the pressure of needing to make a decision before the end of the quarter when prices are sometimes reduced. Go for location over what the home has featured as built. You will update things on the inside over time, but you can not change the location.

The buying experience wasn't bad with Lennar. Communications was good. But I have to say the quality of work done on these homes is not good. Cheap materials and shoddy craftsmanship. They are thrown up as quickly as possible. For the first time home buyer, you can't beat the mortgage deals they are offering but if you can afford better, go elsewhere.

Although the buying experience was smooth and easy, upon delivery the 1st day my AC broke making the move in 90’ weather difficult and it took a week to get repaired. Since moving in I’ve had contractor after contractor in my home doing repairs that quite frankly should have been addressed prior to turn over. Broken roof trusses, roof repairs needed, drainage issues poor carpet installation to name a few. My back yard has been a swampy since move in 8 weeks ago because of an issue with the sump pump installation. Overall I like my home but am disappointed with all of the complications, they definitely need better quality control, as the contractors do subpar work, and the builder clearly just wants to get the house delivered so they get there money. I paid fair market value for a home that has had me stuck waiting for repairs every week since I moved in, and I still have many more to go. If you buy a Lennar home make sure you do your own home inspection, they clearly don’t monitor construction well. If you're considering buying a home from Lennar, let me offer you a word of caution: proceed with eyes wide open. Lennar is not a company focused on the customer—they are entirely built around maximizing shareholder profits, even if it comes at the direct expense of the buyer’s experience and satisfaction. From the outset, it becomes painfully clear that Lennar refuses to accommodate even the smallest request to substitute or add materials. Need a minor deviation from their cookie-cutter setup? Forget it. Any suggestion, no matter how reasonable, is met with a flat "no." Why? Because customization doesn’t serve their bottom line. It’s cheaper and faster for them to mass-produce homes and leave the burden of upgrades, repairs, or adjustments entirely on the homeowner. Their one-size-fits-all approach isn’t about quality or service—it’s about efficiency, speed, and profit. Lennar’s true customer isn’t you—it’s the boardroom. The executives, the shareholders, the quarterly earnings reports—that is who they answer to. Once they’ve squeezed every last dollar from a development, they pack up and move on to the next unsuspecting community. Let’s talk about their HOA. Calling it a "dictatorship" would almost be generous. Everything is on their timeline, not yours. Want to install a simple fence to keep your children or pets safe? You could be waiting months for “approval.” Instead of streamlining the process by coordinating fencing options pre-move-in (as any thoughtful developer might), Lennar stalls and delays, wielding unnecessary control over what you can and can’t do with your own property. The entire experience reeks of corporate indifference and bureaucratic arrogance. You are not treated as a valued homeowner—you are a transaction, a line item, and a means to an end. So before signing on the dotted line, remember what you’re walking into: a sprawling, profit-driven machine that views neighborhoods as revenue streams and buyers as disposable. Choose wisely. ... This was a simple process from start to finish!

The buying process went fast and the Lennar craftsmanship is well known for its quality for example Moen brand bathroom faucets, porcelain tiles and quality cabinets, Lennar homes offer more in their built homes versus the competition when comes to price and good quality products. I would like to mention Spencer for his outstanding customer service and Chris from Lennar mortgage for his expertise and Linda also Michelle from Lennar title for their hard work.

It's hard to read all of these reviews be excited about Lennar, but I thought to provide my honest feedback. First off, no home is perfect, even if new. If you expect that, then the home sale price should have two commas in it, not one. That said, I have had the same cosmetic issues, minor delays, and general warranty concerns others have outlined. I have had nothing but a positive experience with the group that built our home and would like to publicly thank Teresa and John for his quick responses and service.

The overall experience with Lennar was good, especially from the beginning with sales. The sales team was great, straightforward and professional. The Lennar mortgage team was also great to work with but I will say they treated someone else I know who purchased a first home in the beginner series with less concern and value thank they did us with a higher priced home. They should be no less important. As far as the home itself goes, I believe it might be lacking in quality materials and workmanship. Corners seem to have been cut to save money. We have only been in our house a month and a half and already have had two significant warranty issues - one due to poor workmanship and it took 4 visits and 3 weeks to correct. Communication on that was terrible as Lennar couldn’t seem to figure out which sub should address and correct the problem. The second issue seems to be a manufacturer defect and possibly low quality materials but it poses a safety hazard to my family and needs to be corrected ASAP. So far, I am still waiting. I am also coming from a house that was very solidly built with a high degree of workmanship and high quality materials so it’s hard not to compare. I do love the floor plan we chose with Lennar. It could not be more perfect . I do hope my home will prove itself to be of good quality over the years and I hope Lennar proves themselves to be a quality builder in the long run. ... More

The home buying experience needs to change. It's very stressful and you are not guaranteed that you will get the house based on your offer as you only get one chance. It's a single offer with no chance to counter offer. Lennar needs to allow counter offers. The home itself, for over $1M, is average. Material selections are average at best. Vinyl flooring and not hardwood. The same small MDF trim used for baseboards and window trims. Bath fixtures are Moen which are nearly bottom grade quality fixtures. Windows are only trimmed out downstairs with sheetrock wrap upstairs (1960's). Millwork quality average with mitered corners uneven. Mid-grade cabinets with fixed shelves that don't roll out for pots and pans, HVAC that is in the ceiling downstairs and floor upstairs to save costs (heat rises so ceiling vents are useless in hot weather for cooling) along with the use of an HVAC system that doesn't have smart home integration. The paint that was left for touchup doesn't match what was used for the house and paint peels off the walls likely due to painting over dusty walls. Floors squeak. Guest shower is a fiberglass shower/tub unit with no door and requires a shower curtain. Overall, corners are cut everywhere that can be and still pass code. ... More
