We HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT try and go with the insurance agency that Lennar recommend. Lennar Insurance Agency. They were rude, would not return texts or phone calls and would not insure us unless we paid for a full home inspection even though if was a brand new build and we found this out on the day that we closed. So We were without insurance for a few days because we had to find a local insurance agent (we are not from the area so we had NO idea where to get I insurance) We did enjoy working with our rep that sold us the house.

I chose Lennar because of their reputation and floorplan. I am however disappointed in some of the workmanship that is sloppy. Their customer service department is unapproachable except by email. There is no one who could answer a quick question or refer a client to documentation regarding an issue.

We bought a house is all I can say. The craftsmanship is not there. The Sheetrock and painting is the worst I’ve seen. The paint should be considered as primer and the house really needed painting. If this was my primary home, I would definitely be upset with the overall quality. All I can say is…..we bought a house and there’s nothing extravagant about it. I would definitely never use their mortgage and probably never consider their homes

I bought the house last August and there was a problem with the floor of the house. We are in November and still waiting for a solution

Get a home inspection !!! There were some issues for sure. House was delivered with blue tape on walls, unfinished work… These houses are slammed together as fast as possible. Very rough around the edges and lots of corners cut. The sales team made statements that were not true and very quickly the “plans changed”. The appeal is the price for a new home vs what the market is for an older home. It’s a tough economy so buying a new home is very appealing. New != quality, so take that with a grain of salt. Unfortunately I'm a furniture maker so workmanship and overall quality are very visible to me. Here's what I got for $800K: No handles on cabinetry, flat paint or primer used only, No soft close hinges or drawer guides, one hose bib and a front yard that was supposedly "carefully" designed and looks cheap as heck. Amazing that I'm looking for painters to redo the interior.

Overall just OK in our opinion. SO MANY layers of people involved in this purchase. We never knew who was doing what or when. Not sure Lennar did either for that matter. Still have things to complete that were told would be done. It appears that they are in a big hurry to get out of this development and on to the next, so we’re getting short changed. Hope that isn’t the case!

I would love to give Lennar 5 stars but my experience over several months with “one bad apple” sales agent Monica left Such a bad taste. I hope that if you chose to Buy Lennar you have a better sales experience because once you get to work with builder Justin and Tom they give you a 5 star experience. Quality should be their last names.

The workers hired to build the home were not craftsman. I've been around master carpenters and furniture makers all of my life and they would not have hired the workers that built my new home. The finish work is disappointing.

Rush to closing, home was not really ready. Response for repairs has been good.

The home provides good value for the price paid. The person I had for warranty issues did a GOOD job. However, other owners have had difficulty getting other point persons for warranty issues such as serious electrical issues to respond at all. The HOA, which is in charge of community concerns such as irrigation for new plantings, is close to unreachable. No phone calls to the HOA are answered: they go directly to voicemail. Phone calls are often left unreturned. It takes close to a month to get the HOA to approve or disapprove of home improvement plans such as having your lanai screened. Requirements for improvement plans were not accurately communicated to the owner when initially requested, leading to a rejection of the owner's application. Communication with the HOA is poor to non-existent. ... More

I am not technologically sophisticated. I have found reporting and following up confusing, frustrating, and non-productive. There also were an exorbitant number of problems.

Lennar offered more incentives to purchase a home than any other builder in the area. They were also flexible with me as I did my due diligence. A few items for feedback. The construction manager came off a bit rude while walking through the home the first and second time. My thoughts are some more professional communication skills.

Lennar forced us to close during a hurricane. The home wasn’t finished and their own punch lists were not completed. Rush rush rush to meet theor month end quota.

Our initial encounter with an agent was good, stayed on top of things communicated well with us. It was by happenstance that we learned that our agent quit and it was obvious the replacement was less than thrilled to take over our sale. I now understand this agent has been less than supportive of other clients whom was their first point of contact rather than an inherited client. Finger pointing and zero accountability for jobs not done in a timely manner or of good quality was chronic. Value.... appliances were at entry level and with the investment would have liked better quality. 2 weeks into our home we purchased a new dishwasher. Went to pull out the unit and all pieces are plastic and no insullation.... with a house full of tile.... no surprise the noise was horrible when it ran. Sad to have to spend additional money to get what I feel should have been better quality up front. Communication between agent, lender, title company and site manager between each other was lacking in serious way. To find out the closing was bumped by an email rather than any representative from lennar is unprofessional. Especially when the emailed communication was not sent to us until late afternoon and people had already left for the day. Too much oversight and as more and more houses go up in the rate they are, there will likely be many more issues for future buyers if this doesn't get under control. This is not our first lennar home. We knew what to expect on some of the warranty stuff but we were not prepared for the treatment we got from our 2nd agent and the lack of accuracy of why delays were caused to move closing dates. If there are too many jobs for one manager to adequately cover, hire more people. We like our house. We love location. We are okay.... just disappointed with the building process this time. At this time it would be challenging to recommend lennar. I'm fortunate to have a husband that is handy in construction so immediate fixes that needed to happen he did.... couldn't afford to wait weeks as it related to irrigation and leaking sprinkler heads and valves that were brought to the attention prior to closing. Still waiting for sod replacement. Had they waited to place the landscaping AFTER the water meter was hooked up it would have prevented the grass from dying before we even closed. All of which we were promised would be resolved. Rest of the walk thru work has been completed aside from one thing. So I do appreciate that Again, we believed we went into the purchase with our eyes open but was not anticipating the challenges we were met with. I hope this review is met with the intent I meant. It has been good so far thank you

I feel that our home was rushed to make a closing date. The sod was not yet rooted. In comparison to the rest of the homes in the neighborhood there were very few shrubs planted. The tree in the front will probably have to be replaced. There are door hinges that don’t appear to be properly installed and so on.

My experience was not the best. I loved my seller Rebecca and the builder Kent. They really are fantastic people. They were very responsive to issues and would get them fixed quickly. However, the lender side of Lennar was a nightmare. Larry and his team did not communicate well with each other or with my realtor. Actually, we were several months in before they actively included my realtor; which in turn made my experience more difficult and frustrating as a first time homebuyer. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. I was given bad and inaccurate information and was made to resend info that I had submitted multiple times already in the portal. I would get info from one person saying everything was good and in a matter of minutes I would have another person saying all in going to hell. Nerve racking and frustrating is an understatement. ... Good location but not prices

I'd like a Lennar representative to call me and discuss some of the issues in my new home. It is not fair to deliver a finished product product like my house. Thank you.

Not a great experience

The windows and walls are not straight. The finishing on walls and tiles is poor. Overall it seems the work is done by inexperienced workers who were in in rush to finish. We highlighted this during inspections but response was that they cannot do anything and quality inspections are only for issues that are visible from 6 feet away. Unsatisfied with builder’s quality for a $1 M home.

We love our home and the location, neutral on the overall home buying experience rating. During the process, there are many, many things that should have gone smoother. Unfortunately, without disclosure, the Builder removed many items from our build in an effort to increase profit margins (I.e. Epoxy Garage Coating, Vanity Lights, Glass Front Door, Smart Home Features (EERO Router) etc.). One of the items was compensated, but not without a fight with the sales rep and manager. Items were documented on Lennars punch list and our Buyer Punch List 30+ days prior to closing and are just now being finished 30+ days after closing despite asking them to complete before signing. Lennar threatened to keep our Earnest Money and sell the home if we did not close, purely because a CO was issued for the home. I still have concerns with corners that may have been cut during construction, due to an abundance of other neighbors with issues - but time will tell. Please hire a Buyers Agent and Real Estate Attorney if purchasing here, review the contract thoroughly, hire a third party inspector and stay on top of documentation. ... More
