We had a leak in the downstairs bathroom where a nail was put through a cold water line. Mold was found in the walls from the leak and required holes to be placed in the walls and flooring in the downstairs bathroom, hall closet and entry area near the garage. We had a sewage blockage that was noticed in our walk-through. There was carpet installed on the stairs over broken floorboards. There was vinyl flooring placed over a hole in the sub-flooring in the master bathroom. I had to spend a few hours scrubbing white overspray from our flooring because the Lennar representative wanted to come use Acetone to try and clean it, which is very clearly recommend against, and I didn’t want further damage to my floors. Overall the price of the home was affordable, especially for the area. The home was built with builder grade materials so didn't expect anything of quality and I received exactly as expected. Overall the buying process is stressful and they force you into using their mortgage. I do not suggest using their title company. The sales staff are so-so. At first super responsive but as the process moves along they do a horrible job coordinating things and keeping you updated. The walk through person was probably the only bright spot. He did a great job explaining where things are located, how to work the items, and how to file a warranty claim if needed. However items which were repaired left other issues cosmetically in the home which were never repaired and now left up to me to fix. Again, the price of the home for being so centrally located to Dallas was amazing. Even with all these issues I would buy again only because of the price and location but if I was ever looking for a more suburban home I would completely avoid Lennar. ... More

Hasn't even been a month, but a water pipe burst and flooded the first floor and dragging your feet to fix it, unless I email and complain about it. Probably should not send out mass "rate us," emails before checking the recipients, but here you go

All in all we like our house. Yes alot of the materials used are cheap, but they are not terrible. Have not been in the house long enough to give a real assessment. We have hope everything will go well!

It was overall good. The only thing I didn’t really appreciate was the home loan officer that I worked with, who was very unresponsive and difficult to deal with. Not helpful at all, especially as a first time homebuyer, the loan officer made it such an unpleasant experience. During the home celebration/inspection, we found a few paint that needed to be addressed and I was promised that we can ask for some paint after we fully moved in. Now that we’re all moved in for a month now, they’re saying they can’t give us any paint as it is a state law.

Very unsettling not getting towel bar in the bathrooms. Thermostat was not compatible with WiFi when we were told many times it was we had to dog it with the Ac company to get it resolved ( had to change thermostat)?Chris did help us reimbursed. The soil has many rocks and construction materials in the soil. No light in the pantry. No support with smart appliances, door and ring setups. The dinning room light outlet box was not center to the room we had to pay to have it corrected. All and all it was a frustrating experience.

The experience was like a roller coaster ride. Other staff are very accommodating and nice. House was okay. Not as good as before with the quality. BUT, their mortgage is a horror

Lennar sales person is very nice and helpful, other workers don’t trust , When you buy a house from them before closing need to be very careful check everything if they don’t fix them you have to fix them on your own. Like my gate to backyard from day one we bought the house cannot keep closing have to use a zip tie to zip the gate not very professional job , lay dead grass and blamed you not watering it ,

Felt like the issues never got resolved and it was rushed just trying to close us on the house there’s lots of screwed up things that’s should of got fixed and now I have to do warranty work for all of it instead of it just getting done right the first time I don’t roll like that and I find it unacceptable when other people do

We’ve had an okay experience. A lot of the finishes are cheaper quality with things missing like towel racks, toilet paper holders etc that you don’t realize won’t come with it. The way they dramatically slope the small sides of the home also just make mud pits on both sides of your house and our neighbors are having the same issues. We’re on the edge of the path and Lennar still hasn’t put sod down on the path along our yard so it’s another mud pit now overrun with weeds.

Honeywell thermostat & Ranni water heater are not connecting with app or button devices, I was told that Lennar stop providing the devices to make such connections.

I feel we got good value for what we paid, workmanship and material was sub par compared to other local builders.

Though the overall buying experience was ok, there are poor quality workmanship including a big chip of wood lost in the main door near the lock. Shocked how a big builder like Lennar could miss such basic quality checks.

get the checklist of repairs done before closing

1-extremely disappointed in the lawn. Sod looks like it was laid by a child because there are gaps galore! The seed that was laid on the sides and back almost refuse to grow because it was not watered properly or regularly prior to us moving in. There are brown areas all over. The dirt used was the wrong dirt and wasn't graded because there are so many rocks and stones like construction dirt was used. I had to throw down more seed, i water twice faily, and am only getting patches of grass. Whoever the lawn company is, why don't they come on the same day of the week? We were told it would be every Friday but they've come on Wednesdays and Thursdays. 2-why is Lennar in charge of the HOA? BC Communities has all the say not the residents. It shouldn't matter how many people are in the community. At least one of us should be allowed on the board. 3-workmanship on our house SUCKS. We see where they've screwed up but tried to hide the imperfection with paint, caulk, or putty. There are even faults they didn'rt fix! 4-we were told there was an old cemetary by the tree line across the new road from us, but that was a lie because it's right next to our house! 5-why is there no activites director? WE NEED ONE! 6-the house is not senior friendly. The windows are too high and are single hung indtead of double. There are no bars in the shower and we weren"t given the option. The shower isn't easy to get in and out of because yhe bottom piece is too high. 7-because our previous house sold in 2 days and the buyers wanted to move within 30 days we were in a bind. We wanted to buy in Bridgeville but would have had to wait several months for the house to be built so we kept looking and voila! You had one already built and we could move in pretty quickly. It was not that easy as I assumed to buy a home with Lennar, very poor and little cooperation from seller and especially the mortgage team.Due to the unavailability of the Mortgage person i had to go with higher rate of interest. Very little information was provided on house construction status and have refused to change closing date to 2 days before due to my availability. Apart from it I have referred 5 of my friends who bought the house and no referral bonus was provided. The issues addressed during the orientation were not even addressed. Overall it was a bad experience.

Concrete sidewalk poured 2 hours before heavy rain. Sod not staked down and all moved during rain. Dead tree planted in backyard. Ants everywhere inside. No one from Lennar cares to make it right.

Financing was a nightmare

I am happy with the quality of the home. If lennar finishes swimming pool, children's play ground, and other amenities listed asap- I think it will be really helpful for us. Thank you

The buying experience went well. The issues we are having is post close follow up and quickly resolving our issues instead of making excuses of why not.

Sinc the closing, more and more problems have appeared.... Ugh

So the sales process is very easy. Great mortgage rate towards the closing costs. Now here is where it goes sideways. We had a leak in the laundry room, all a Lennar issue. Took them 6 weeks to deal with it and it is still not fixed. Tiling issue in the kitchen, not yet resolved. Would I buy again, no, this is not a good company and the price reflects that they cut corners everywhere!!!!

It was not pleasant. Overall disappointed in the process and trust me, I’ve done this many times. I will say that warranty has been much better than the sales, mortgage and construction.

Once items were not resolved on the punch list we were passed to many different individuals and did not appear it was any one specific individual's job to resolve the house to get us to close. Do not recommend the mortgage team for the same reason. I would not purchase through Lennar again based on this experience.
