In Lennar the important thing is to sell, the client is not important

To summarize, I have bought 2 properties with Lennar, in the first one I had problems but I thought it was an exception but in the second time I had problems again so I finally decided to file a service request or complaint, that was more than a month ago and I still have not received response even though I sent it again due to the lack of response. It was addressed to customer service and the person responsible for that area. I hope that these surveys are reviewed and activate improvement processes and customer responses. thank you so much

They will fix all the big items but, it’s the little things that are going to drive you crazy. Make sure they fix all the little stuff before you close because getting them to fix stuff after you close is a mission.

The Worse Home Buying Experience

I’ve purchased a couple of homes prior to this experience with different builders and I can say this was hands down the worse home buying experience for me and my family from beginning to end. Lennar’s lack of communication throughout different departments and with me and my realtor when making inquires caused us to have to spend unnecessary money and Lennar didn’t take anyone’s time but their own into consideration. This experience was unpleasant, depressing, and stressful. Based on this experience I wouldn’t buy another home with this builder and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else.

The house is beautiful, no complaints on the looks. My negative is the lennar title company, the representative was in a poor mood and was trying to rush me out from buying my biggest purchase in my life. It’s unfortunate that you have to use their title company or you lose the incentive, so the company knows there is no competition or any incentive of hiring nice people to work there, just left a bad taste in my mouth since that is essentially the last person you interact with.

From the beginning, the sales consultant did not explain the process--especially that with Lennar there was really no choice in anything. The consultant did not explain that a buyer basically takes the next house that is scheduled, and the limited choices, interior and lot, are already determined by Lennar. No literature was available and explanations posted at the model (and even on the Lennar website) were outdated. I felt, all along, there was a concerted effort to keep the customer away from the build (yes, of course there are liability issues) and in-person interaction with the ...

No attention to detail below subpar experience.

Our first thought is, there was no attention to detail. Very poor quality and workmanship. It seemed to us that the general contractor did not do any walkthroughs. Prior to closing we did our own inspection, there was missing insulation (completely missing from the front of the house) and the electrical box was not grounded, two major issues, which we wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t because of our inspection. We noticed a lot of imperfections on our walls, floors, paint, dry wall and ceilings. They are putting these homes up “fast” and not ensuring quality at all. With that said, our closing ...

Most of this rating is related to with after the blue tape walk through, Cody and Brian were very responsive but very little was corrected by the fixing team, especially final cleaning. We had to send a detailed list to Cody of issues after we had closed. Including not being able to lock the front door. Hopefully this rating will cause some one to contact us in order to lay everything out. We are still waiting confirmation, since 22 Decembers closing, that all had been corrected. Since we are still overseas, Our realtor has graciously been our agent there working with your team.

Well, I should start from the beginning, Sale team was very good, working with Todd was our pleasure. Building manager Dan was also very good but building contractor did not meet any expectation.so many issues, workmanships of the contractor Lennar is using are terrible they don't know what a good quality means. Starting from framing and ending on painting. So far this is our second month to live here and problems ready starts. Kitchen Cabinets doors are loose, HVAC system is not working properly paints are pilling, all the windows are collecting so much moisture and damaging a wall hardwood ...

Most customers who buy new homes already sign up for the homes even before it is built. So it is possible to customize some of the features that the customers ask for. An example for this is the choice of appliances. However, Lennar does not provide this option. They only build houses with their rigid plans.

Home is wonderful. However, the sales agent was terrible. Answers to questions changed from day to day. No clarity. You CANNOT trust sales agent. Please, read that contract carefully before you sign it. There is NO going back with Lennar. Sales agent had all the wrong utilities listed on sheet she gave us. When we trried to contact her to get the correct information: No answer- even going up the chain. How can people be so ignorant of the service they are suppose to provide! So, they do not tell you but the first water bill is outrageous. Our first water bill for 20 days was 500 ...

After closing, I could no longer get any help. My sod was out in in such a way that I could not open my gate. I reached out to Zilkia several times and she said she was working on it. After a month, I finally gave up and had to dig up my yard myself to fix what was done wrong.

The quality of workmanship does not reflect the price of the home. For the price we paid, we expected far better. The layout of the house is great and we love living here. Just wish there was a greater attention to detail that corresponded to the cost.

At first prior to going into contract, the sales team so super friendly and would always respond and communicate. I’ve you go into contract with them, it all goes away. Everyone on the office plays the blame game with no one taking accountability. They are rude and made our home buying experience very negative. David basically told us that his drive home was more important than us getting our keys and gave us all sorts of attitude. When he dropped off our keys, he did not acknowledge me but walked straight to my husband and only spoke to him. No one reached out to explain the closing process ...

Lennar in Viridian

Viridian is a great neighborhood and community. You pay for that. The designs of the Lennar homes in this community are wonderful and the models show well. Unfortunately, the quality of the build is not what we expected for a home at this price point. We have been working through several warranty items which ultimately could have been non existent if there was a little more attention and higher level craftsmanship in the initial build. Lennar quite frankly needs to hire better contractors that seem to care about the quality of their work. And needs better quality control… interior paint and ...

Our construction manager had just been transferred to this community 2 days prior to our NHO. He did not know how to answer simple questions about what to expect in the community. He rushed us through the house at NHO and was very dismissive when we pointed out cosmetic defects. We did not get to "blue tape" the house and are now faced with a myriad of issues, such as overpaint everywhere, to the point we have to be on our knees scraping it off. There are baseboards that do not meet at the angle, cement that is crumbling and stained and don't even get me started on the lawn- uneven, full of ...

We were excited to join Angeline community and are going to be snow birds January-March. We were told we would close in mid October. The close date was moved up to mid September and thus we had a purchase earlier than desired. We were also told the clubhouse would be ready by year end and it is not close to being finished. As a big exercise enthusiast and swimmer it has added expense and travel to our stay this winter. Quality of cupboards is not great, dishwasher is a cheap model. Also trying to get some work orders completed-we had 2 cracked tiles, lots of paint drips in the house after ...
