Lennar provides an Outstanding Home Buying experience

Lennar provided me with an amazing home purchase experience. The responsiveness from day one has been amazing. I called to schedule a tour and was able to view the house the same day. My Lennar Sales Rep was Michelle. She was personable and professional. She showed me two homes, which helped me to know which one was calling my name. I was so impressed with the style and quality of the home. The added benefits of installed blinds, dishwasher, gas range, refrigerator, microwave, washer, and dryer were really nice perks. Michelle walked me through the application and pre-approval processes. She ...

I will start off by saying that this was, and is, the best option for our new home based on the location and certain criteria we wanted. Our salesperson, Connie, was great and genuinely always responsive and we appreciate everything that she did along to make things happen. However, Lennar's website advertised a variety of customization options, but none of those were available (fireplace, sprinkler system, basement bathroom rough in etc.). The only customization options you will have on your home are the finishes, provided you agree to buy the plot early enough. We decided to move forward ...

Lennar responded:
Good morning Keith, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience with us. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear about your disappointment. That’s not the experience we strive to provide. If there are still any outstanding warrantable issues, please email us at CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com with the details and referencing this review so we can help you by following up with the appropriate teams. Having been a Realtor in Florida and purchased well over 20 homes, I found the buying process to be cumbersome. Closing documents exceeded 250 pages, WOW. The number of pages I am accustomed to for a closing had been 20-30. I guess Lennar is doing their part for full employment in the areas they sell homes. Aside from all of the paperwork I have been very pleased with Lennar's follow through and workmanship in the building process.

Home buying experience was electronic. So it was easy. Was supposed to have an orientation and celebration. All we got was an envelope INSIDE of our home with a letter. Many questions about the house that we had to seek out answers. Workmanship is sloppy, gaps between tiles and floors . Paint is CHEAP! Washes off when cleaning. Paint on areas that should not be painted . Concrete on pool tiles , cement on areas that should have been cleaned. Sunken tiles by the spa. NO TOWEL BARS, just TP HOLDERS. Design in bathroom is plain. Could have made it better by providing a place to put shampoo etc ...

Could be very helpful if Lennar makes formal introductions of the home owner to all vendors including Charleston Management and all appliances manufacturers where warranty is provided. Essentially a complete guide list. Because of missing secret code I am yet to register with Charleston. Similarly the fridge broke down and tenant wanted to know how to get a work ticket issued.

Unfortunately, I had the worst and most humiliating experience buying a home with Lennar. If they wanted to know about my two-year consecutive employment history, why didn't they ask me at the beginning? I understand that the FHA process is rigorous, but the procedure adopted by Lennar was terrible. I have never been so disrespected regarding my professional career as I was during this purchase process. Lennar asked me how I got a job at an American company if I had no “recent” experience in business or team management. Have they never heard that when a professional moves to another ...

Lennar responded:
Good morning Daniel. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We’re truly sorry to hear that your homebuying experience—particularly during the loan process—was an unpleasant one. That’s far from the standard we aim to uphold, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations. Moving forward, we hope to earn back your trust as a homeowner. If there are any outstanding warrantable items, we encourage you to submit a warranty service request through your Lennar account. This will help ensure your concerns are properly documented and followed up on by the appropriate ...

Unfortunately, the workmanship and materials were severely lacking in our new home. We had multiple issues that could have been avoided if the proper time was taken. I feel as though the priority in this new community is quantity of homes built versus the quality of those homes. However, I will say that the responsiveness to the issues that were brought to their attention was, for the most part quick.

They don’t follow their own craftsmanship guidelines and instead do patch jobs that make things look worse. Spent time with the rep taping quality issues in the house just to have someone else come in and rip the tape off without ever fixing. At the final walk through I mentioned how nothing was even fixed and the guy didn’t care. They know that their contract forces you to close on an unfinished house. Lennar has gone downhill from what they used to be.

Overall the home buying experience has been good. As a new homeowner settling in though, the hurdles to obtain answers to issues that have arisen has been frustrating at times, with many issues having to be gone over multiple times until the correct company is determined.

We love our new home! The process was flawless and communication was great throughout the purchasing process. We chose to use Lennar mortgage and their recommended home insurance provider which made for a smooth flow of all the documentation for approvals. The quality of the home is as close to a custom build as you can get. When you consider there were likely 200+ hands that took part in the build. The only issue we had was with appliances and the response time repair. I realize now it was not Lennar but the service for appliances and Ring doorbell. We also have a gutter that is noticeably ...

I began my journey with Lennar through the sales process with a telephone conversation with David Scardo. He was very helpful & followed up with emails with e-brochures, etc. We scheduled a personal visit to the property in early April 2025. The tour was very professional & low pressure. We were offered several choices which met our needs. The decision was easy. The closing date was set & the process was simple. Lennar Mortgage was extremely helpful during the process. The new home was ready for move on the promised date. We’re very happy homebuyers.

Josh (onsite project coordinator) was helpful. Finance team had way too many people and handoffs. We had to submit the same documents multiple times. Also, our closing date was mixed up due to all of the different players. The house was significantly cheaper than other builders in the neighborhood. However, you get what you pay for. It's like we purchased a brand new Fixer-Upper with all of the modifications and upgrades we are having to make.

I guess the biggest thing is the only objective is to get the money from your buyer. Afterwards, it’s you are On your own. But, with all the HOA’s, water, gas, electric, etc. buyers could greatly use the benefit of a helping hand. Also, warranties, what we need to do who to call, connectivity issues in the house, all this can be overwhelming!!!

Lennar responded:
Good morning, Henry. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry to hear that we fell short of your expectations. Moving forward, we hope to earn back your trust as a homeowner and deliver the experience you deserve. If there are any outstanding warrantable items, please submit a warranty service request through your Lennar account. Not A Good Experience

Where do I start? From being misled by the realtor to the poor workmanship in my home, the experience with Lennar has been nothing short of disappointing. The issues didn’t stop at closing—getting warranty work addressed has been a constant battle, with delays, lack of communication, and unresolved problems. I expected better from a national builder, but I’ve learned the hard way. I will never buy another home from Lennar, and I’d strongly caution others to think twice before doing so.

Construction, walk through, finance… terrible experience. The amount of times I have had to reach out to the warranty dept is embarrassing. Although this warranty team is great- why are they repairing things on a new home? Finance team, construction team manager…. Need to do better.

Lenar is in it to turn over homes…it’s lost in the name. The workers who do as little as possible, the nails left after clean up, I’ll go so far as no integrity in workmanship… we paid for “luxury”. There is nothing luxurious about these homes especially the finished product. Location is wonderful…integrity is lost with these homes at closing
