Rushed closing leaving awful taste for future buying from Lennar

Lennar rushed closing of the homes for the hill district, knowing well the street is not ready for living conditions. This make investors lose thousands of dollars for couple of months. Worst closing experience for the purchase of The hill district .

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize that your closing experience in The Hill District did not meet expectations.
If there are any warrantable items still pending, we invite you to email us at CorporateCustomerCare@Lennar.com, referencing this review, so we can review your concerns and work toward a resolution. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

I've been here for two months and unfortunately I'm having some issues. The CO2 alarm has already gone off five times for no reason. Two devices have already been replaced, and the problem seems to persist. The toilet on the first floor was uneven, requiring three days of repair work to fix it. These are some inconveniences you don't expect when buying a new home.

Moved in and house has issues from the start

This is my second home purchased from Lennar in four years. In both instances a water pipe was punctured multiple times when the microwave snd kitchen cabinets were installed. Both times my kitchen had water damage and I had to wait a month to have the repairs done. New kitchen- torn apart for a month- twice. My garage door opener still loses power. Not repaired. Two months in. Quality is poor. The price is lower than other counties but the quality control needs improvement.

The process of buying was easy, I signed to take the house off market and received a closing date within a month. Received the house but front door lock was faulty. I opened one the windows to let the smell of new materials out and the frame of the window started to peel and the paint came off the same day. The garage door was making noises because of a screw out of place, the finishing inside has details here and there that could be corrected. The tile piece outside for the garage lights were stained by the construction and they said they couldn’t do anything about it technically. The back ...

Lennar Sierra Bella 2 - Good personnel on-site; poor quality workmanship

We expected little problems would come up after purchasing and I can say the personnel were very good about responding to concerns. Unfortunately, the quality of the building construction is very concerning. The wall in my primary bathroom is not properly centered (a window that should be in the center is 4 inches off line).

Lennar responded:
Thank you, Richard, for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found the workmanship to be of poor quality and that we did not meet your expectations. If there are any outstanding warrantable items, please submit a service request through your Lennar Account so your local Customer Care Team can assist.

I purchased a new construction home and unfortunately it was not the greatest...or even a good experience. The new homes sales rep did not seem knowledgeable when asked questions and on at least 3 occasions told me things that were not true about finishes and the lot. The structure of the home seems good. However, the finishes were not done thoughtfully or carefully at all. Sloppy paint (on the flooring, cabinetry and spots on carpet), caulking on doors and cabinetry that is very thick and stands out in spots, low quality appliances and finished products. It really is just the shell of a ...

I would avoid Lennar knowing what I know now about the company and quality of their homes. They have admitted to utilizing a fast pace low quality model that I feel lends itself to poor craftsmanship, unaccountability, and a propensity to only be concerned with the bottom line. Simply put, they just don't make quality houses like they use to. When issues came up, I was given the cold shoulder for weeks and told that the warranty doesn't cover the issue that I was concerned about. It did not seem like they were going to provide an amicable solution until I started CCing people on emails ...

Poor Workmanship & Oversight

I say poor workmanship & oversight because so many of the issues are related to an untrained workforce. Simply stupid things: leftover carpet padding kernels under the carpet, so there are chunks of unevenness noticeable when you walk on the carpet in your bare feet; same with subfloor fasteners not set fully that you feel through the carpet; extremely poor caulk quality called out during the walk through, made worse when corrected; garage door track misaligned causing the door to warp; garage door weatherstrip short by 3+ inches; refusal to paint the wood truss portion that is visible in ...

I’ve been watching the market for years. My family left me with pets, so I couldn’t choose an apartment. I had to move in the next two months. I looked at preowned homes, but didn’t find anything that didn’t need a tremendous amount of fixing. So buying a new house seemed like a great idea. The rep at the Neighborhood was great. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to pay premium prices for the thrilling experience of being treated like an inconvenience, look no further than Lennar Homes! Lennar Mortgage: Apparently "transparent pricing" is code for "surprise rate changes at the 11th hour." Nothing says "trusted partnership" quite like last-minute rate hikes when they assume you're too invested to walk away. Spoiler alert: we did walk away and found a lender who apparently attended the radical school of "honoring their word." Construction Management: Customer service training must have been replaced with a ...

The aboslute worst Mortgae experience in my 76 years. I have owned and applied for mortgages on 9 homes. This company does not know what they are doing. Buyer beware... I have an 844 credit score, and hundreds of thousands in liquid assets and the Mortgage "agents" made the process extremely time consuming and painful...Asking for the same documentation MULTIPLE TIMES...Potential buyers seek your mortgage elsewhere!!!~

Lennar lies and has poor planning. Throughout the buying process, Lennar promised that there’d be landscaping by Lennar or the HOA in a certain key area that was influential in our buying decision. After taking possession of the house, Lennar deflected to the HOA. The HOA which is owned by Lennar outright refused any landscaping. The area in question remains rocks and trash - a permanent blemish on the neighborhood. Due to poor planning by Lennar, 2 months after moving into this house we still don’t have mail service. The home itself, as of today, is a solid house. Do the cabinet doors sit at slightly different heights? Yes. Are some of the angles a little off? Sure. But totally within the price expectations. However, the communication and process was terrible. Delays, failure to communicate said delays until 3 days before closing, no one seems to have answers and half the people I talked to took a while to get back to me, if at all. Glib company line apologies didn't do much to improve it. Worth it? Because i'm here already, absolutely. Would I do this again? No thanks.
