This being my first home buying experience I can say Lennar didn’t make it easygoing like promised. They are quick to contact me when they need money, but slow to get back to me about my questions. Slow or never at all. I will never buy from Lennar again. Nobody was ever on the same page and we were being lied to about things. Plus, we’ve been in the house for two months and already having problems. I wouldn’t even recommend Lennar to my worst enemy.

Was not happy with my Lennar experience. We love the area and our neighborhood but the the experience with Lennar and its salespeople is very sketchy! We were given three days notice to do our walkthrough and it was during a time our Lennar salesperson knew we were NOT available due to the personal and work commitments. They stopped corresponding with us after we asked for a new date then went ahead and did the walkthrough without us. While we have found the home to be exactly what we were looking for the overall experience was a struggle. The lack of communication during the process was astounding. We were asked to provide the exact same information multiple times as if the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. Even to the point after signing the closing papers and in the process of moving, we did not know if we could have the "keys" to the new home that day. Fortunately at the end of the day everything worked out and we did get our dream home and look forward to many years to come.

After our 3rd party inspection the construction super assured us all of the items would be addressed by closing inspection. Half were not. It took weeks for him to address the deficiencies after closing. I had to contact him multiple times to have the repairs addressed. One item is a tilted roof vent. The construction inspector contacted the roofing company and they said, "It is good enough." I expected Lennar to hold their contractors responsible for quality workmanship and fight for the home buyer. They did not. When we walked the development before choosing Lennar we looked at lots, and noticed construction development and home quality. One thing we noticed is all the homes had Carrier heat pumps. When we came down to walk for inspection we were given a different brand of heat pump. Lennar has now gone back to Carrier for the remaining 15 lots in the neighborhood. There are 2 lots with the cheaper brand heat pump ours and one other out of 90 homes. When we spoke to the sales team we were told the contract language allows them to use different vendors. Very poor craftsmanship.A few things already broke and we've only been in a little over a month. They stated that certain repairs had been done when they didn't. Poor materials used. Very poor roof craftsmanship. At closing they only gave us an envelope with a few papers instead of a full packet with copies of everything. 2 months in and we still don't know how to pay our HOA. No one ever informed us. Their new home orientation process is horrible. They don't do blue tape, instead they have to take pictures of everything which takes forever. Overall just not a pleasant experience.

ONLY Recommend for good build quality and post work request support. Starting with sales person placed at on-site offices. They don't disclose things before hand clearly. No clear communication on what you WILL GET in your home vs what you WILL NOT. In our multiple conversations, never disclosed what should we get as per your booked home.

I like my new Lennar home, exept for one issue: I signed a contract on my house, which is the Carson model, based on the model which I saw. It was beautiful, and the refrigerator and cabinetry in the kitchen were perfect. I didn't get to see the actual home I had purchased until after I signed. I assumed the refrigerator and cabinetry would fit like the model. My floor boards are coming up and my oven wasn’t hooked up correctly and it took 2 weeks to find out from Lennar we have to call the manufacturer for it to be fixed. My hvac went out about 4 or 5 times because it wasn’t level and the coils didn’t set right. We been in this house 2 months.

We have had a really terrible experience with Lennar. This is our first home purchase, and we thought it would be simple and smooth being a new home. The sales office was mediocre. Pretty disorganized with only keeping track of things on paper. They weren't able to print stuff out with lot information for us, it had to be handwritten every time we asked about another lot. Next, the person who our walkthrough was not very straightforward with us. He rushed us through things, which caused us to be unable to mark a lot of things that needed to be redone. The builder did a nice job building the home. As with any new construction there are follow up issues. Those issues are not handled expeditiously and it is difficult to even talk with someone, whom to ask and where to go.

We bought a calusa. Multiple construction issues were addressed eventually but if built properly and there had been any quality oversight would never have been present when I purchased the house. Be very careful. There is no oversight on construction and things are rushed and poorly done. I am worried about what I did not find.

Balmoral is a very nice community. However, if buying from Lennar there are things a person should be aware of/pay attention to small details…such as in most Lennar homes they install one extremely small sink in the Master Bedroom. There are no gutters on the Lennar homes in our sub-development and we had to pay for after market gutter installation. The wooden fence installed is of poor quality with many holes and/or damage planks. Also, Lennar advertises the garage can fit large trucks…this is not a true statement. 3rd Lennar home we’ve purchased and this likely will be the last. Lots of incompetencies from start to finish with contract numbers being wrong or changed and overall very uncomfortable. Larry made our move in process extremely irritating. Blue tape issues weren’t fixed in several places, our carpet and tile remnants were removed and still trying to get them. He’s rude and only wants to tell us how he’s never done any of this for anyone else. $650k invested on this home and 1.4M total investment with this company and we can’t get some leftover building materials we paid for anyway? Crazy!

We moved in and it wasn’t ready. I kept asking are we still closing end of May, is it done and was told yes and in fact it was not. We have been here since end of May and things still need done. They are getting down slowly. It would have saved a lot of headache for us, if it was done prior to move in. Fortunately, my husband works from home, so he can be here when people come to fix things. We paid almost a quarter of a million dollars for this brand new house and don’t feel we should be going thru this hastle.

There is really not much good to say about this experience with this Lennar home. This is my second Lennar new home. I purchased the first in St. Augustine (Winward Ranch, Princeton). It had a few minor issues, but overall was a nice home. This home, first community for Lennar in Ocala FL, is a workmanship nightmare. From the curb appeal (lawns are substandard St. Aug grass full of weeds and different varieties) to the concrete work (just go for a walk in the hood and look, including mine!). The home was dirty when I moved in. It took me forever to unpack because I had to clean before I started unpacking and clean as I went along. The baseboards were filthy. The paint job was really sloppy. I’m still cleaning up paint spills and splatters off the vinyl plank flooring. Also having to touch up paint on the walls and baseboards. Communication skills were poor not only with customers, but amongst yourselves.

Fantastic experience until signing of purchase agreement. Communication from Lennar new home sales consultant was primarily limited, ambiguous and reactive throughout the building phases. Issues prior to closing left incomplete with no follow up. Construction issues discussed on closing day remain outstanding after two months. Warranty service items are not readily available for homeowners to view once submitted. Warranty service items slow to be resolved.

Poor quality material, I requested a paper copy of the HOA bylaws, I was told by the HOA that LENNAR Title should provide that to me. Traci ignored all my calls regarding that. When I purchased my home from first Texas the HOA package was given to me on the day of closing. Money ain’t everything, no one cares about customer satisfaction

Had a bad experience with buying the home through Lennar. Had to go through another outside source to buy the home. Didn’t get any amenities from Lennar on buying a home because we didn’t use them at closing. Got the keys about 3 hours after closing.

It was hard to get a home through Lennar especially if you are elderly and moving from another state like Louisiana. If you don’t have a job or money enough that can show that you can afford it. You might be disappointed unless you can find a good realtor who can help you through the process. Otherwise good luck.

The overall quality for the price paid was very disappointing. The AC unit was not set up correctly and leaked in our ceiling, the trim was not straight on almost all walls, paint was splattered on our new floors and stained. The floors have nail pops and bumps, and the walls have many pops and cracks already. I would not purchase another Lennar home unfortunately. Great customer service but poor quality home.
