When we did the inspection few days before closing, the irrigation system broke. So Lennar turned it off. This killed our lawn because no water for the grass. Lennar promised us that they will take care of the lawn and irrigation system. What they did was let the irrigation water the grass everyday and the running time was very long. The front and back yard turned to paddle, wasted a lot water. The water bill for the first month was more than 600 with no one live in the house. And the house was very dirty, some construction waste left inside the garage. We have to hire the cleaner to clean ...

Shoddy work by sub-contractors.

The electrical work was, I guess, compliant with the mandatory electrical codes. But, not by much! The work was pretty minimal, was rushed, and of minimal quality and competence. I do t know where Lennar gets these sub-contractors from, but it’s not anything they can or should brag about!

Lennar - My house was dirty when we moved in.

My house was dirty when we moved in. The paint look like a child had painted the ininsideCabinets in my bathroom have glue all over them glue on the main bathroom floor. The light fixture in the main bathroom is falling down and no one seems to care. I can't walk on either side of my yard because there is a really bad slope

Poor quality. No attention paid to detail. Rough edges all over. Lights not lined up. Dry wall cut up and patched showing the poor work. Floor not leveled under carpet. Many other things. They could do better.

The craftsmanship is very poor and when I brought it up during the walkthrough they made it seem like it was normal. When at the office to sign closing documents the lady was so rude and felt very rushed. She didn't even introduce herself.

I have had several issues with the home that have made me unhappy with the experience. All the breakers in the kitchen blew right away and had to be replaced. Told quality of breakers not good. Also major gaps in garage door that they want a two visit process for. Make it easy for home owners!!! Too difficult to resolve issues.

Quality control must inspect the house before buyers do a walk through. And also make sure all appliances are working properly. And show them how to operated.

Poor Workmanship

Lennar is a poor builder that is full of excuses. They contract with cheap trades who do not respect that this is someone’s home nor do they care about their workmanship. Many of the trades have cut corners and did shotty work, including crooked doors, ceilings, and general crappy cover ups. Lennar should be ashamed of themselves.

The price that I paid for the house that I got doesn't match. The quality of workmanship is very poor. It's not just one area, it's everywhere. Foundation concrete has stains, colors on the porch (from and back) both are single coats that can last one year. The second floor is uneven, the walls are not perfect at 90 degrees. Unfortunately, the items that we pointed out through out our building process were not addressed and then during our NHO and final walk thru all items were still not addressed and now we are 45 days since closing and we are still having to work thru these issues. Overall the quality of the contractors you contract with is below subpar and the fit and finish on the house is just not good. We would not recommend Lennar to our friends and family.

Lennar - The house is beautiful, but I have to place about 10 service

The house is beautiful, but I have to place about 10 service request to fix different kind of issues like drywall holes in the bathroom, celling and others areas, electrical connections, stucco issues around the house, paint issues inside and outside of the house, cabinets, celling, about 30 broken paver’s. The inside house are very dirt. When we do the walk trough one week before closing Lennar bring me promise to fix the issues before they bring me the house and nothing happens I have to place the service request because they don’t do anything. I have toured numerous Lennar model homes in the past and decided to purchase a new construction home with them. I signed the contract in 2021 and they unfortunately transitioned to an inventory system where you have no choice in a lot of the main features. This includes the front elevation type and color scheme. This applies to a lot of the other options as well. My overall buying experience was fine from getting prequalified, to getting my conditional approval, to ensuring all the necessary paperwork was submitted on time. It was pretty straight forward with no issues. Securing the mortgage went well. Now the home itself is where I feel the ball was dropped. Poor communication. Changed CSR reps 3 times. Multiple delays mixed with the horrible communication required multiple moves and overlapping rent on multiple locations. Then gave estimate of 6 months, so we signed a 7 month lease, just to find out 2 weeks later they wanted to rush the close within a month so they could hit financial targets for the quarter. Several issues due to rushed close causing dealings with about a dozen contractors post closing. Various issues around the house still unresolved. I would not recommend Lennar. Closing was such a hassle. They pushed my closing date four times. When I closed the house still wasn’t fully complete. They did a horrible job communicating to keep myself abreast throughout the process.

The overall workmanship was poor, final product was rushed with many gaps from broken cabinets, sloppy paint job. Insurance premium through HIPPO (subsidiary of Lennar) was not paid forcing lapse in homeowner's policy and issuance of multiple dunning notices.

Lennar has great potential however unfortunately my experience has been subpar and least satisfactory. The workmanship is not great and customer service needs a ton of work. As a millennial I can appreciate Lennar moving towards a “one stop shop” approach, as that did make things simpler in the home buying process. However, there a still lot of areas that need work for a streamlined process to succeed and Lennar does not have that. For that reason I have not and will not recommend them as a builder. I would not trust them with another new build in the future.

The material is very cheap, the work was done quickly and is falling apart. They take so long to fix the stuff they have messed up on. I would pay abit more next time and get a better builder.
