Must be more polite and professional

Initial times Lennar Sales person and Lennar Mortgage were very polite and professional. But later both of them were pressurizing to close the Home buying even though many of the activities are pending and some of the closure credit was changed at the last minute.

Lennar has a solid but average process and quality. I have purchased a few homes in the last few years and they don't do anything to set themselves apart and have some questionable procedures that really need to be updated.

We purchased our current home from California. It was a fairly smooth process and going through the financial was great. We had a great sales person. However, the quality of home was not what we expected. I would say for the most part, the tile setters were the worst. I have never seen tile layed so poorly with very uneven lines in the grout. The grout was messed up; different colors everywhere. Kind of embarrassing when I have somebody come to my house. I felt like I was looking at floors that were installed by people that had done it for the first time. Everything was very dirty ...

Lennar poor workmanship standards that sub contract do miss poor work

I always liked Lennar, but I see now the poor workmanship that we as new owner have to go through because the sub contractor get away with poor work standards. I have to submit warranty work for basic construction work example kitchen cabinets not leveled properly, rain gutters pitch towards the house and not to the down spout, paint on window frames and screens. MY BRAND NEW TUB big chunk missing and scratches because the subcontractors had cement all over the tub during construction with no protection. FYI I can only pray they taped all of the joints especially in the showers corners.. ...

I have very good experience with Jon and my loan officer (Christian) and his team. But on my backyard the drainage (landscape) is really bad. I report for lennar home care last month 03/10/2023 and they told me the builder will fix the landscape. It's over a month now and a lot of water on my backyard. There is rain last Wednesday after 6 days still a lot of water.

Buying new home from Lennar

Buying a from Lennar was a challenge. This was our first new purchase and my expectations at the beginning were not met. Once we got our new production manager things went smoother. You need to be diligent about checking in and if you not in the area ask for pictures weekly. Overall it wasn’t terrible but I don’t think I would ever buy a newly built home.

Moving to San Antonio from Chicago and thought this is going to be my forever home but for some reasons it’s taking longer than expected to fix little things in the new built home, trying to have fixed before I move in and still no improvements of the requested repairs (sad face)

Construction Quality, Workmanship Could be Much Better

Altogether the home is decent, but the workmanship was shoddy in places, with some carelessness, sloppiness, or not paying attention to details. And many issues that needed fixing that we pointed out even before closing still have not been fixed more than a month and a half later. The included appliances, cabinets, and flooring seem to be the cheapest Lennar could find. Some aspects of the design of the home were not thought out well, with shower heads and bathroom cabinets being too high, and the garage too small and driveway too narrow - I can barely fit my car in the garage. What's the ...

the floors in this home are so hard that have been in excruciating pain since moving in and I consider this house unlivable! if I could trade it in I would it. I cannot recommend anyone buy a home from lennar if this is the type of flooring that will be in your home. the pain I am in out weighs any good. I will say that responsiveness has been quick but no avail. The overall home buying experience besides a few delays was pretty good the salesperson James was very helpful and patient, and I felt Diana who did the walk through was trustworthy, but again, the flooring is so awful I would have ...

Day 2 after move in revealed a major plumbing issue. I give credit to the response time here. It was addressed the next day.. but they had to tear the front porch concrete and brick up to fix the problem. It was repaved and bricked, but a few footprints were left imprinted in it and the new beams that sit on the porch still have the plastic wrap on them. We've contacted the appropriate people to fix these things but it's been 3 weeks and I'm not sure they will.

Still waiting for things to be fixed under warranty because Lennar wanted to close and so many issues that needed to be fixed. If things were fixed correctly and in a timely manner, I would have given better marks. My advice for future owners would be to make sure the house is up to your standards. Make sure its clean. Things that need to be fixed, get them fixed before closing because they are slow at responding to your concerns after you close. It wasn’t a terrible experience but once you close, you are an afterthought.

The idea behind the new Reverie community was well thought out and achieved the goal the design team planned. The build quality is poor as there is not a straight wall in the home. For the dollar to delivered value Lennar was the real winner not the home buyer. Not really sure if it is even possible to purchase less quality materials. An excellent example is the guest bathroom shower stall and tub, a cheap fiberglass job with multiple fractures in the material. If I said you could see daylight from all corners of the front door would you believe me. The real challenge Lennar had with this ...

The builders are absolutely horrible when it comes to cleaning the cleaning the areas of the homes they are currently building, they do not block off the areas where sod hasn't been placed so when it rains, we have a continuous mud slide along with settled mud in front of our new home and on our block. It's lazy workmanship not to leave those areas in a position where homeowner have to shovel mud and clean up excessive amounts of trash. This is far beyond a small issue, when my car slides on the mud because it is so thick. It makes it that much worse when we are told they only clean the ...

We like the layout, room size, fireplace and lighting. We are very disappointed in the windows and sliding door. They leak air badly when wind is over 15 mph. This was particularly bad with the recent winter storm with winds up to 40 mph and blowing snow. We actually had a snowdrift on the inside windowsill at one window. Our furnace ran continuously for 3 days because of the cold air blowing into our house. This is unacceptable. We have Cambria quartz countertops in our our Florida condo and in our previous home. It had a beautiful glossy finish. The countertops in our new home have a dull ...

We purchased our first home with Lennar and our sales agent Cathy was awesome! We love our home and the builder's responsiveness has been great. However, the quality of the materials is not the best. The workers mishandled a lot of the materials used and went to extreme lengths to hide the damage, but as I started cleaning, it became visible that these items should have been replaced.

This review is like A Tale of Two Cities. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The sales, purchasing, financing, closing and everything else that dealt this the finance/management/updates was fantastic. Everything to do with the construction, construction management, and resolving issues on site was absolutely horrible. The craftsmanship was horrible. It feels like the home was put together over a weekend. The flooring, cabinetry, dry wall, and painting were all done in such a rush and there are still countless issues that still haven't been resolved. Appliances weren't ...
