After the initial experience with sales person we were very disappointed. Our sales person was the most difficult person to cheat response back from. Mortage , Scott, was awesome. He helped more than sales person. The home inspection and walk through a were acceptable.

The buying experience and workmanship wasn’t so great however, Victor has been there every step of the way when responding to issues. He’s very professional, knowledgeable, and listens to what you are saying. Great communicator and fantastic to work with.

The agent that sold me the home was great. Every one involved was great. The issues I have had with the house are things like no towel racks in bathrooms, no faucet out back, no knobs or pulls on cabinet drawers and doors, no doorbell and the yard is very uneven. I realize the sod is new but I had new sod in my last home but it was flat. I am 78 with walking issues and have has a couple falls just walking outside.

Our Lennar sales person Ashley was wonderful; without her we would not have purchased our house. The superintendent that provided the walk through was great. Every part of the process went well until we had to deal with Lennar Title. With Title we had little to no communication from anyone. Because of Title we closed escrow 4 days late, losing the only weekend we had to move and forcing us to rent storage and lose time from work. And the reason we “only” closed 4 days late was because Ashley went to bat for us and got our paperwork moved to the top of the pile. The whole situation was ridiculous! It was a shame because up until the close of escrow, the whole home buying process had been smooth and easy. After escrow closed and we moved in, we discovered some hidden design issues. To be clear, it appears the home was built per specs, but just FYI: these homes are built with interior wall studs at 19” on center, and the ceiling joists are 2x4s. My first impression/house orientation was very bad, the house was not clean at all. After complaining, didn’t get extra chance before final orientation. The house was 90% satisfied in final orientation, still had issues which was resolved later. Paid home insurance myself, informed while signing the paperwork , get a promise for refund however they deduct $200 giving some excuses as mortgage money is shortened by $200. The address issue is the worst part, wrong address was submitted to USPS which was later on corrected however the correct address is still not updated ( complained multiple times) at many places like Peco and many banks. They are not able to find my correct address and i have to struggle to get the address corrected at each and every such institution. This is so frustrating and time consuming. They have provided a kitchen exhaust which supposed to throw the hot air and kitchen oil outside however that is not working even after complaint and my fire alarm triggered multiple times due to the alarm getting hot air from the kitchen. ... Overall buying experience was good when it came to the lending and sales departments. The house had several issues that were not identified during the final walk through because they could not be used at that time. The internet cable was not connected and had to be fixed by the internet company. The Ring doorbell / keypad did not work and had to be replaced. The downstairs toilet did not function correctly. Overall this was not a move in ready house as advertised and I am disappointed with the overall experience.

Mortgage processing- mortgage officer and underwriter were not on the same page and didn’t respond in timely manner. I asked to put down 5% but they had my closing paperwork with 10% down payment. Closing was postponed and then i was super rushed. After closing was postponed, I told Lennar that i have to be out house i sold by certain date but they still scheduled my closing on the same date i had to be out of my previous home. I had to literally pack, close, and move on the same day.

The mortgage process is long and CUMBERSOME, Over bearing and exceeds info needed for a mtge. bad process.

Watch home inspection videos online, hire a professional and then go over every detail. New builds seem to have a lot of issues whether small or big.

All was very good except : The closing process was very disorganized they didn’t show up and many items were not completed. However after finally closing everything was rectified in a timely manner!!!

My biggest problem is with the shifting of closing costs to the buyer. As a real estate attorney in Illinois I am not used to everything being shifted to the buyer and so many "made up" costs like the builders' fee. Isn't the builders fee the price of the house?

Great style, layout, location, and overall value for the purchase price. Home buying experience was not so great. New home celebration was hours of QCing the contractor work and we found so many deficiencies which got corrected for the most part befote moving in. Mortgage process was not so great, either. We ended up leaving the buyer agent's contribution on the table due to lack of attention to detail by the loan officer.

We looked at two model homes and fell in love with the Sage. However, when we did our walk through on new home, things had changed. Exterior color scheme, window and door layout and kitchen counters were not the same. All along we believed were getting what we saw. Had several discussions about some of these things but in the end we were told we are a production builder not custom. Understood, but communication via the initial salesman was a bit sketchy. We will repaint the garage and front doors to match the model.(got green, wanted brown) Being a couple states away during construction, had my son in law take pictures of the framing phase. Found several split 2x4s that I had to have fixed, twice, on load bearing wall. Got some push back from aforementioned salesman but got them replaced before the next phase. Beyond that, we do love the home. Once the house closed and we did our final walk through our experience with project manager Eric was incredible. It was obvious he cared about our satisfaction. Actually sent workers back to repair some cosmetic flaws in a bathroom sink after we signed off. In the end my advice would be to stay on top of the details. ... More

The home buying process with Lennar is great and seamless. We chose to go with Lennar Mortgage and that made it even more smooth. If you are building with Lennar you need to be prepared, there is no grey area and VERY limited choices. The quality of material continually went down as we went through the process of picking a lot and building. We went from you have several choices of cabinet to you get white. Our pocket door is unusually small and the powder room sink isn't even big enough to hold soap for guests. These are the details, they have forgotten about. If someone gave thought to how a person lives in a house, this would be an amazing builder. Floor plan options, communication, resolution of issues are all A+ with Lennar. ... More

I am enjoying my Lennar home and community! I'm definitely pleased with my choice. The workmanship was good overall and you definitely get the bang for your buck. However, the sales office & communication needs improvement. I was given misinformation about my final figures, and my agent chose to make it right out of her commission. My sales agent was less responsive once I signed the contract, and there was definitely little communication within our new community about issues related to development. My experience purchasing a Lennar home was, just okay. Not great, but not terrible. I would recommend buying a Lennar home, as they're built well and often are marked down quite a bit (they initially start higher than most for this reason though). The fact that they negotiated pricing and incrntives was great! I would just suggest being on top of things yourself, as your new home buyer info regarding your property maintenance etc. is not provided to you in a handy binder (like I've experienced with other builders) but is all located on your online portal. Lastly, they should be calling new home owners 15 days into closing escrow to follow up regarding any concerns on the property (they say they'll do this) be aware that you may need to reach out to them (as I did, never recieved a follow up as they mentioned). My overall experience in dealing with a thenar was OK. The app was not a joy at all. I would rate it or two out of five. Though the people I talk to in the office were prompt, courteous, and professional, which helped me deal with the whole app situation. Again, I wish I was made aware of the fact that in the townhomes you have investors who will be renting out properties. My experience in the past has been that investors are poor landlords, and the property values for surrounding properties are dragged down and the transient people that move in and out don’t care about the property in the property start to look shabby, which affects my home and it’s value. ... LOVE: 1. The floor plan and size 2. The screened porch 3. The absence of a garden tub in the master 4. The bench in the master bath shower 5. The linen closet in the master bath 6. The size of all the rooms, very spacious 7. The loft/flex space on the second floor 8. The layout of the neighborhood, plenty of distance from neighbors 9. The walking trails are wonderful 10. The tray ceiling in the master bedroom Do not love: 1. No peephole on front door or other way to see who is at the front door, forcing me to use Ring, which I despise and don’t want to pay for. 2. Finishes and fixtures look and feel cheap and flimsy 3. Having to install my own blinds has been a much bigger headache and expense than anticipated. I asked for blinds before purchasing and was told no. 4. I really hate the glass door to the screened porch. It makes me feel very unsafe and I wish I could have chosen a different door. Replacing it has been expensive and difficult. 5. Unclear communication about warranties. 6. No hand towel racks installed in the second floor bathrooms. Not expensive or difficult to install myself but feels cheap to have omitted them. Overall, I don’t know if I would have bought the house knowing what I know now. It was the best option for the price at the time. I really like the house overall, but the fixtures/finishes, back door, blinds, and Ring (and not having options) are reasons I would not recommend Lennar. ... More

The whole team was quite attentive minus the Lennar Sales Concierge, calls or emails were almost ever returned. I was unsure what this role entailed as there was no assistance in that matter. The lender side was extremely responsive and attentive, quick as well.

Alan, Lennar seller / builder help out a lot in this process. Really want to point this out.

This is my second Lennar purchase. The actual home buying experience was Rocki, and there was turnover in the personnel that I worked with that complicated the situation. Ultimately, we were able to resolve all of the hiccups and closed. The folks at Lennar Title were very pleasant and responsive. The Lennar mortgage team was more hit and miss. I did not feel that the homebuyer orientation covered everything that it should have, but I’m happily settling in. And generally pleased with the purchase.

All in all our experience was not too bad was very disappointed that the sales person did not tell us of another property same model that was available because she didn’t think we’d want to be on a corner lot. I only found out because I looked at the on line map on the availability and noticed that there was a corner unit available for less than what we were going to pay!

We really didn't feel like Lennar cared about our needs during the closing process. It was all about the close on the date they chose. No flexibility at all.

Loved so many things about my Lennar home, except the appliances picked, poor quality, the back covered porch was a bad choice on lennars part, it makes the beautiful home look cheap.

Be sure to check all the boxes in order to make sure you have everything in order. They are very thorough
