Home buying experience was nice

After 8 years of apartment living...and with the uncertainty of future rent costs, we decided to see what was available in our price range. We found exactly what we needed on our first visit to Mirada. 36 days later, we moved in to our spacious, no outside maintenance home. Thanks for helping us secure our future.

The staff at Lennard was very nice and professional and it made the home buying experience pleasant. They also have been very responsive to any questions/issues I had with the home. What about the home itself? I would give Lennard A++ for the quality build of the home. Their construction crew did a great job. That said I REALLY wish Lennard would have included some basic things with the home which they didn't. Things like a garage opener (which I had to have a private garage door company install for $475), pouring the concrete for a patio in the back of the house. Even a modest patio of 5' x 7' would have been very helpful. A wash basin in the garage would have also been a nice addition that should come standard. And there is only ONE hose bib on the outside of the home. ... More

I have to admit I was not looking to buy new construction after all the horror stories I had heard and read about. However, the deal on the Lennar home I ended up purchasing was too good to pass up. I believe the workmanship and choice of materials has been better than expected. Of course, nothing is perfect and there have been a few very minor issues so far but the response from the warranty team has been excellent. Fingers crossed that as time goes on, there are no hidden problems that reveal themselves, but so far, so good!

It was a very easy process with the Lennar Mortgage Team. They were very helpful and attentive to my questions or concerns. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.

My loan office was top of the line. He did all he could to make sure everything went well. Not too fond of tile because the person I dealt with was very slow to respond to queries. The house is beautiful. Only thing I would change is the quality of the interior walls. The walls are literally paper. You can’t even use a wet rag to wipe it. It will fall apart.

Overall home buying experience has been great with our sales agent for Lennar Cortona, post purchase support for our warranty requests were promptly addressed. Can improve the service responses on the in house lender of Lennar Mortgage

We had been searching for years to buy a home, and struggled. We struggled one with the lack of supply, and the supply being usually quite old, or having to move to Tracy and being too far from work. We appreciated that with Lennar you pay some market rate price and you take it or leave it: no getting outbid by 10% or by a cash offer. You give up some ability to customize anything: you take what they give you. But from what we can tell, it is not only beautiful, new, but also well made. We ended up changing out the carpet for hard floors, and it’s even better now, and this experience has made us appreciate the workmanship of the parts that we didn’t modify. The buying process was quick and easy

Closing team was responsive to questions and challenges. Settlement was long with more paperwork than expected. In spite of the volume, it went quickly. Could have been better had location been equipped with snacks and/or drinks. Maybe even something celebratory. Repairs and deficiencies are managed through a website - not sure how I feel about the presumption everyone wants to work on/with computers versus people.

We had a great experience. Ms. Mary made everything so easy for us. We had looked at so many houses until I was a confused, undecided yet excited train wreck. Mary is so kind and professional, she calmed my spirit and made the entire process easy. She is one of the kindest people I've ever met. We absolutely love our new home

The sales people are very nice and helpful. They walked me thru the whole process and support me. The house is beautiful and we really love it. I’m really glad I was able to get it!

This is our first home here in SWFL and Lennar stood out as the builder who offered the most bang for the buck. There are a few things with our home that we do not like since we have lived in it for over two months now and that is the windows are complete garbage. Glass has bubbles in it and the panes are as thin or possibly thinner than a photo frame from a store. You would think a home in a coastal community would be required to have impact glass and better-quality windows but here we sit. I am pretty sure these windows will be destroyed even with the hurricane shutters up. Our electrician must have been having a bad day also because we have switches for our ceiling fan rough ins that do not work and basically control nothing. We have numerous plugs and switches that do not work or do not control anything. I am working on a warranty ticket as we speak so as long as we get that all squared away, then we will be better off. All and all the home is great. Our construction team was really detail oriented and overall (other than the windows) the home seems pretty solid. Future buyers: ask to upgrade the windows and keep an eye on the electrical work... ... More

Overall process was very seamless. We closed within 30 days and the team was great in getting all our questions answered and issues resolved. We are very happy with our purchase.

Having a problem because Lennar's criteria for room temps for a two story is not good. I thought heat rose. Upstairs is cold. Won't move thermostat upstairs for me so it's going to cost me at least $200, plus patching walls. Spent a lit of money for this home I don't think I'm asking to much to be warmer upstairs

The purchase of our new home when smoothly. All of the Lennar agents and staff were very helpful in the entire process. They were professional and knowledgeable in guiding us through the entire house selection and moving in process.
