I caution buyers on purchasing your new build with Lennar. Especially during this hostile market where there is a high demand for homes and a shortage of supplies. My home was handed to me with a load of problems as a result of rushed work, poor quality of workmanship, and materials. To make matters worse, the customer care team has been non responsive to any of the 8 service tickets I’ve submitted. I’m going into my 5th month of living in the house and the amount and nature of the issues in the house are just unacceptable. The worst one of all is the water that leaks in through my master ...

Cheap materials, rushes craftsmanship, last minute downgraded materials with no money refunded, cracks in multiple seems in corners, squeaky floors prior to move in, cracked windows, sprinkle lines installed on neighbors property, sink hole in back yard due to graders "forgetting" hay bell. List goes on and on ask anyone on the FB group made just for this issues.

My wife and I were so excited about moving into our new townhouse in Florida. We were all prepared to turn key and settle in. We were not prepared for what we encountered when we arrived home after closing. Appliances were not installed, counter tops damaged and not cut correctly, cabinet doors installed damaged, trim work on doors cut too short, numerous drywall issues, missing window sills, hot water heater didn’t work, numerous issues with paint, home was not cleaned prior to move, floors were covered in drywall mud, paint and grease. Lennar - The houses are built quickly.

The houses are built quickly. The 8’ wood doors and 10’ ceilings are very nice. The trim is wide with an updated look. The house has lots of quality windows with windowsills. Lennar kitchens are roomy with a big islands and lots of counter space. The downside of Lennar homes is the drywall finishing and painting in certain areas. Quality paint is not used and some areas need repainting.

The customer service from Lennar and the vendors is poor. Waiting for weeks and months for simple fixes and repairs is ridiculous. The follow up from the builder to individual contractors is non existent to very poor. The homes are being closed before they are ready. So many of the issues we and our neighbors have addressed should have been taken care of before closing. We can only hope the the overall quality of the home is good and that we won’t be facing issues for years to come. Also why isn’t the second phase of the amenities completed let alone started. Construction supervisor was impertinent and rude; workers without necessary skills were pulled from other crews to complete work - which was then poorly done. Replacements/substitutions made due to supply chain issues were NOT even close to "equal to or better than the model", as promised.

I am overall so disappointed in my new home and the experience that I had purchasing that, six months in, I am considering selling. I have already had leaks around the toilet because the pedestal sat too high - no one bothered to fix it before I moved in. They had to remove the toilet and the flooring, sand down the large concrete bump in the foundation and replace the flooring and toilet - an easy fix if you do it right the first time. After less than a month of moving in a flood occurred in my home, flooding 2/3 of the interior of my newly built home. The drain lines to the washing machine was not connected. I also experienced another flood in a former LENNAR home I had moved from-a Coach home- After just 3 days a sewage backup breached my master bath. Lennars goal is to close business and there is so much room for improvement. I told my sales guy I could not meet at a certain date since I locked in the house. I never meet with customer service, I was sent another builder supervisor instead. When we spent TWICE time to call out cosmetic things that needed to be repaired, only a very few were taken care of and the rest... well they just peeled off the orange stickers. Most of the paint jobs are leaky and full of paint buggers. Love the location, and the size of the land, but I would need to see lots of improvement before buying another ...

We had lots of issues…during framing we saw missing walls and closets. Holes made in the subfloor as well. After move in, it’s been a constant battle of fixing roof leaks, plumbing leaks, and workmanship issues. We wish we never bought this house.

We thought highly of Lennar and it was our dream to buy a Lennar Home. The process started with great hopes, agents were really nice. But we face lot of disappointments during construction and post construction.
