Awful home buying experience, poor craftsmanship

Avoid Lennar. The house is still a construction zone 5 months after closing and follow up has been terrible. I will never buy another Lennar home.

Spacious Homes at a Competitive Price!

We LOVE our new home. We only have to question Lennar's use of subcontractors -- we think that the interior paint has been watered down and the edging is noticeably sloppy. We went without A/C in one bedroom for over a MONTH because the proper A/C tests were not done. We have some cracks on the exterior stucco but since it's they're not larger than 2 inches, cost to repair will be our responsibility. Sigh...other than these issues, we're quite happy!!

We are enjoying our new home and neighborhood and did have some positive experiences with Lennar. However, since we moved in 3 months ago we have noticed some problems with the workmanship. The paint job was especially sloppy. We also had problems with the Lennar Title Company giving us incorrect information at closing, and they would not respond to our emails requesting assistance concerning this incorrect information. These are some of the reasons that our overall rating is just average.

Need urgently fix the response service and the level of communication with the buyers My house deed documents were send by a normal mail instead of a proper courier company like DHL,FEDEX Which caused documents to get lost , I was never asked whether how or when will the documents be sent , no communication whatsoever , this is just one example of lack of communication with the buyer and there are many more …

Great Community and Beautiful Design of Homes

Great experience from initial property tour until the closing. Colleen and Abby were knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the process. Gino also was very professional and helpful with the financing of our home. Unfortunately, we encountered a lot of loose ends and quality issues with the craftsmanship once we moved in. Danielle has been very responsive and is working very hard in resolving our issues and we appreciate her help. We love our new home!

The fact that they lied to us about our closing delays. We love our house. We love what we chose for our upgrades. The construction process was great, however the paperwork and behind the scenes was completely an unorganized mess. We were lied to about FHA/HUD delays that we had a feeling were lies, and recently found out to be definite lies. So disappointing. Nothing we can do about it now but definitely made me angry!

Annoyed there was no variety in choosing fixtures. Low end appliances. All these houses are going to bring overcrowding and traffic the area. House is okay. Maybe 3 years out of me here.

They make a lot of promises they don’t deliver! It took me 4 months to get our ice maker and dispenser to work after 3 service calls. It finally works. I still have blue tape on 3 of my cupboard that have not been addressed, after several emails and text. They sell your home as a “smart home”. However nothing is set up in your home so you have to do the leg work to make it a smart home that you purchased. Garage floor is bubbling up, painter never returns your text to schedule. Washer has had issues spinning. Waiting for warranty work January 5.

Builder was okay to work with. Lack of organization when it came to my closing date due to not having my CO which caused closing to be moved several times. Because I signed a materials shortage addendum some of the materials did not seem to be of equal value as to what was in the model. Mostly pertaining to the showers in the home. Also did not like my new home orientation advisor who was at my walk throughs. He was rude and argumentative throughout the whole process. The quality of these homes are pretty good. The experience with Lennar Mortgage was a bit difficult, as well as having issues addressed during the building process. There were issues of not getting all of the Everything Included items that were promised by the Sales Office.

BUYER BEWARE!! The Lennar Home staff are liars and will tell you anything they think you need to hear to get you to buy the home. Beginning with sales staff, who sold me a home that didn't have the appropriate finishes and avoids me when I try to call. Next is the closing staff who set a closing date without communicating to the builders, so I had to go to closing twice. Finally the builder who lied about the trees in the backyard and doesn't honor any warranty items. I’ve had nothing but issues since before I moved in 4 months ago. I had a claim for my roof before I even moved in. There was paint on all my floors that they never cleaned until a month ago which was an exception to closing. I have mold in my kitchen that they keep saying is not mold. You wipe it down, it keeps coming back but there is water behind the cabinet where the mold is and they have to replace the cabinet because the back of it has buckled because of water damage because the pipe on the roof was crooked. My house is not like the model home and I have cheap boards up in my shower ...

For +200k the least they could do is add window blinds. Water softener as well but mainly window blinds. Also most homes have two sided sinks to wash and rinse. Nor just one. We still haven't had our AC aligned as promised. Workers getting attitudes with one another about who's in charge. So it took a while to get a part of our home repaired and as stated, AC still doesn't blow to entire part of the house. Ants the first night. Everyone got bit. So many we had to get a hotel and hire someone to come spray. Information giving out EVERYONE. Salea people showing up even at night.

Poor workmanship and false promises

Some delays or changes in material were expected due to pandemic. However, there is clear evidence of laziness and negligence throughout the home. And Lennar's policy seems to be just paint/caulk over it and hope no one notices. Very little effort in lining up trim and moulding, windows installed off center and non-level, bumps forming in vinyl floor due to improper installation, sheetrock bulging/bowing in multiple areas (best they would do to fix it is shave it down and re-texture), exterior mortar all over bricks/driveway because they wouldn't clean up after themselves, paint stains on all ...

Cheap material for the price paid. My stairs has crack from the neighbors garage, another wall has a crack from the other neighbors garage.
