The Community is Wonderful; "Everything Is Included" Not So Much

The Vista Wild Blue community is fantastic. The home structures are very well built. The shortfall is with the "Everything Is Included" promotion--another way to say that is "you have no choices." The appliances and fixtures were functional but cheap and low grade. We have been here four months and already have replaced the washer/dryer, garbage disposal, all light fixtures, most cabinet hardware and all of the window shades that came with the house. We would have upgraded if we could have but no options were offered.

With Lennar, I would expect the quality homes and they are one of the reputed builder in the market. Slowly after moving into my new townhome I started to realize that the quality of material used to build the house could have been much more better. They are building 8 townhomes in timespan of 2 months. I guess they are in rush as the market starts to slow down.

The quality and attention to detail is terrible. It's only been 4 months and a lot of the caulk jobs are coming apart. There's paint drips in the trim and on the doors, the nails under the carpet weren't hammered down and poke through, and we still have a cabinet that's dented and cabinet doors that are bowed and cracked. Many things didn't get fixed because all the construction manager cared about was getting his bonus for our house closing. The warranty person is also impossible to get a hold of whenever something is wrong. Overall, wouldn't recommend or purchase through Lennar again.

I think the workmanship is very poor quality I have had way to many problems to be in a brand new home it’s a nightmare but I can say that everything is being taken care of but if it was built right from start I would not have to be writing about it I came to Lennar for quality and I am disappointed.

Leak in basement in August 2021. Hope to get it fixed by 2022. Also the vent makes a clanking noise. Dishwasher very loud when running. Positive note the salesperson was great and is still very helpful.

If this is your first NEW home don't expect a WOW after settlement, The appliance upgrade is not worth the $$, secure a credit and buy your own. Customer care on a local level is great but they are over whelmed due to lack of supervision on the construction end. Job sites are hazardous and an eyesore.

Our only issues have been with the quality of work by floor contractor. And, the technology contractor which made setting up the internet and door bell an issue. Otherwise the Lennar team from beginning to end were great!

After this experience with Lennar I would not choose this builder again nor recommend it to another person. I love the neighborhood and the area, but the overall quality of my home and the overall experience has been terrible. It all started with the sales person and then to construction. The only easy part was with finance. I have been here since August 2021 and I am still dealing with work tickets on incomplete or damage items within the home. If more time was spent on workmanship of the home then I would definitely not feel this way. The two CCR people have been nice and friendly, but they ...

Sold as luxury but not luxury equipment! Good quality but not luxury. Large retails style equipment. Luxury but no hand shower, just one head. Not too much thinking from architects. TV outlets are not enough or wrongly located sometimes (too close to the large AC stand alone and so many things in the wall right where we hand the tv that it’s difficult to screw it). ( Behind the bed). Lot of things not working right at turn over or discovered later but great response from the team in charge. Only problem is to be there for all the adjustments : painting, craftwork, electrical, electronics, ...

Make sure you follow through when you receive work orders. This builder does not follow through, warrenties managers give you lots of lip. They don’t care. We still have several items in our 5 month old house not complete and or fixed. So far no one follows through. They don’t care.

Beware! If issues aren't addressed prior to closing, they may never get resolved! We have outdoor faucets that don't function, garage outlets that can't be used, and a front window that was cracked by flying construction site debry that we can't get fixed!!!

Great first home (bc first time homebuyers don't know better). If you're thinking of buying a Lennar home as your 2nd, 3rd or forever home.. forget about it, you will drive yourself crazy noticing all of the shoddy workmanship and fighting with them to get things corrected in a timely fashion. Their lender is not for the faint of heart either, prepare to be bullied into submission and have your queries go unanswered.
