I am so disappointed in the customer service that has been provided to us after closing. I wish I had done my research on Lennar prior to buying a home. I would have never purchased a Lennar home if I knew what I know now. The number of lawsuits, poor reviews, and complaints is just mind blowing to me, but I am experiencing first hand why. We continue to have promises broken by Lennar employees, tickets that are never followed up on, and issues that continue to not get fixed. From signing the purchase agreement to closing, Lennar kept me informed, provided resources (lending, insurance), and addressed my questions quickly. After closing, we find our new home to be of sound construction, have very good quality appliances, and include beneficial "everything's-included" features. For any issues, Lennar is quick to respond and resolve.

The individuals we worked with were great, but the quality of some of the materials for the price paid were below expectations. Since most of this was done through subcontractors, and given the region we live in, it is understandable that this was the case. This can be very subjective though given our move from a well priced area of the country to the PNW that is heavily overpriced for, in my opinion, no real good reason.

Lennar overcame a rough supply chain situation to deliver

We bought our house when supply chain problems were getting really bad across the U.S. We put our earnest money down in late February 2021 and closed in the end of June despite having the big Texas freeze in the interim and dealing with labor and supply shortages affecting everyone. It is now November and one of the other builders who charges a lot more money still doesn't have their houses done on this street. Lennar got it done within the time frame they said they would. Lennar makes a beautiful home. I just wish i could enjoy it without the constant stress of things going wrong. From multiple leaks and cheap paint, to defective AC causing heat and high humidity. Uneven flooring, broken cabinets, half completed yard, plumbing was FULL of garbage that overflowed and flooded the first floor. The initial rep basically brushes things off and we had to call repeatedly to get things fixed. He was replaced and the new rep is far better. Now they fix things a lot faster but i just don't understand why there are so many things that need fixing in a new home. ...

Loan officer wasn’t as thorough as I would have liked with answering questions and explaining things. I feel like it was assumed I knew and understood things as they were stated. The construction workers were gross. They left trash in the kitchen island after the quartz countertop had been installed. Beer cans were in cabinets when I went to look at the house prior to closing. Construction workers should be more professional and not drinking on the job especially when it comes to crafting the largest expense of most people’s lives.

Overall the home buying experience is good it's once you move in when it gets a bit tricky. Lots of finger pointing when things done get done and financial misinformation was given prior to the close. The companies chosen to do work, like lawn maintenance are not customer service friendly and there is no little to no communication from our point of contact with the HOA.

I applied and paid for the upgraded kitchen. This was supposed to come with Electrolux appliances but instead, I got Frigidaire appliances without consulting me first before making the switch. Already, the refrigerator isn't cooling just almost 4months of usage. The heating/cooling system is not functioning properly. In the summer, the cooling system was not cooling on the third floor. I called the HVAC company as was advised by the sales agent and an appointment was set up for 29th of October. Overall a very good experience. Our one critique would be that there seems to be a lot shuffling around. We would turn in paperwork or information to one person and then another person from a different section would ask for the same thing. A lot of duplicate steps in the whole process. It would feel more comforting if we had one person handling our case from start to finish. A few times we were worried it wouldn’t happen because all the different people involved didn’t seem to have our information and we would miss our closing deadline.
