Poor experience with receiving keys difficult process

When I closed on home I took a while to pick up the keys. Explained I had to go somewhere 20 miles away to pick up the keys. Also the person said someone might rob and break in my new home which scared me because now I feel unsafe in my new home

issue #1 Day of closing plan was not discussed or no one contacted us cause they had wrong number in system despite 10 emails to correct in systems, also not only that they just put that on saying we were late take key from here and have fun.. Issue #2 came to find out mold pre exits issue and they did handle well to resolve all though time we loose did not got reimburse cause they fixed it in timely manner how that make sense when you are buying brand new home and have to deal with this all

I Will Never Purchase a Lennar Home Again.

Upon moving in, they left windows open that we could not reach or see, which led to water damage, the workmanship on the construction is horrible, even to the naked eye. There are issues with stairs that don’t align, finishings that don’t align, paint on floor and carpet, and many other workmanship issues. When asked to fix prior to moving in, they declined to do it and said it is what it is, and made up lame excuses. Be very careful when dealing with Lennar. Get everything in writing, do not believe verbal promises and fast talking "construction managers" who disappear once you have signed any document. When following up on pending items, they simply ignore you, better yet, tell you "that's cosmetic", or to make a warranty claim. However, warranty companies do not fix/repair things that the builder should have completed as promised. The entire process has been a headache purchasing this home. Issues that arose with my inspector were not properly fixed before closing and is still something I am fighting Lennar with. They are quick to respond to issues but then “complete” them in the portal when it truly has not been fixed. I’m spending close to half a million dollars on this home and I’m getting work that is worse than my 250k DR Horton home. It was very stressful. They approved me for a loan. I payed 30% down payment and after that they told me that I am not approved and I needed to pay off my car. That was not the plan in first place. I had to spend all my money before I made this big purchase. I don’t want to see any email from Lennar ever again.

Lennar mortgage was misleading during the application process, the home is built with poor quality, items were stolen out of the home after under contract to buy, lennar mortgage closing agent did not provide the original mortgage note or security instrument for my records. They also got an advance on my security instrument for the full maturity amount and are now trying to hide the money they received from the Federal Reserve bank while still charging me monthly payments. Very disappointed with the construction manager and their staff for failing to remove debris before the recent hurricane (Milton) hit the area. I would’ve most certainly went with another lender if could redo our first home buying experience. Bad experience from start to finish with one positive experience in the middle. We have a Facebook group that’s specifically associated with our new Lennar online community and to be honest within this review, it’s been mostly shared experiences of mentally exhausted new home owners.

Where to start? Immediate leak from upstairs kids bathroom the first time one of them took a shower. Leaked down into the bottom floor soaking insulation. We are beyond sad for agreeing to go ahead with a Lennar home. Feels like we got a lemon though it was a "brand new home". Almost nothing working, plumbing is substandard with leaks all over the place. Electric quality is so crappy that they switched the wiring. Just crazy, never heard of anything like this. Though the cake as it were must be taken by the sales team - pushy and lies are their only two tools.

While the community is attractive, the builder takes 1000% of the enjoyment of owning a new home away from the buyer. From omitted items which are in the contract, to shoddy construction, to deceptively low HOA fees, Lennar is the champion of bait and switch.

Every aspect of buying a Lennar home was met with a challenge, and even once moved in, there are still issues and challenges.
