The sales experience and closing was a very positive. I received construction progress updates on a regular bases. We closed a week earlier than originally planned. Lennar has been very responsive with repair requests. The only concern I have is the quality of the closet doors. There have been multiple issues with them which have been addressed but my concern is long term durability of the closet doors.

The home-buying experience was a pleasurable one with Lennar. This is my 5th home I have purchased so I have seen the good and bad. This was one of the good ones! The only thing I will say that disappointed us was the new home welcome walkthrough we were told we would have. We set the date for it and arrived and it was a standard home inspection and not the celebration-style walkthrough we were told it would be. We even brought our family along to celebrate with us. Outside of that one event ,everything else was above standard.

i would like more ethernet plugs in the rooms some have none for items that react better than wifi connection also the back yards could have some attention rather than just dirt or at lease tamp and compact it add better quality appliances and thermostats ecobee or nest

Our construction Manager, Macki is amazing! Everything else has been so-so... We have had a normal amount of "new construction" issues and our construction manager is always on top of it and doing everything she can to get it fixed but the folks that are "fixing" the issue are not really fixing the issue, just trying to cover up. It is extremely frustrating. There are a lot of things that could look way better if they were just fixed correctly the first time. The buying side was good, but the mortgage and title side of things had their own issues, not paying my insurance right away and getting told my insurance would drop me. I would never recommend buying a home from Lennar. It was a nightmare from start to finish and still is to this day. The process took 3 agonizing months to close because their mortgage team had issues with us not being married or FL residents yet. Then we found a ton of things wrong with OUR BRAND NEW HOME. They made us do a new home introduction 1.5 months before we closed and then a month after we closed when we finally got to move in, we found a whole list of things that made our 800K home feel like a foreclosure home. I cannot take a bath in our tub because they have so much crap caked on the bottom of it from painting and whatever else they used, our appliances are rusting very bad, our floors are uneven and the furniture rocks back and forth. Poor quality and they rip you off on price. The home next to us (a townhome as well) sold for 300K less than we paid and they have more sq footage. I could go on and on but it’s not worth my time anymore to deal with them. My parents were going to buy a home as well and after our experience I told them to never buy a Lennar home. Thanks but no thanks Lennar. You couldn’t even send us our Key fobs. We had to drive an hr and back to pick them up. Real classy ... More

Our Lennar Realtor Rep. Richard was fantastic. So glad we got him. He was super knowledgeable, very supportive through the process, and even after the sale. You need to keep a very close eye on details at the walk thru and after. The workmanship in general was good. Mostly just cosmetic flaws to fix. However, there were additional items we found after moving in and a few from the walk through punch list that were not fixed. Take your time and thoroughly review inside and out. Matthew was our warranty rep after we moved in and he was super supportive with great communication. When we did the walk thru we were told with the one year warranty on the home we had one year to collect cosmetic defects we saw and to consolidate them before submitting so they didn’t have to come out for multiple items. Matthew was good to clarify that this was incorrect. You have a 1 year warranty on most issues but for cosmetic defects from construction it’s only 30 days. He was very good at walking through everything that is covered and not covered in the warranty and how to submit them. He responded to each and every warranty claim I submitted both on the system and to me personally. He also communicated with the subcontractors responsible for fixing the items and back to me regarding appointments when needed. I received calls from the subcontractors on the SAME day I submitted issues to schedule appointments for repair! My only three complaints I have thus far. (1) The inflexibility of Lennar to change anything from their boiler plate designs. The door for the Water Closet in the Master Bath is a terrible design. You have to literally step in and get on the other side of the toilet to shut the door. I was told they will not alter anything when we noticed this in the model home before signing the contract. It should have been a pocket door to make it functional but know these cost more than a standard door. I would have paid extra because it’s terrible design. They should change this design. (2) The shower heads are junk. Very weak water pressure that had me worried it was the system. However, I replaced it with a $25 Delta shower heads and it was perfect, so I replaced both. For what you pay for a house I think Lennar could spend a few extra dollars to give Customers a better experience. (3) The faucets in the bathrooms are way too far back from the sink edge, the spigot end too close to the rear sink edge. You have to put your hands way down into the sink or water splashes all over the back counter top of the sink. I will be replacing these eventually with faucets that have a spigot with a longer reach. The sinks in the bathrooms are nice. Richard and Matthew were the shining stars with Lennar to us!! ... More

My experience with Lennar mortgage company was great. But I wish I had the opportunity to make some changes especially in the bathroom, I would have chosen different titles. It’s a beautiful home. I just wish I had a chance to add my own personal touch. I would recommend Lennar mortgage company to friends and family.

We are not new to the home-buying rodeo, in fact, this was the 4th home we have bought since 1985 and by far, buying with Lennar was the best experience we have had with any other builder, or at any price-point. When we approached the Lennar home rep we already had 2 other builders about to work with us, but Lennar beat them both by calling us on our way back home while I was driving to get us prequalified, what a pleasant surprise! It was close to 11pm and the Lennar rep stayed with us all the way until he got us qualified! We also had a firm deadline to move out of our previous home, and Lennar magically got us approved AND closed in less than two weeks, I am sure no other builder would have done that. Every single Lennar employee who assisted us on this journey was immensely helpful and professional, and somehow they were able to offer us better pricing than the original quote, and in record time. I’m happy with my house

I’m sad to say that Lennar’s business model has changed and not for the better. We had a new build Lennar home in California years ago and was a more than pleasant experience. The quality of workmanship during building is poor. Seems to be an industry standard these days throughout the industry. Just A few examples include while on our final walkthrough, nearly all cabinet doors when opened hit the wall, other cabinets,refrigerator, etc.. I brought it to the attention of the construction team, and was told “ that’s on the homeowner”. There are tons and I mean tons of paint problems on doors and walls. Paint drips on doors, too little, or quality. Refrigerator door will not open all the way as the appliance space is too small. It feels as if it’s a “let’s throw up the house” and close the home, and deal with warranty issues after the fact type of model. The first day here, sewage came up in the shower. They called out a plumbing company and he couldn’t fix it. The city had to come out and make the repair. Apparently “the construction people used the sewer line as a garbage can”. Too bad the city had to correct the issue. I could go on for days. I’m so disappointed that Lennar has changed its model. One positive is they have sent out contractors in a timely manner. ... More

The workmanship and attention to detail is subpar to say the least. Drywall 2-3” short of the floor, hidden by the base boards/warped plywood underneath the carpet/everything painted over from the floor to returns to windows and doorknobs. Little to no insulation in the attic after being sworn to that it met standards. I could go on but you get the point. Pretty embarrassing to turnover a home like that.

Overall great experience. The consultants were awesome. But as far as workmanship, fast and sloppy not quality materials used. They don’t even come with ceiling fans anymore.

The home buying experience I had with Lennar was just horrible. It seems like all they care about was me closing as soon as possible. The workmanship for this 340,000 house is so horrible. I am still dealing with issues to this day. I have paint and texture all over my light fixtures, flooring issues, spray paint on my floor. The biggest thing that was so bad was the communication. I have spoken to managers , directors and rude consiglieri’s and it was as if the right had no idea what the left hand was doing. if I had know certain things like the HOA mandatory internet and other things I would NOT have purchased this home. I did believe Lennar to be a great home building company given they are one of the largest in the country, but now I am selling this home as soon as I can. Overall pleased with the experience and closing on time, actually a week early. Believe we have excellent value for our purchase price even though our buy was near peak of market. Lennar construction rep, Dalton, was great in showing us use of home and maintenance rewuirements at closing. Only down side has been A) a few quality/workmanship issues which they have begun fixing buy ideally should have been corrected before closing, and B) many of the amenities that were supposed to be open prior to Christmas are still a couple months away.

I’m so excited that I bought the new house at the McLeod community area. From the beginning to the end, it was flawless process from the loan officer to the closing. I haven’t seen anything change from the commitment standpoint since I bought the home. I’m very happy with the community and the people who live there.

My house took 2.5 months longer than anticipated and ultimately closing required me to accept MAJOR flaws in the home. I received threats from Lennar agents pushing me to close, an unwillingness to remedy major concerns like the crooked ceiling/walls/doors/windows. Once I closed, it took two weeks or more, to have sod laid. I asked if there were options available as I am HIGHLY allergic to Bermuda grass - I explained it makes me break out in fully body hives. They ignored me and laid Bermuda sod anyways. In addition, I was left a pile of dirt by the front door upon getting my keys, the whole house had disgustingly dirty floors, there is paint on the carpet in every bedroom (from paint touch ups), and when they laid sod, they left my driveway and street a disaster. I came home from a work trip to mud all over my driveway and street! I honestly do not have anything nice to say about the experience. I would never recommend this builder to anyone. Lennar offers home insurance as well and I had the WORST experience trying to get a quote explained from their insurance rep, Dana. She was extremely RUDE and obstinate and certainly not the kind of person I would ever want to do business with if I had an insurance claim. I reached out and waited over 6 weeks, I never got a call back or email back. When the loan officer’s office reached out to her on my behalf she was beyond rude and I vowed I would not use their insurance company no matter what at that point. There is a lack of communication between the construction crew and the loan officers. Several times I felt extremely stressed out as the loan officers were insisting we were closing and asking me to wire funds ahead of time while the house was no where near done. There are several other home builders in the area and I would hope you have a better experience with one of the others. ... More

Too many issues upon delivery of the home. Good bones but finishing touches and appliances are subpar. The response from some members of the customer care team is timely. The service to correct the issues can, at times, take a few days.

Overall buying experience was good. The quality of appliances were not great and Lennar should provide better quality and long lasting appliances. Lennar Mortgage experience wasn't great. Need to improve on overall experience.

If you are buying a Lennar home, please be aware that the quality of craftsmanship is very low especially with drywall. Get a home inspection completed. Also be VERY detail oriented during your walkthroughs. Take pictures of where the blue tape is so you can check if issues were corrected. Check drywall in corners, under cabinets, in closets, at baseboards, etc. We moved in on Dec 15, 2024 and have had several issues so far (multiple scratches/dents in flooring, our living room closet door fell off the door frame-screws fell out when the door was open, carpeting needed to be stretched to fit properly at a transition into the laundry room). Lennar so far has been responsive and have corrected small issues. We were instructed to put in a warranty request for the multiple areas of bad drywall (not due to settling, just poorly done) for the 60 day service which we will see how that is handled. While we like the overall floor plan and structure of our house, we are very disappointed with the quality and need to have pretty much every wall in the home repaired, considering the price point. It seems like every 30 seconds you are getting a msg or someone is Texting you about some phase of insurance, settlement, HOA, mortgage or some other phase of buying....respond to one and get double back without really knowing who or where they fit in the scheme. Last walk thru is a real joy also....moves way toooooo fast

Our overall experience has been very good. The staff is responsive and helpful. Our construction manager is beyond excellent. We realize that Lennar is not a custom builder. However there are a few items that should be offered as an option. The appliances are not reflective of the quality reputation the builder continues to enjoy. We would recommend Lennar to anyone looking to buy a new home.
