I have had some issues that really bothered me and Im generally pretty easily please. Overall it was a ok experience but there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to communication in the closing process.

Jackie is great! He manages the building of the homes. Very good at responding. They will push you to close quickly, as I believe “bonus” dollars are involved on the quick close. The actual realtor for Lennar wasn’t too good at responding to our questions.

Would use again! Great experience from start to finish and a one stop shop .

Great home with quality materials, the offering from sales team was great and helped me a lot.

They made everything clear at every step. We asked a lot of questions, directed at the agent and the project manager and the mortgage team. Everything was answered promptly and has been found to be accurate. Overall, we had a great experience with this home purchase (this was my third new home and seventh overall).

I like the home, but we were bad informed by sales department, if we knew the up coming development we might wait a couple months to select the location we preferred, we asked about those future homes, and we were told no development was in the near future, but just a month in the home and the whole site is developed and now we are going to be 30 years desiring to be on a different site, I don’t know if they really didn’t have the information, but that information is critical at the time of making decisions, we even are recommending multiple friends and some of them told us that they were not building more single family homes but now we Have 8 of them being built around us. Good respond fast service too

What a great experience. From initial sale, thanks Karen, to the move in. The build quality is phenomenal. Other builders try to keep you away from the process, Lennar brought us in for a bare bones walk through and even encouraged us to take photos of the framing. They are obviously confident in their quality. The house was completed and the closing done on the exact date promised in the contract. There have been some minor cosmetic items that needed taking care of. So far one phone call has resolved the problems within a day or 2.

Far too much probing with ‘required’ documents for loan approval. This is a monetary transaction and nothing more, the ONLY thing that matters is that the loan can be paid legally. Check my job, check my credit, that’s all that is needed. My education and life story is not your business.

We took advantage of a close out spec home and got a fantastic deal! Were able to purchase from out of state with our sales consultant, Odalis, was incredible in helping us to navigate the whole process by phone!!

Upon moving in, they left windows open that we could not reach or see, which led to water damage, the workmanship on the construction is horrible, even to the naked eye. There are issues with stairs that don’t align, finishings that don’t align, paint on floor and carpet, and many other workmanship issues. When asked to fix prior to moving in, they declined to do it and said it is what it is, and made up lame excuses. With the visible workmanship being as bad as it is, it’s worrisome what can’t be seen. Our grass was also left unattended when the sod was put down, and they never watered it, so we showed up to completely dead grass. After months of demanding it get addressed, they reluctantly finally did. But the sod they put down was poor sod and even watering twice a day, a lot is dead. AC and heat does not work correctly either. On top of those things, we also chose to get our mortgage from Lennar, which has turned out to be a terrible idea and would not do again. They sold our mortgage prior to first payment, and for months now still have not taken the mortgage off of their account, and are demanding us to pay them as well as the company they sold the mortgage to. We declined and they proceeded to send it to credit bureau. And when trying to get them on the phone to discuss, they leave us on waiting for hours, and if we do get someone, gets disconnected and we have to go through hold again. Our concern as well is that they are doing this to us because we are Hispanic. Since the beginning of dealing with them, we have been treated less than and asked absurd questions to even get the mortgage, which we should have just take the red flag and walked away. I truly believe that Lennar is a racist company and that is why we are experiencing what we are experiencing, and that the second they realized they were selling a home to a Hispanic, they chose to not care about workmanship as well. ... It was great experience to buy home with Lennar. I really appreciate the work of salespeople. How fast they interact to sell their products. I especially want to thank Jennifer.

Lennar makes some beautiful homes at a variety of price points which is great. I also like how when you see a model it is (for the most part anyway) "what you see is what you get". The people that we have encountered have been very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of great incentives and flexibility in going from one selected model to another. So there is, indeed, a lot of "good". As with anything, any place, any person, any company, there are also some "concerns". For much, it seems that the build was "whatever the minimum regulation requires we will do" instead of "what is the best we can do". For example, the HVAC. Instead of drawing air from the outside and doing a relatively minimal adjustment at build to create the tubing from the furnace to the outside, it is, instead, drawing air from the inside which has made the house have some significant, significant humidity issues which we the customer had to pay to fix. I am concerned about the leveling of the ground - our front, side and backyards all have craters that seem to be deteiorating even more. Though there is a good of "what you see is what you get", there is also a challenge in that these builders can't make even the slightest changes. If their plans call for a staircase in precisely a certain spot, even if because of the level of the garage v ground and that staircase literally runs between two bays of the garage preventing one from parking two cars in a three-car garage, they won't change and move the staircase over just six inches. So we were faced having to fix this - at our expense. Some builders will let you add electric outlets and pick where you want them; this builder won't. We had to add some outlets - at our expense. The house was not wired for wired-Cable. So there was A LOT of GOOD. There was also some CHALLENGES in only doing the "minimal" when it came to regulation, construction, customer requests, etc. ... very responsive and professional. We had a few minor problems with the house but they were dealt with right away.

Interaction with pre-sale representative was great. The experience went down hill from there. The house was not ready for inspection. Kitchen cabinet doors missing, range hood not installed, scratches on refrigerator. Window screen on the front porch was missing. Lawn care had been neglected and the entire yard was in horrible condition. A third party inspector identified and documented these issues along with others. Informed that it would all the issues would be resolved by the second walk through. Not all items were completed prior to closing and unfortunately, issues now have to be filed on-line. It is a hit or miss what and when will be addressed by Lennar. The responsibility for issues seems to to be passed from one person/dept. to another. It appears that customer satisfaction is not a part of the criteria. ... More

The responses and customer service from the representatives are immaculate.

We had the worst experience with the lennar sales team and construction crew. I would never recommend lennar to anyone. It’s suppose to be fun and exciting purchasing a home ours was the compete opposite.

We were excited to begin our next chapter, retirement, and move into our "forever" home. Now, we are questioning whether we made the right decision. Shortly after we signed the purchase agreement, we received a warm welcome from Lennar and a commitment that we would have an "exceptional experience." Up until the closing, we had a very good experience . . . they were accommodating in rescheduling the walk through and closing to meet our schedule, our loan officer was awesome, we were welcomed at the "Final Celebration Sign-Off" and we were assured us that the items we noted during that visit (including construction clean-up, replacement of a dead bush and tire tracks in the boulevard) would be taken care of in advance of closing. Unfortunately, while the construction clean-up was completed the day after we closed, a month or more after closing, we were still waiting to have things fixed that were called to their attention either before or right after closing and most every day after we moved in (in addition to the landscaping, a GCFI outlet that powered our Wi-Fi tripped continuously and we learned there was an issue with the wiring) and now, almost two months after closing, more issues pop up pretty much weekly, including a dryer receptacle that was mis wired (it's been fixed) and our front door that doesn't completely seal (waiting for it to be fixed after two visits already), among other items, that need to be repaired. The representatives that handle the warranty claims have been wonderful, they have no control over the quality of the construction and workmanship. While they are very gracious and it is a blessing to have a warranty, it is frustrating that we need to keep reaching out and take time from our days to wait for repairmen to arrive to make the repairs. I would think, with Lennar's experience, the quality control would be top-notch. Unfortunately, at least in our home, it seems to be missing. ... More

Overall experience was good, their correspondence was amazing, frequent updates on progress and closing was smooth. Meeting with a contractor and walkthrough was amazing. Build quality is average. Lennar Quality check person who was appointed during blue tape inspection was very unprofessional and rude, he was behaving as if Lennar has given home for free as a charity and any question or quality issue we raised kind of agitated him personally. I am sure this is one of employee but that experience was very unpleasant to the point I wanted to just leave deposit and not proceed with purchase. ... More

Follow up for repairs by rep has been great

Bought a show home Was told by the sales person that we walk the home and mark anything that needs to be taken care of.went to a walk through with a couple of Lennar representatives and was told that I bought my home as is they did help with a few things. Me as a homeowner when I sold my house the new buyers walked my home and marked a few things that they wanted repaired as I thought Lennar would do. Also I bough the furniture in the show home a peace of furniture was missing For two months now I have tried to get this replaced but no one at Lennar wants to help! Danny M

Being able to visit my home anytime I wanted during construction process. Being kept in the loop during the building process.

Buying home is not easy, but with Lennar every thing becomes easy.
