The closing experience was not good I had questions about some items on the settlement form. It was impossible to talk to someone

Lennar is the 3rd builder that we had the opportunity to buy a house from. We are happy in the way Lennar communicated with us through the process. Special mention to Desiree our 1st contact person that made our purchase possible by consulting with management re: our realtor was out of the country. Jim M who showed us the house & guided us well. Jon L who is proactive in dealing with our requests after we’ve moved in.

Closing on the house was a stressful situation in itself. I've had several issues inside and outside of my house to include quality of craftsmanship and quality of material. My door frame has been split since before moving in but I could not see due to the builder painting over the split in the frame until recently due to opening/closing the door on a regular basis and the paint wearing off. The drainage in the yard has been an ongoing since I moved in.

We retired and moved to Florida in 2022. Wanted back to Texas in 2024. My wife kept going back to the listing for our house and after the fourth time she brought me to look at it on the computer I asked if it was the one. She said yes and we had our realtor make an offer. Lennar did Everything they said they would. They had us close on the day they said 6 weeks before closing, even with a hurricane that came thru. Buying this house was a very good experience even with us being in a different state. We Would buy another Lennar home.

Our sales rep she was amazing. She did everything that she could do to help us and she was there no matter what time or day we emailed or called her. Now closing was the worst experience ever I had never built with people who were so rude and had no hearts and just wasn’t worth our time if we didn’t have so much time invested and money spent I wouldn’t have went through but the people in your closing office are very rude and inconsiderate, and I will wish to never deal with them again But overall, my experience with our club with our sales person she was amazing. She did her job very well but the people at your closing greet you and they are supposed to make this experience wonderful and it’s supposed to be a happy experience at that table, they made it very miserable , and sad to say you guys to build houses for other people, but I would not refer them to use you guys to close on their home ... Accountability was the key issue with our build. Arriving at our initial pre-closing inspection, our Construction Manager was not there. He was on vacation and had not advised of another CM to take his place. MOST of our cosmetic walk through items were ignored. Larger items like cabinet replacements, holes in the walls, filthy tile grout.... all avoided. The hinges on most of our interior doors use multiple types of hardware, utilizing drywall screws, galvanized and Zinc screws. The carpet installed in the house was the cheaper carpet initially, and luckily for us, our local realtor was aware of which carpet needed to be in. Initial carpet was a cheaper carpet typically installed in Lennars Townhomes. Many excuses were made. Craftsmanship was subpar, communication was super, accountability was trash. ... More

The whole Lennar experienced was a disgrace. Lennar did not communicate well with other Lennar employees which made my experience a bad one. From purchasing, workmanship, and responsiveness have greatly made me put this business at the bottom of my list, due to the fact they don't care about their customers, nor timelines to get things done. Highly do not recommend anyone ever buying from this company cause they are really just out to get your momey.

Generally a good experience. We feel that it would have been better to include some simple add ons for top tier homes. For example, crown molding, nicer faucets and shower heads, a real medicine cabinet in the primary bathroom would be ideal adjustments. The kitchen cabinets should have higher quality options.

Easy online closing and good instructions to use appliances.

Quality is so bad that toilet needs a change, sink needs a change and irrigation needs a change.

Do not purchase a Lennar Home.

I love my Lennar home and lot. Eric guided me through the planning process. Neil met with me weekly at the home site to review construction progress. Jon addressed any issues that came up during the inspection and walk throughs. All Lennar associates I have come in contact with have been friendly, professional, and valued me as a home buyer.

My experience was questionable. The walk through was great. Connor was fantastic and answered all the questions we asked him.

Our experience with getting approved for a Lennar mortgage was very painful and stressful. Some people were very helpful; others were very difficult to deal with, especially with the documents we had to provide. The Lennar descriptions and sources for these were very misleading and unhelpful. Too much time pressure was put on us.

We bought because of the area and pricing , realtor was 5 stars all around and still is, even after we bought he has helped in so many ways. I definitely recommend Aaron 100%. As for the Loan officer , was a terrible experience after the 1st interaction. She would never answer texts, emails or phone calls till she needed something from you. Was very negative that you would be approved although my income was double what was needed. I suggested if you do get assigned to NINA to run the other way. lol. Or ask for someone else. But the home is great , used some cheap materials and we had to do a few upgrades and adjustments to make it better. Wish the WiFi was able to hardwired in better places than kitchen and living room. Cu my offices can’t be hardwired since they are downstairs. Electrical is the bare minimum. So eventually you will have to upgrade. Master bathroom we had to upgrade because floor was very slippery and 3 different neighbors agreed. They said double pane windows but they are not. We have made about 5 warranty calls. The HOA is not good at returning emails or calls either till they are ready to talk to you. The response time is a snails pace. Otherwise great neighbors. The gym is terrin as well. ... More

I was impressed with the kindness shown, knowledge regarding the homes, and the professionalism in helping me buy my home. Lennar cares about the individual home buyers and delivering a product meant to meet the buyers needs. I am completely delighted with my new home!

There were a few major issues in this house after it was closed on 7/26/24. I received keys after closing on 7/26/24, there were no blinds and no cleaning at all (lots of construction remains everywhere). Reported Leaking water from the 2nd floor and garage on 8/6/24. The construction was done on 8/21/24, including drying the wall paint.The water was leaking from the attic. The AC company visited twice. The last visit was on 8/16/24, but the water dripping issue is exactly the same (please see attached photo – Destiny told me that I can submit another ticket to recheck the roof or other leaking area) Here's how my family had an inconvenience from 7/26/24 to 8/22/24. I had to take pain medications due to body aches and headaches from sleeping in a button bed or being unable to sleep since 7/26/24 until 8/21/24 because of the 2nd floor and garage under construction. The loud fan sounds – made it impossible for anyone to sleep in those situations.There were 2 fans running 24 hours a day from 8/13/24 to 8/19/24 –Who's going to pay the electric bill?Never used AC till now, just tested by AC Tech while fixing it even in very hot weather in Chula Vista. (I am still unable to turn it on due to the water dripping issue.)I canceled all furniture's delivery – will pay the penalty.I couldn't use anything upstairs (all rooms, laundry, showers) from 7/26/24 to 8/21/24All family members were unable to stay home or sleep in this house instead of somewhere else due to construction until 8/21/24.Canceled on 8/17-8/18/24 housewarming and moving plans.Six relatives had canceled flight tickets due canceled to a house warming.All families were suffering. The quality of life has been very bad since the closing date of 7/26/24. Some issues still on going some issues and I sent email to Ochoa Area Manager - Customer Care San Diego but still didn't get answer yet. ... More

During our home buying process we were met with nothing but difficulties in communication. My wife was due to deliver our first child and we needed the closing date moved to a later date. Every request was denied. Only after reminding the sales team of federal protections around medical conditions did they move the date….. one week back. During the walk-through, we found many issues with Sheetrock finish work, and even one wall was 4 inches out of plumb. The work quality on the construction displays the lack of care from the builders. After one full month of being in the home we have found more than a dozen nail pops that we have been told they will not repair. We’ve had a plumbing failure that took a week to repair. We a number of floor squeaks that have been assessed but no one has come to make repairs. Customer service comes second to making a profit. Poor, poor, poor customer service. I would not recommend Lennar to anyone. The only reason we did not back out of the purchase was because we were old have lost our deposit. ... More

I could not be happier with this home and our experience with Lennar.

Many individuals that you work with following the purchase if there are issues seem to be quick to respond, communicate well. Just understand you get what you pay for then you will not have any issues. The overall workmanship, especially on the finishing leaves a lot to be desired, everything from uneven tile work, caulking & grout work, finishing cuts on trim, etc.

While writing contract & Signing it, I clearly mentioned i am buying on my LLC and all parties agreed and signed. Just 5 days before closing, they said, we can not give you on LLC as per Lennar Policy, i need to authorize and title can be on LLC. Since only 5 Days left, i un willingly accepted. But then Just one hour before closing, they said i can't have title on LLC, What ....!!! this is how you guys deal with. Construction Quality: Pros: Good Quality Construction, i appreciate that. Cons: While closing walk through, we did identified minor things, they agreed to fix, but they did not fix. when i asked, since its closed, they had lot of procedure to follow up and the guy who agreed to fix not honoring his words. Everything went exactly as planned with our closing and move. Our new home is exactly what it was suppose to be. No major issues. any small issues was dealt with quickly and to our full satisfaction.

Everything has been great. Only complaint is that there are NO closets anywhere (aside from the bedrooms). There are no linen closets, coat closets, storage closets, etc. There is plenty of space for them, so either that or a little larger spare bedrooms would have been nice to fill the additional dead space. Aside from that, everything is well built.
