This was the worst home buying experience ever! From the beginning to the end! Lennar has gone from using decent materials to the cheapest materials they can find! The grass had to be replaced and that was a hassle to get done, the garage floor edge broke and we told nothing can be done, the landscaping is terrible. The tress were put in incorrect and they refused to fix them and now they are broken. We are being told it’s our responsibility to get them fix! They don’t even put up towel racks or toilet paper holders. I can go and on but I think you get the jist ! We definitely should of gone with a different builder! ... More

Please do you home work and have your options open to compare houses, and mortgage broker with other builders.

My broker did not get paid and sales man kept her commission even though she went with me and I let him know via message that she was going with me. They stated that she didn’t walk in with me the first time that I walked in to ask questions, however, I was never told that she wouldn’t be getting a commission even though she went with me to all the walkthroughs/inspections. We contacted his manager and higher ups and no one cared they also responded in a rude and unprofessional way making me think that they only care about making a sale. This put me in an uncomfortable situation as I became liable for her commission. I will never buy another Lennar home in the future or would recommend anyone. ... More

We are two months in from when we closed and I still haven’t even received a call back from our loan officer with answers to questions I had from when we moved on! I can say the only decent experience and people were Ana and Sharon who also tried to help. Project managers were rude and things did not get done when they said they would, the financing department never returned calls and when they did they were dismissive and made you feel like you were a bother. There was no follow up or follow through, to the point I almost lost my home insurance because they had not received the payment made at closing and even that took a long time of me being the one coordinating things and following up because Lennar apparently couldn’t be bothered. I would never recommend this company and I will make sure if I ever have to buy a property it will not be with Lennar. ... More

Warranty and repair issues are poor, lack of communication

Our supervisor Daniel was very responsive. He ensured all issues were handled on time and took care of some thing personally to meet deadlines.

When we first moved in to our home a few months ago, half the grass was dead, the tree in the front yard was dead, there was trash everywhere, and they did a horrible job painting the inside. There was zero prep work done to the ground before laying the sod down, and I witnessed this as I saw them do the neighbors. They left their bottles and trash and rocks in the yard and threw the sod on top of all of it. Other neighbors have stepped on pieces of metal in the yard. THIS IS A LAWSUIT IN THE MAKING. If one of my children were to have stepped on any of the junk I found in the lawn, it would not have even a good situation. Not to mention they didn’t pull any weeds before starting so now my grass is 80% weeds. I’d rather have done it all my self because I’m doing more work to fix it than it would have been to do it right the first time. I know dozens of others in the neighborhood feel the same way. Also, they used one layer of the cheapest paint possible inside. If you get any dirt on the wall and try to wipe it off, it wipes the paint off with it. So we have to paint the entire house because after 2 months of being here, there’s spots where paint is missing because you can’t properly clean it. There’s also paint splatter all over the floors and it’s caked up on door hinges. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy a Lennar starter home unless you do the landscaping yourself and ensure they do a good job painting and clean up after themselves. ... More

Great experience. Excellent sales agent. Builder explained the house clearly.

What could be an all encompassing & complete buying experience is rushed to the point that details are overlooked both administratively and from a construction perspective. The volume is tremendous and the various departments,) sales ,mortgage, & insurance) do not communicate or act as one. A life in sales & marketing allows me to observe what could be the most effective Custer Service tools of any industry, rendered useless, ineffective, and down right weaponized, against the buyer. Numbers are very important for a publicly traded company trying to occupy this segment of the housing market. But Lennar needs to decide what is more important, the numbers or the buying experience (Customer Service) because right now The Bean Counters are winning & it is obvious. Some areas of the house had poor quality

Brand new home had a broken truss that had to be repaired. Was informed that the HVAC system had been installed on the wrong side of the house, which it still is. According to the construction foreman it won’t affect the system. Hope he’s right. Inferior lumber used throughout construction. Terrible drywall prep and painting throughout entire house. Dry paint in carpet, all over floors and door hardware. LED lights in ceiling are going bad. Trim work is sloppy. Have had to have windows replaced and now the outside panel on the sliding glass door has to be replaced. This has been a terrible experience with a terrible built home. The only good experience I’ve had is working with Jessica. She has been going above and beyond trying to help me get things repaired. She has been doing an amazing job. I will never recommend a Lennar home to anyone. I tell people if you want to see how a Lennar home is built, just watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Pay close attention to Charlie’s house. Low build quality, finding problems since day 1. A lot of relatively small issues but they build up and snowball. A lot of it can be avoided by putting in high quality work in the first place. Sales team and home rep are generally responsive but the same can't be said for their lender team.

I would like for other home buyers to make others happy about their new home as Lennar has done, & is doing for me.

Lennar Sales Team and the Loan Officer made the process pleasant. Thomas and Gail were awesome!! I wish I could say the same about the underwriting process. We started our home buying process six months before closing and we didn’t get our final approval from the underwriter until 3 days before closing. This was such a stressful situation. Imagine going to a design studio and final house tour without knowing the house was yours. Crazy!!! The underwriter did not work on anything until weeks before closing. We moved from a different city and needed to get things settled with our kids schools and activities. I have a special needs son and unfortunately due to the procrastination on the underwriters behalf he doesn’t have continued care. I’m getting everything together but it sucks that lots of these things could have been prevented. Another thing I didn’t appreciate is how they moved my closing date sooner by one day giving me only a one month grace period to be mortgage free. If I closed the day after I would have had two months of grace to pay my mortgage. Some of my neighbors had that luxury but not me. Other than that I love my home. I’m so in love with the layout of my home it fits all our needs. I love the neighborhood. If I had to do it again I would but I would request the underwriter to approve before putting down earnest money and signing a hold. ... More

I have several issues with poor craftsmanship and poorly applied landscape. Also, Lennar was supposed to pay of my credit cards at closing and then sent me checks on their behalf. I them had to send those to the card company's and the funds never went through. My next stop is the attorney generals office.

Very easy to work with Lennar realator and the mgtm team that did the final punch list of items to be done before closing.

It would be great if Lennar play a key role in quality check; we personally ran into multiple hassles due to poor quality inspection after completion of each area.

Pay attention to wall lots of touch up needed. Preferred loan officer was hard to get hold off

I obtained my loan from Lennar Mortgage. Ryan was great to work with . He was always available for questions and kept me up to date through the entire process . Thank you Ryan

Marla is Absolutely a person of her word she is actually the one that has me move in from KB to you , amazing her customer service and how sure she is Lennar is her I do believe

The experience was horrible, our realtor Kem was not good. He did not do a good job. Lack of information and communication. Things were half done in our home. If we could go back we wouldn’t buy from lennar.

This was are first time buying a new build and the process was smooth and easy they addressed any of are concerns and made sure we was happy with our new home. I would highly recommend Lennar homes to all my friends and family!
