Overall extremely smooth process. The build quality and materials arent near as good as older generation homes you can tell they cut corners to pump them out. They do deserve credit as the home team does repair what is messed up so praise to them and credit where due.

I had a wonderful experience with Jessie. I was actually looking for a property that I had an appointment for and i accidentally went to Lennar. Jessie was so helpful! He worked with me through it all and I did this alone. Leslie was my loan officer and she did a wonderful job! I love my new home. The only thing I would change would be the paint. It was flat white. I had to paint it satin. I wish it would have came that way because it would have saved me a lot of time and money. But, despite that, it was a very good process!

I was excited to do my first house build - a dream achievement! However, this was not the new home buyer experience I expected from a touted national builder. Lennar gets an "F" for communication - from my 'concierge' to the mortgage company to the escrow manager to the customer care team. Emails contain erroneous information, days and dates are incorrect. Most shocking was when it was suggested that I sign a legal document the author knew contained information that was flat-out wrong because she didn't know how to correct it without tech help. (I didn't sign it until corrected.) I've even ...

Terrible workmanship and materials

Lennar homes are terrible quality, seems like builder just rush their work and use the cheapest material as possible. Foundation cracks have appeared and have made my floor rise and lennar says that there is no foundation issue. Even after I have had my own third party foundation company tell me there are problems. Will never buy a lennar home again.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Jacob,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that you have been having issues with your floor. I will share this with upper management for them to review.

Overall Lennar was good, but they have removed a lot of items I would consider move in ready. No window treatments, no AC, no garage door openers, no fence, no Ring doorbell. Many of these items were offered in the early stages of building out this neighborhood.

House defect include: unfinished dry wall, recess not working and solar system still not working after many attempts to fix it. It had to take time off work to wait for contractors that do not show up. Just terrible.

Lennar responded:

New home purchase with Lennar

A generally straightforward and simple process. Some might be bothered by the lack of finish choices, but we found the available options from which to choose to be very well designed. Our sales agent, Debra, was a joy to work with; our concierge, Jenni, made the process seamless; Jean, the project manager provided excellent information; and Scott was responsive and thorough with post move-in follow up. If I had one concern it was related to Sunnova, the mandatory solar provider. But issues in this area had more to do with their processes than Lennar.

I have purchased 4 homes throughout my 42 years of life and this was by far the worst experience. The communication is poor when it comes to consistency amongst all parties involved. If I had 8,000 to waste, I would have walked away from this home just based on Lennar staff. The organization was poor, timelines felt unorganized and pressured. The quality is not the best. I can hear everything that goes on outside and next door. They don't even provide window treatment for the many windows in the home. I could go on and on about the negatives, but it's not worth my energy. I'm just glad it's ...

Closing left all promises largely not met.

Many questions about utilities, HOA, mail box Keys, missing door code access, rig door camera manual, services etc. was not provided. Even house keys were not ready to deliver at closing. They were to mail them to me. they were later found, I had to return after I had signed and left. A master bathroom clogging issue took 3 weeks to be resolved which delayed our move for nearly a month. Water heater and garage door broke withing first month. Two individuals from the final breakthrough actually help covering most of these issues as they took the above and beyond approach to help.

This was the first time I experienced buying a house built from the ground, just for me.. Lennar really did a good job on the design. I got to see the installation before the walls went up. It was amazing how the construction crew did the work. They all knew what to do and how to do it. I’m grateful to have gone with this company. Thanks to everyone involved.

WILL NEVER BUY FROM LENNAR AGAIN

  • Samantha M.

I will never recommend buying from Lennar. This company is a joke. The communication between the construction crew for walk throughs, the agents, and the loan officers is so laughable. The construction is crap. During the first walk through, nothing was cleaned up and the inspection couldn’t be completed because of this. More things were broke between the first walk through and the final walk through but Lennar didn’t want to fix it, because it wasn’t on the original walk through. They broke it AFTER the walk through. We were told we could lay soaker hoses down because the grass was dying and ...

The home as a whole is not designed for older buyers even though advertised as 55+. Entry steps are too high, the front access to the backyard is through rough mud/dirt obstacle, and very difficult to navigate for cane, walker, wheel chair. Most vehicles bottom out trying to get into the garages because of a sharp drip from the driveway to street below.

Looks like all the stuff was done in a hurry, like outlets are not straight, some are loose. Painting had a lot of bad spots, Door painting is rough, nothing was sanded down well before painting. Main water line is covered up hard to get a water softner in, lot of extra cost.
