Overall, my home-buying experience was smooth and exciting. The process was well organized, and the builder kept me informed throughout each stage. Moving into my new home was a rewarding experience, and I am pleased with the outcome. I am very satisfied with the quality and value of my new home. The craftsmanship, design, and features meet my expectations, and I feel that I received a well-built home at a fair price. The builder’s team was professional, courteous, and responsive. They followed through on their commitments, answered my questions promptly, and worked to address any concerns ...

More about the community than the homes

I love the community and all of our new neighbors. Everyone is friendly and outgoing. Many people here share the same interests and there is a great atmosphere. The build quality leaves something to be desired. For every great feature you find, you will find at least 1 drawback or quality control issue. Here are some examples. Lennar uses quartz countertops, but only 2cm thin, therefore the chip and crack easily. The house are all settling and suffering from cracks. There is no power in the floor so today's modern electric reclining sofas have to run extension cords. Insulation is blown ...

Great experience except for financial folks

We love our new Lennar home and the new community! The only problem we had was on the financial end, the loan officer, and those folks. And in talking to all our new neighbors who were already here when we moved in as well as the neighbors who have moved in after us, we all seem to have the same thing in common….. the lending process was unnecessarily, stressful, and overall not good. So far almost everyone we have spoken to experienced the same thing we did in that it was a lot of “hurry up and wait“ with the worst part being none of us were approved for our loans until a day or two before ...

I was selling and buying at the same time. There was no transparency from the Lennar team on issues with appraisal causing delays affecting close on new purchase. This caused for a very stressful close that could have been avoided. Communication was poor!

Poor workmanship

It looks like this house was built by apprentices, none of the walls are straight and none of the windows are squared, the entire wall shakes when the door closes, the floor planks keep popping out of place and I've been told to use a soft hammer every time it happens, the last tech pour glue in the seems lol, true. The backyard is terrible uneven and worst is pitching towards the house all around. Service request is handled by a computer and after you request you need to do a virtual appointment to confirm if you are telling the truth I guess.

“My overall experience buying a Lennar home in Wind Meadows South has been very positive. The homebuying process was smooth, and the sales team kept us informed throughout each step. We appreciate the modern floor plan, included features, and overall value compared to other builders in the area. The workmanship and materials have been good overall, with only a few minor issues that are common with new construction. Lennar’s team was responsive in addressing punch-list items after move-in, and communication was generally solid. No builder is perfect, but our experience has been a positive ...

Lots of issues. Hole in laundry floor that wasn't patched correctly, Had to add basement outlets and lights since you only got 1 outlet and 4 lights. Missed painting over numbers written on wall in bath by cabinet guy. There was mold on joists above foundation under the insulation. Poor trim work. Some light switches weren't even connected. Overall a very minimum quality. Had to have a contractor make all corrections.

Overall experience was a little crazy. Communication was almost not a thing during the process unless I made contact first. Move in date kept getting pushed back further & further. When I finally moved in my home I started to notice small problems like when I take a shower the wall gets a little wet & the paint starts coming off the wall. Even on the ceiling the paint is coming off a little. The spiders are a problem being I am about to have a newborn inside the home. No street lights on my street & many others. My bestfriend was going to move here also but I advised her not too because I’ve ...

Lennar home buying process was unpleasant at best; home itself is pretty good

  • James K.

  • Roseville, CA

I have owned a Lennar home previously that I was reasonably happy with that helped influence my decision to buy another Lennar home. Unfortunately, this was perhaps the most unpleasant home buying experience I’ve had (out of more than a dozen homes I’ve bought in my life). Lennar loan process was very poor and communication was spotty. I ended up closing more than a week late on my loan despite having great credit and significant income / assets. This cost me time, money and was a huge inconvenience. The loan processor was knowledgeable and very responsive at times; however, there ...
