Amazing experience with only minor issues

Jeff and Yumiko were absolutely amazing. Our remote closing was a breeze. Marie lacked communication with us during underwriting and came off as rude in multiple emails with how things were worded. We were excited to take a photo with the congratulations sign on the garage but it was taken down before we got half way done with our final walkthrough. While other houses that sold after ours have had the sign up for multiple days. If we were to buy another home through Lennar we would gladly do so again.

Terrible Employees but Beautiful Home

The build experience with Lennar was terrible. I have told my friends to go elsewhere unless this is all they can afford! From the get go, things were chaotic and disorganized and unprofessional. The selling team will tell you one thing and then later say something completely different and act like you’re the one who made it up! Then when we moved on to construction, everything seemed alright until we had issues with the build that our inspector found. There was so much sloppy workmanship. And the construction manager said he made necessary repairs that we were able to check and find out he ...

Not a great experience.. no attention to details.. promise they would fix things when we went to closing on the way back nothing was done.. we owned a west bay home and a GL home and this was the worst ..

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Joseph,

We sincerely apologize that your experience with us fell short of your expectations. We understand your disappointment, especially considering the unaddressed details and the broken promise to fix things before closing.

We take pride in offering a legendary customer experience, and we fell short in your case. We hope to demonstrate this commitment to you moving forward by ensuring a much better post-closing experience.

Sincerely,

Unorganized throughout Home Buying Process. Outsource Issues after Close

Refused to perform final walk through with realtor. The financial process was unorganized. Switched to different untrained employees who made errors when calculating the amount due at closing. After the purchase, they were also difficult with letting us know how to pay them.

I was very pleased with the journey of buying a new construction home through Lennar . All the staff members were great and helped me navigate through the technical aspects of the home buying process. Since I’m not a tech savvy person I’m sure glad they were patient with me. That was the positive part of the process. Now comes the parts I was not so thrilled about. I thought I would have a say on what items I preferred in a newest bblconstruction home 1- the house came without gutters. It’s an added big expense that I wasn’t counting on 2- Would’ve liked to have gotten a fridge included in ...

This has been a very poor purchase experience. Exterior walls is terrible condition

As a real estate investor, I am a 5x Lennar home investor. 4 of them are in FL. This 5th home at Glen Pine is the worst closing experience I have ever had. I will not buy another home from Lennar in FL anymore. The main issues are poor workmanship at and missing house keys. My closing was delayed 4 weeks because of these and other issues. But I will just focus on the 2 mentioned. The major issue I had was the many exterior walls were discolored. Miranda, Lennar customer rep, was at orientation and final appt. She brushed it off as sand, and did not remove it because it was not listed ...

This home built quality is 5 out of 10, things left unfinished, they used the cheapest materials, walls get scuffed up and damaged very easily. Outside ground under lawn is very soft, you walk over it and you will sink about 3 4 inches. Walls are not built straight, they just want to make money on you. If you comment about their work because you seen too many unprofessional workmanship on the house, they don’t like the way you talk with them. Any body gets mad for the bad quality of house they get. We paid for it at least they can do is do good quality work, even if they using cheap ...

My home at Venue

I was looking for a new construction ranch - no stairs. I fell in love with the 1st model i saw at Venue at Smithville Greene (the Saratoga). It has everything I wanted and even more with a very open flow. My son said dad you made a mistake - go next door. Next door was the Merion model. Downstairs was very similar to the Saratoga plus it has "what I would call a visitor apartment" for guests or live-in help. I hate to say it, but my son was right. I am now living in a dream home near my grown kids and love it.

I expected the overall buying process to be easier when using all Lennar companies (builder, lender, insurer, etc), but that was not the case. Home build quality is good but not great - needed tradesmen out to the house twice to correct issues within the first month.

Justin is an excellent employee for Lennar. He has the perfect personality for his position and he seems to care about Lennar's Buyers warranty issues as best he can. He has been the highlight of my buying experience. The rest of the buying experience was average from a personality perspective with other team members. I am happy with my house and would refer Lennar over other national builders I have bought from including Meritage and DR Horton

I experienced multiple issues with the workmanship and quality of my newly built home; there were nails in the carpet, the paint job was poor, the garage door was derailed, the entry door from the garage into the home was dented, my electric front door lock was damaged, and the carpet on parts of my staircase was loose.

The sales experience was good, but as soon as I tried to reach out for a workmanship issue, there was no one to be found. None of the “emergency” numbers that were listed by the builder were available, except for the Lennar one with a recording to leave a message. The message was never answered and the home consultants I reached out to simply told me they couldn’t help. So much for home warranty and standing behind your products.

What is suppose to be a great home buying experience has definately been extremely horrible, since the beginning from the loan to moving in. Problem after problem with a BRAND NEW home. Only person who has been a pleasure to work with has been Alex. He has been on top of EVERYTHING that has been wrong with my home. Just wow!! I don't know about recommending Lennar!!
