My experience wasn't good. This was my second home that I purchased and the construction side of it was a mess. The contract workers gave this builder a bad name. The contract workers did a poor job and made a lot of mistakes. On the financial side that was excellent and easy.

Lennar aesthetically designs very nice homes. They have nailed the advertising, sales, and mortgage process making it so easy to find and purchase a home seamlessly. Quality of interior finishes, choices, and overall craftsmanship is lacking. The Covid related issues of supply chain and labor issues have exacerbated their ability to deliver quality. During the finish construction process, their own workers damage things like cabinets, wood floors, etc before you even move in. - then you as the buyer are forced to chase them to replace and fix everything. The finish work in my home is horrible. Poor workmanship in regards to the wood trim and doors. Lack of time taken to measure properly. Lights hung with no apparent designated location. I have a wall that is 2 inches out of plumb from top to bottom. The interior paint job is the worst I've ever seen, all around.

Our agent Hyatt was the best, always available to talk and answer any of our questions, especially as first time homebuyers. The home we bought was built well although I could find many small imperfections throughout the house as I spent more time in it. Imperfections such as some walls had paint that was not touched up well, some of the wall moldings appeared as if someone had no patience and just did a fast job, I also found a crack under our kitchen island. There isn’t want square edge or right angle in this entire house. Concrete is crooked.. patio, porch, driveway etc.

With Lennar, I would expect the quality homes and they are one of the reputed builder in the market. Slowly after moving into my new townhome I started to realize that the quality of material used to build the house could have been much more better. They are building 8 townhomes in timespan of 2 months. I guess they are in rush as the market starts to slow down.

Rat infestation, from Lennar building behind us. Lennar knew this would happen, so they put it in your contract that they are not responsible for rodents. It has cost me over $6,000 to get rid of the rats.

We had a great home buying experience - everything went perfectly. The quality of the work is what is really upsetting to us. The trim work and paint are awful. They quality of the paint and the paint job is terrible. They do have someone coming to do “touch ups” but honestly they whole house needs to be redone.

While there is a warranty, it is really difficult to have anything fixed. I have to follow up like a bill collector to have contractors come to fix anything (aside from Casa mechanical - they have been AMAZING), and its really, really annoying. Some of the materials used don't equate to how expensive our house was, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that its so hard to get anything fixed.

3 months into living here the backyard starts to flood and all the grass dies from the fungus of standing water. Lennar denies to fix the grading in the back yard and the side of the house. Claims it has to be more than 48hr of standing water. If you have an issue, they won’t fix it, they’ll find a reason why it isn’t their fault. They blame my backyard not draining on me over watering the grass.
