Most of this rating is related to with after the blue tape walk through, Cody and Brian were very responsive but very little was corrected by the fixing team, especially final cleaning. We had to send a detailed list to Cody of issues after we had closed. Including not being able to lock the front door. Hopefully this rating will cause some one to contact us in order to lay everything out. We are still waiting confirmation, since 22 Decembers closing, that all had been corrected. Since we are still overseas, Our realtor has graciously been our agent there working with your team.

Id recommend them to a friend, in fact I have already and they are in the process of buying as well.

This is the strangest homebuying experience I’ve ever had. Admittedly, I’ve never purchased a brand new home before, but I’ve never had so much miscommunication/misrepresentation(?) in a business deal before. While every person that I have worked with at Lennar has been nice and (seemingly) helpful, I constantly got incorrect information and made decisions based on that incorrect information. The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing - as they say. Particularly problematic were the people in the mortgage department but the issue is across-the-board. I don’t plan on ever moving and really love where I’m at but if for some reason I had to purchase another new home, I would never buy from Lennar again. ... More

We just closed on our condo , we have so many issues from the poor general contractors hired they don’t care and it shows! I worked for a large builder and we would never deliver products like this to our client’s! I would have never purchased a Lennar property knowing this now! So sad we are still waiting on issues to be resolved

Would recommend lennar to my friends

We purchase at The Venue at Smithville in Eastampton, NJ. Lennar offers 3 models of single-family houses and has display models for touring. It was easy to determine the model we were most interested in, and the sales rep was very helpful. We knew exactly what we were getting and just had to choose a lot and a couple of options. The whole experience through closing was very easy, transparent and on schedule. The house is obviously in move in condition, but if you want to customize it plan to spend some more money.

Rebecca replied promptly to all questions or concerns. The closing was done long distance using docusign. There were a few issues with the finished product. Most were fixed, but not all. Rebecca must have been reassigned, because we have not seen her since we moved in.

Lennar tricks you by telling you that certain things are included, items are installed to code, floor plans, etc. Then you find problems with everything. Lennar - Actual experience Window coverings (shades) included - not on all windows. Electrical installed to code - so far lights and outlets were found that did not meet code Painting will be complete right after walkthrough - it’s been 2 months and still is not complete Standard windows - that don’t open (imagine your smoke detector going off every time you cook) We will leave the spare tile for you - did not leave spare tile. Home is wired for internet. - there is no power in the entire room that has the wires run to it. Can’t power the router. There is also no USPS service in this neighbourhood. Trash service has not dropped off cans (it’s been two months). Almost all of the breakers are labelled wrong. The garage door has huge gaps in it. No additional power in the garage. No light in the laundry room. No doorbell (they said this was standard), not even pre wired. There’s a clubhouse but we are not allowed to access it. Homestead tax exemption is not applicable. Lisa our realtor was great! She answered all our questions in timely manner and made sure we got everything promised to us by the builder. The tile company was easy to work with. The customer service rep. Dave also very responsive. He cares about making sure we are satisfied with all repair issues.

Great staff and easy to work with kept us informed on each phase from the beginning to the end.

The workmanship is very poor , my living room ceiling , you can see the taping on every seam and on my south wall you can see the screws popping through. The heat in my master bathroom is not working the vent must be blocked, I had to buy an electric heater to keep it warm at night, I have Sent emails about these issues but no response. Joe

There is a lack of customer service and care. Will not buy again myself or recommend to anyone else.

Absolutely the best experience ever.

Brio, the home final walk-through, I made them aware of some issues of the flooring of the house and some other details. The day came of the final war. True they weren’t take care of the person in charge told me they were gonna take care of the same day came back after closing they were not taken care of it, plus I believe it was my underwriter. Wait until the last minute to actually start working on my lawn we were supposed to sign on in the morning didn’t sign into 809 at night time then the title company was sending my personal information.

Too much paper work and nonstop emails and letters coming from too many people and agencies that have caused me to miss deadlines and important issues. The Lennar people working with me have been Great and have responded quickly and generously. But the whole Lennar purchase Process sucked for me. I have bought 5 homes over the years and this was the worst experience ever. It didn't have to be that way. I hope it was better for others. The HOA paperwork was a surprise, I was told the HOA was just for the upkeep of the children's playground. (Not True). So what is that called? I wasn't given HOA paperwork until weeks after we moved in. A Big Plus--I finally was given weeks later that there is a list of people to fix issues with the house. I wanted to take a moment to praise your staff out at Venue at Longview in New Egypt, New Jersey. My wife, Jean, and I recently sold our home of 27 years in Howell, NJ. At 57 I really had some hesitancy on moving into a 55+ community. I feel more like I'm 40 than close to 60!! lol. But upon meeting Gerry our sales rep, and seeing what a beautiful community you're building my apprehensions subsided. I have owned and run large GM Auto Dealerships in my 40 years in the automotive industry so I know sales and salesmanship. Gerry was very inviting, low pressure, knowledgeable and courteous to my wife and I. He really has become more of a friend through this process than just our sales guy. He assisted and advised us through every step of the process. From the original date of sale (he came back to work from home to meet us and write up the order) to the walk throughs, to the closing he has been professional and a pure pleasure to work with. Chris, the builder, has also been awesome to work with. He did a great job on the pre-sheetrock walk through and advised us on all the things we should be made aware of. He was professional and knowledgeable on the production and build of our home. At one point a problem arose in a crack in the foundation. Our last home that we sold had a crack I was unaware of that ended up costing us over $15000 at closing so, needless to say, this was a GIANT issue with me. I am also putting in a recording studio in the basement with many guitars, keyboards and expensive equipment so I have a huge concern about dampness and water penetration. Chris had the personality to even calm me!!! Which if you ask my wife is not an easy task. lol. He was calm and precise in his explanation and resolution of the problem and his answers and surety put me at ease over the problem. Since we have closed he has been over several times to address any and all concerns and has gone above and beyond in making sure we are happy and satisfied. Candice, the warranty specialist, has ALSO been FANTASTIC! She is such a sweet person and has shown a truly genuine concern for us. She thoroughly went over all of our warranties and really took the time to do it. I never felt like she looked at her job as just a process and list of things to check off. She came across as really wanting us to feel comfortable and secure in the coverage of our new home. Not once ever rushing through anything. Her follow up skills are awesome and she is truly a value to your company. We look forward to working with her as time goes on. Karen has also been great!! She has no attachment to our purchase with Gerry as our sales rep but STILL has gone above and beyond any time we have asked her a question or needed help with something. She is also an asset to Lennar! As far as the home, we love it!! I originally had planned on moving down to Nashville by my mid 60's as I play guitar and sing but circumstances caused us to stay in NJ, primarily the birth of our new granddaughter. I'm very happy with everything so far and look forward to building memories in our new Lennar home! Thank you for building such a great staff to facilitate that! ... More

Keys didn’t work to my new home. Went to pick up keys no one was there. They were at a party very poor communication. My son and I had to wait 3 hours for tech to make us new keys. Still waiting to see if you all are going to pay land taxes.

Everyone that we have dealt with at Lennar has been polite professional and helpful . Our home has had issues with that said Lennar is taking care of our concerns and issues with the home. Bottom line we are happy.

Highly recommend being involved throughout the build, any corner to be cut will be cut by builder. Shady operation with lowest quality materials, paint, cabinets, flooring etc. Expect to be stone walled. Highly recommend hiring an inspector before closing. They will not let you on the roof to inspect roofing until after closing and this is a no drone zone. Meet the builder was halfway decent with Brian although orientation and final walk through was unpleasant. Fixed that were made were done cheaply and unprofessional, chipped cabinets especially. Warranty representative (Mitch) was especially rude, inexperienced, unknowledgeable, acted like he knew things that he didn’t, had brash sense of humor, unfriendly, was speaking over people especially buyers, brushing things off as no big deal, and had no accountability. Mitch should be relieved of his job. There are other things that are still lacking attention and we hesitate to address these items due to not wanting to deal with Mitch specifically. I like the price! The homes are very nice.

My family and I have had an excellent experience with Lennar. First off, the home and the community (Bridgewater) represent one the best values in the metroplex. The home is affordable and well built, the community and amenities are outstanding, the customer service and follow-up are immediate and both the home building and mortgage/title process are streamlined. We used Lennar for the home, finance and title so, we had the full experience. No process is perfect, but any issues that came up were addressed immediately and professionally. Please be aware when dealing with Lennar. You have to constantly reach out regarding the home & updates as to when closing is. On the day of closing, it was a horrible experience due to lennar mortgage waiting till the last min on getting paperwork together and etc. Amanda with lennar mortgage made our home buying experience a disaster and I would not recommend. Please have y’all ducks in a row before getting to the closing table. Tate, & Brad were great with the actual home building updates.

Very pleased with quality of home . workmanship and price, I have had to fix a couple of issues with my new home and it was taken care of quickly.
