All representatives for Lennar were great. The exception is the loan process. I understand policy and procedures. But the lack of attention to detail and accountability caused a lot of stress. My loan was approved the day before I had to vacate my apartment and started my new job. I supplied documents that were submitted multiple times...emails, pay slips...Other than that everything else was handled professionally.

I’ve been terribly disappointed in the build quality of this house overall. The whole house feels rushed. The garage was left in terrible shape. The drywall tape isn’t fully secured to the wall. They used mud to cover big gaps around light fixtures, windows, and calk around door panels. The furnace was labeled incorrectly in the fuse panel, which was discovered because it kept blowing the fuse. When the electrician came to fix it he looked at the furnace and found it was wired incorrectly. Wires weren’t tightened down causing the power to arc, and trip the fuse. There is a full size wood nail sticking out through my stairs about 1.5 inches. The lamp post wasn’t completely installed, and tightened down. There was a bad electrical socket installed in the kitchen causing a loss of power to other sockets. The problem is the bad socket was covered with drywall so no one even knew it was there. The airflow on the furnace was marked the wrong direction so for 2 months I had the filters installed backwards. I’m pretty sure a light in the hallway is wired to the incorrect switch. I’ve been here for just over 2 months and every week there is a new discovery of a problem caused by poor craftsmanship. Big regrets buying this overpriced house. ... More

was 2 days before closing and cosmetic issues were still not completed after i reminded them 2 wks in advance , they probably wouldn't have done anything if i had not been proactive , there was also 2 electrical issues that i didn;t find until after closing , unfinished wiring for the attic light the switch was never installed and 3 outlets would trip immediately when used , where is quality control ? How did this pass the county electrical inspector ? It took them at least 5 months to repair one of the 2 hot tubs , absolutely no excuse for that other than poor managementm , had to wait one week after closing to get the entrance gate barcode so i paid $400000 for a new villa and was not allowed to enter the community and then when i spoke with the HOA lady to finally get it she even admits that this is ridiculous that this has been that way since the beginning , every single person i met so far said the same thing happened to them ......Lennar only cares about the sale and not about the customers basic needs , they will tell you everything you want to hear until closing and then its another story ... My experience with Stony Hill at reflection was an awesome experience. Everyone has been very kind and supportive. They went above and beyond to make my experience a welcoming one. From my initial mortgage application to my closing. Any doubts or fears that I had was completely merl away. Thanks for the heart felt welcome you showed me.

Pretty good experience with Lennar Home and closing. On closing day, the issues to fix and the cleanliness of house could have been better. Had to delay closing one day to fix issues. Could use better quality appliances, especially in washer, dryer and dishwasher. Should have left a little touch up paint also.

I have purchased 7 homes in the past 31 years and this by far was the worst experience I have ever had with a builder, from the start to close. I had to postpone the closing because what they called a finish home was not what the general public would consider finished. And the even managed to screw up the closing when it came time for that process. I flew my wife in from NC just for the close and we could not and would not close based on condition of home. I would never recommenced a Lennar home to anyone and my now neighbors feel the same way. Do not purchase a Lennar home their customer service is the worst and this includes issues with their so called warranty staff after the move in. ... More

There was a glass breakage issue. Bathroom tiles had cracks.

Good points: the exterior walls of the property are made of all concrete. I've only had minor issues which were repaired quickly. Lennar could have done a better job prepping me for the move-in. No one told me that I needed to be present for the walk through and I couldn't close until I did. No one told me that cable was included with my HOA so I spent hours with Spectrum getting it set up. This is all the responsibility of the sales office. They need to get organized. They wasted a lot of my time.

With the market being what it is, my wife and I had become more and more pessimistic about ever owning a home. Prices are skyrocketing, companies would out-bid us on the homes we could afford, and we were getting priced out of shacks without roofs on the market. My wife saw an advertisement for Lennar specifically stating that if you thought you couldn't afford a home, to try them. We had low expectations, reality having cured us of those, but reached out anyway. In just a couple of months we were moving into our brand new first home. We're so dizzy and stunned over how quick and easy it went, it's easy to just gloss over how great Lennar was every step of the way. You're gently guided through the process, never pressured, and they work patiently with you every step of the way. I cannot begin to sing their praises enough. ... More

We had many discussions about the floor not being level because of flooring joist that were over cut and not supported properly. We have kitchen cabinets that don’t work and after submitting repair order they show up with no parts and say put another request in. Main bathroom above garage is not insulated. Huge temperature difference between the first floor and second. All concerns that were pointed out during construction and after with no corrective actions planned.

I could never receive an immediate answer on any issue, every reply took anywhere from 3 - 14 days. Every concern regarding the build of my home was either disregarded or denied. 3rd Party walk-through was never performed as promised. 90% of blue tape items noted as deficient were not completed and then bent over a barrel to sign-off and close or incur fees. If given a choice, I would never deal with LENNAR again, but I don't think that any other builder in this current climate would be any different or better. Things got so bad that I tried to get out of my Celebration Walk and couldn't because it was a condition of closing. Most awkward closing ever! Didn't say a word all day, had my real estate agent deal with the LENNAR staff, signed off, and then threw everybody out of my house. Would never go through this process again! Feel dismissed, frustrated, I have issues that I now have to address personally out of my pocket, and ignored. LENNAR assumes responsibility for nothing after they have your down-payment. Bad overall attitude from all construction team. Very rude and intimidating at times I felt I was about to get into a physical fight with this construction and Lennar customer service team. They were very dishonest. This is my second Lennar home and did not even compare to the great experience I received the first time.
