Have difficulties with the salesman.

The process started out good, but we should have seen the red flags when the Lennar real estate agent Marnie ignored our agent during the process. She also confirmed to us that we would receive a sprinkler system as we stood in the model home which had them. We found out right before closing that they were not included!!! The celebration walk wasn't anything close to being a celebration. When I asked about the hole in the side of the tub that the Lennar manager, Chris tried not to acknowledge, the response was, "oh, we can get that fixed!" After moving in, we were made aware by our neighbors that we did not get the spotlight that the other houses did. We also noticed that the trimming that was supposed to be on the house was not there! No mirror was provided for the powder room.During one of our random checks on the progress we found an empty beer bottle in our bathroom drawers... I could go on and on, but I'm not. Clearly the workmanship was poor! Thanks to representative that was assigned to us for any issues after the building process, Colby! He's the best they have! He's responsive, quick, and addresses our concerns the first time! If it wasn't for him Lennar world have 1 star and that would be due to the fact that I had rate it! ... More

Lennar forced us to close during a hurricane. The home wasn’t finished and their own punch lists were not completed. Rush rush rush to meet theor month end quota.

Lennar Team is wonderful! From looking at homes to purchasing and finally moving was a smooth transition, cant thank Linda, Joe, Jason, Brian and Luis enough, we love our new home!

Incomplete. No follow up. This is a joke. Recommend- going back to basics keep the brand, ALIVE!

My husband and I have purchased three brand-new homes in the past 35 years. This experience was by far the worst experience. From poor responsiveness by the sales team to the construction team to the customer care team, it's incredible to me that Lennar can survive. That said, we are in our home and love it. We are looking forward to being out of the warranty period in ten months. It seemed as though we had to and continue to have to pull teeth to get responses or items taken care of. The item of most frustration to us is the customer care department head in Colorado. We are speechless at how he has treated us and how Lennar allows it to keep happening. ... More

All in all good experience

I hired my own inspector prior to buying my home and they found a leak in the evaporator coil in the HVAC. The air coming from the vents was 67 degrees - cool, but not what it should be. Our AC never caught up in the summer and regardless of setpoint, never dropped below 76 inside. I notifed Lennar and they sent some contractor at 5pm who refused to look inside the unit in the attic. I had to hire MY own HVAC company to get a 2nd opinion. Low Nd behold, a massive leak in the evaporator coil. They never fixed it! When I spoke to our account rep, Jessica, she was very unempathtic and kept telling me it's hot outside. That's customer service? Really poor. Chris, her supervisor, also argued with me that it was hot outside but did agree to send the contractor above who proved to be useless. Long story short, and several weeks of arguing with Lennar, I had to show them the videos and report from the company I hired for them to realize I was telling the truth. Lennar does not want to help you. They leave you a phone number under your kitchen sink, and when you call it, they tell you to call your customer care rep. I asked the women on the phone the purpose of this number if she was just going to tell me to call someone else. After our evaporator coil was replaced in the HVAC, the temperature coming from the vents is 56 degrees. You should not be arguing with your home buyers on a new build and force them to PAY someone else for a second opinion. Really disappointed in the service I've received and concered if I have future issues. I have even recommend a friend, Jade, on the same street to buy here. I will no longer be refering anyone else. Also, I have been sent a docusign weeks ago with no explanation as to what it is or why my signature is needed. They just send you documents and expect you to sign. Joe our sales person was awesome. The building supervisor worked hard. We did run into a few issues that needed addressed, we are not happy at all on how the rock was cemented up to the vinyl on front of the house. It looks like crap and will need repaired soon.We run into issues that concerns us on the seal plate on the right side of the house. Also we’re disappointed with our driveway having to shift to avoid a manway.

I’m not happy that I can hear my neighbors through the walls of my townhome. It’s like I’m living my college apartment again. I can hear foot steps, things hit floors, doors closing etc. This tells me that my townhome was either not properly insulated or cheap quality insulation was used. I’ve lived in multiple townhomes, and never had any issues like this. I’m not happy.

We've been loving the home so far. There are a few things that have been needing to get fixed but it's been helpful putting in service requests. The repairs haven't been the fastest, but overall we're happy

We spent a lot of money for builder grade finishings like a can light in the foyer and bedrooms, no mirrors in the bathrooms, no towel bars or shower rods at all. We couldn’t know because there was no model for our home. The walls are wavy, the corners are all crooked, the master bedroom door wouldn’t stay closed because the lock was not aligned. The closing was over one month late costing us $2500 in rent which they refused to compensate. The microwave was unlevel and had to be fixed three times. The plans were not run by the town causing major trash can pickup issues which we were assured before closing would be fixed by the town buying a smaller garbage truck. We were told if we didn’t water the new sod and it died, they wouldn’t replace it even though much of our yard is considered community common area. They said the amenities would be done in 2024 but now it’s 2025. We have to go to the edge of the current buildings with no parking or turn around for our mail dodging mud, dumpsters, trucks, and we counted 25 nails in the road. I consider my Lennar home good value for money and very functional. I like the layout of the Bonita model and the location near Mt. Dora is real plus. The support personnel worked to resolve any final building issues, but too many individuals were involved in the process and the closing date kept changing making it difficult to plan.

Easy to do the virtual closing.

Overall, Lennar builds a decent house. However, as I’ve now learned, local workers impact the quality of the final build and buying experience a great deal. My first Lennar home was immaculate at closing. This new one was not complete, had a long list of things to finish or redo, and very dirty. Since closing Lennar has made some effort, albeit very disjointed and longer than it should be, to take of the issues. There were a number of problems in the buying process that led to delays in closing. In the three times this occurred, we were not informed until the very last minute and without sufficient transparency by sales and construction. The “everything’s included” slogan still holds true but the quality of what you get is way less than my first home. Appliances are the cheapest GE models vs the higher end models I had previously. Lennar’s financing group, on the other hand, was very responsive and prompt. In the end, we have made the new house home, but it requires a lot more personal effort than it should have. I may have had expectations set by my first experience that could not be met by the second, but I think they can and should do better by their buyers. ... More

Our initial encounter with an agent was good, stayed on top of things communicated well with us. It was by happenstance that we learned that our agent quit and it was obvious the replacement was less than thrilled to take over our sale. I now understand this agent has been less than supportive of other clients whom was their first point of contact rather than an inherited client. Finger pointing and zero accountability for jobs not done in a timely manner or of good quality was chronic. Value.... appliances were at entry level and with the investment would have liked better quality. 2 weeks into our home we purchased a new dishwasher. Went to pull out the unit and all pieces are plastic and no insullation.... with a house full of tile.... no surprise the noise was horrible when it ran. Sad to have to spend additional money to get what I feel should have been better quality up front. Communication between agent, lender, title company and site manager between each other was lacking in serious way. To find out the closing was bumped by an email rather than any representative from lennar is unprofessional. Especially when the emailed communication was not sent to us until late afternoon and people had already left for the day. Too much oversight and as more and more houses go up in the rate they are, there will likely be many more issues for future buyers if this doesn't get under control. This is not our first lennar home. We knew what to expect on some of the warranty stuff but we were not prepared for the treatment we got from our 2nd agent and the lack of accuracy of why delays were caused to move closing dates. If there are too many jobs for one manager to adequately cover, hire more people. We like our house. We love location. We are okay.... just disappointed with the building process this time. At this time it would be challenging to recommend lennar. I'm fortunate to have a husband that is handy in construction so immediate fixes that needed to happen he did.... couldn't afford to wait weeks as it related to irrigation and leaking sprinkler heads and valves that were brought to the attention prior to closing. Still waiting for sod replacement. Had they waited to place the landscaping AFTER the water meter was hooked up it would have prevented the grass from dying before we even closed. All of which we were promised would be resolved. Rest of the walk thru work has been completed aside from one thing. So I do appreciate that Again, we believed we went into the purchase with our eyes open but was not anticipating the challenges we were met with. I hope this review is met with the intent I meant. Lennar did not stand with there name to provide the quality. With Lennar I aspected to provide quality workmanship.

My entire home buying experience was fantastic. Every member of the Lennar team, from sales to construction was responsive and proactive. The homes are beautiful with really well designed floor plan. I like that some high end options are standard, like granite countertops, faucets, etc. This was by far my easiest home buying experience.

Purchased a new home in September. Everything went smoothy. Overall I would recommend Lennar. I must say getting in touch with some of the people was a challenge. They ask you to go on line and get the information you need. Too many emails not enough personal attention, even though my Sales Agent George was great.

Original price of this house was 433 but changed by Seles person to 456,390 and said it was website glitch and somehow convince our realter as well and threat me if I don't promise to buy then she'll send to other Indian how will pay on cash, this house was sold 2 different people earlier and fraud with them and sell it to me. after I purchased this townhome, i was promised to get security system with Eero router, but I didn't get that and when i asked them they salesperson said we no longer providing anyone but i can see all other new homeowner still getting them, didn't get celling fan and blinds but others are getting them. ...
