I still had items that were not taken care of

I've been extremely satisfied with my new house. Just needed a few minor adjustments as with any new building. Otherwise it's a very sound structure and I love it. I'd do it all over again. Thanks everyone.

only issue we have is our front door. There were many attempts made to repair. They said they will need to replace the entire door and frame. trying to schedule when we go down, but it is difficult.

The sales and introductory individuals are first rate. Challenges lie in the fact that issues post acceptance of the home are allowed to fester not to any desire of the staff but their ability to harness the follow through of the subs necessary yo not only continue on with the scheduling needs but handle the details to finish. Yes I’m happy. Yes, I’d do it again. Yes, expect issues. Yes, expect delays to resolving those issues. Know they are doing their best. What can you do. It is what it is, a nearly fully satisfied customer.

We have had some unexpected and disappointing surprises. Our basement has been leaking water for two weeks or more now. This is a big deal to us. We are not so confident in the recommended solutions. We still do not have internet due to the builder hook up not in place yet. Its been over a month without internet. Its costing us more money to hook up to our phone.

Throughout the whole process of looking at homes to closing, there were lots of helpful people involved. Matt, our sales guy, Tim who did our orientation and walkthrough, Cheryl our loan application manager, plus a number of other people provided support at every step.

I feel that our home was rushed to make a closing date. The sod was not yet rooted. In comparison to the rest of the homes in the neighborhood there were very few shrubs planted. The tree in the front will probably have to be replaced. There are door hinges that don’t appear to be properly installed and so on.

Be sure to ask lots of questions. Make a list of items to be addressed. Be patient. Lots of paperwork.

For the price paid for the home I think that there’s some issues that could be paid attention to. Like the sheet rocking in the garage very tacky at the bottom. It looks very very tacky and I would like that resolvef but I have not paid attention to it getting it done. Mostly the finish work in the garage. It’s just like I said bad. Also, I’m wondering why there isn’t framing around the windows to make it look a little bit nicer to match the doors etc.. I know it’s extra funds but I felt you took the cheap way out in doing that. One last major thing is that the wood used in the fencing is so so cheap like the cheapest you can get and then, so you know, it’s not going to last very long at all. I would rather have paid more and had a better quality fence done. However, like I said, the folks have been really really nice and attentive. I think this other stuff is a Lennar problem ... More

We love the area and the home. However, the communication was atrocious. It got to the point where it would take up to two weeks to get a response, and at times we never got an answer to questions we had. Come on Lennar you have to do better than this.

I will start by saying I was looking forward to a great new construction buying experience, especially since my wife spoke highly of them based on her prior experiences with Lennar. She had attended Lennar's informational open houses for brokers over the years, received their sales materials, and heard verbal promises, which were also documented in print. This positive anticipation made the subsequent disappointments and shortcomings even more disheartening. The entire purchasing process was deeply flawed. Despite having an attorney designated to receive correspondence, the sales office ignored this crucial detail. Communication regarding issues was virtually non-existent, and any attempts to rectify them were made at the last minute after our agent relentlessly pursued the matter with the buyer. They repeatedly denied any issues with drainage, even though neighboring properties faced similar problems. Those neighbors filed complaints, and their issues were resolved, but we were left without any response. This glaring disconnect in communication and disregard for our attorney handling the closing was evident. The client continually received a request to resign a contract after we were out of attorney review, and after the agent advised the sales office, they still ignored the buyer's request to send all correspondence to their attorney, since they were out of state and had hired an attorney to handle the closing. The drainage problems even forced us to pay extra to extend our rate and delayed the closing. To make matters worse, the issues with the house, including sprinklers hitting the property and not functioning, were never addressed. It became apparent that they only acknowledged our concerns after we took possession of the home. The actual closing was a frosty, unprofessional affair. We were ushered into a room without a warm welcome, no customer service courtesy, not even an offer of water. No congratulations or any show of appreciation. This was, without a doubt, the worst experience in my wife's 20 years of dealing with real estate closings. She had never encountered such issues with closings and communication. She shudders to think how another client might have felt. As an agent, she feels the need to prepare future clients for the Lennar disconnect and plans to bring her own coffee and water to a Lennar closing, even though they had a full kitchen and coffee center they walked us by. It was an experience that felt incredibly cold and unprofessional. Even during the closing, there was a lack of a Lennar representative. It's unclear where the ball was dropped, especially considering Lennar had set the closing date and claimed time was of the essence. We were ready to close on time from day one, but the house was not. We closed with a broken glass window, and the most perplexing part is that they didn't even provide a fire extinguisher in the home, despite having a Certificate of Occupancy issued. Do I at least get a fire extinguisher? The workers couldn't be blamed for the issues I requested to be fixed inside; they were done well, and the glass was eventually replaced, albeit with some delay due to back orders that were beyond their control. Lennar falsely advertised various features, like the 200-amp service, which turned out to be only 100 amps. They also claimed soft-close cabinet doors and a stone elevation that wasn't as promised in all their materials and paid for as a premium elevation site. It was an unprofessional experience all around. The construction head was the only one who made any significant efforts to address our concerns, and he deserves five stars for his dedication. Regrettably, no one else at Lennar seemed to care enough to rectify the false advertising. After moving in, I was finally able to get the sprinklers fixed. It's too soon to comment on the quality and workmanship; only time will tell. What's particularly concerning is that they did not allow a buyer's inspection prior to closing or during the attorney review, which will undoubtedly make everyone leery in the future. ... More

My experience was not the best. I loved my seller Rebecca and the builder Kent. They really are fantastic people. They were very responsive to issues and would get them fixed quickly. However, the lender side of Lennar was a nightmare. Larry and his team did not communicate well with each other or with my realtor. Actually, we were several months in before they actively included my realtor; which in turn made my experience more difficult and frustrating as a first time homebuyer. The right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. I was given bad and inaccurate information and was made to resend info that I had submitted multiple times already in the portal. I would get info from one person saying everything was good and in a matter of minutes I would have another person saying all in going to hell. Nerve racking and frustrating is an understatement. ... Great and nice people to interact to as professionals

Working with Lennar was Amazing we had an excellent experience. They made the home buying process so easy and we are so happy with our new home. I am glad we decided to move forward I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.

Great service and fast.

Purchase experience was ok. Lots in fine print on paperwork not discussed. Many visits here during construction and there is virtually no follow up on issues. Many were not addressed until after closing and our home wasnt even cleaned. Common areas are a mess and hoping a service ticket helps that. Cabinets needed full adjustment after closing. Walls not straight. Would not have bought this home if we knew then what we know how. Sorry

Don’t make the same mistake as I did go with a different builder.

Good location but not prices

We lived out of state and was bought the house site unseen. When we contacted lennar we had a salesman contact us. He was pretty good at keeping in contact until the closing. There were a few issues that had to be addressed, however, most were taken care of before the closing. The fact that we cannot get prints to the house is a little irritating considering if we need to do any upgrading or remodeling, we don’t know where anything is running in the home. We understand the prints are property of lennar, but the prints could be stamped and given to the owners. Steve, our construction supervisor has been absolutely amazing. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable with everything. It would have been nice to see that there were actually houses going to be built behind us before we put the down payment down. We would have chosen another lot. We also had to go to another builders website to see the community space that is behind built, so that may want to be updated on Lennar’s website. ... More

Very professional and responsive to buyers.

I cannot say enough good things about our Sales rep Jennifer B. and our Construction Site Manager Andrew ! Both went above and beyond for us to make our purchasing Experian Che the best! The only down side was dealing with Lennar mortgage. They were horrible to deal with and made stress for us every step of the way. Never use Lennar Mortgage. If it wasn’t for the great treatment from Jennifer and Andrew we would have cancelled the contract and looked elsewhere.

Angeline 55+ Community has the worst contractor follow ups. We closed on our home August 30, 2023 during the hurricane, therefore we were unable to do the final walk thru none of the items were fixed and they still are not fixed, we keep getting promises but nothing happens. The internet is the worst!!! I have little or no service in the house, they put the box in the furthest point in the home and it delivers a very weak signal. I have talked to customer service and they say there is nothing they can do for us it's the internet provider but Lennar provided an extended to other residents of the community at no charge but they told me that that is not offered anymore and it didn't come with our package!! Package??? we did not know it was an option, nor did we know that the internet would be a problem. Because of the lack of weak internet, our ring doesn't even protect our home! I work out of my home and rely on the internet! We will never purchase a home from Lennar again! ... More

Make sure you get everything fixed before you buy and sign that dotted line. also, give it all a really good look and get your own professional to review your house. quality of certain materials like doors very cheap and can hear everything from room to room in through the wall, and every foot step in house.
