We were pleased with the whole closing process - nothing too difficult. As we were moving in, little things needed attention. Refrigerator water line was not hooked up. After a few days, it was taken care of. The dishwasher rinse box was cracked and needed to be replaced. That was taken care of within a few days after the second repairman took care of it. Our first week here, we inquired about garbage cans and recycling bins. That still has not been resolved 3 weeks after asking for help. Our garage door opener was dangling. That was repaired within a day or two. We never received ...

Good & not so good

People from sales to walk -throughs were very nice. Within 1 month we’re seeing finishing work that is disappointing such as multiple caulking cracks that was used to fill in gaps around moldings in kitchen, bathrooms, up stairway, windows, around floors & doors. We saw some at pre walk- through that I guess fresh application of the same stuff was used; We’re making a list for our 1 year but will not want a repeat application that will end up the same. Bedroom carpet feels like no padding was used. Garage & storage room drywall taping & finishing job: - we’ve spent thousands & days of work ...

My experience was okay with Lennar. My biggest let down with the buying process was the closing. I closed online but when I came to get the keys to my home no one was there to greet me or thank or congratulate me. They just handed me a dirty envelope with keys in it. Such a let down after making such a huge purchase and it being my first time. I did express my disappointment but no one seemed to care after the paperwork was signed. As far as the home itself, there have been a few issues. Not big issues, but being a brand new home I didn't expect this many issues one month into my new ...

New Home Purchase

The purchasing experience was good and up to standards, however I feel like the home falls short. Several problems with the trades that were hired to build the house. We had several problems with the breaker tripping, stove wasn’t connected to electricity properly, roofer is not a company the builder uses. Builder contacted a company in Denver that just hires whoever to do the roof, so when information was needed on the roof for insurance purposes, no one was able to be contacted about it. I love the layout of the house, the physical lot, but as far as construction, I wouldn’t buy another ...

It took four visits to get a plumbing problem fixed. It took over a month to get a broken window replaced that started cracking the first cold day we had. We had an electrical issue. Everything was fixed but it took a lot of time. Drywall mud splashed all over the steps going up the stairs over the garage and in the floor upstairs. Over all happy with the home.

Only been in Brunswick County, NC for a few months. I can not give opinions on build yet when it comes to materials/craftsmanship as I just moved in 3 mos ago. If it stays like this, I'll be very happy. Any small issues we've had, Lennar handled promptly and to our satisfaction. So far very happy. I do believe the price was a bit high but, we wanted the location

Smooth Mortgage Process, but Finish Quality Lacks Detail

The mortgage process itself was incredibly smooth and definitely a 5-star experience; the team made that part very easy. However, regarding the house quality, I have mixed feelings. While the home is decent overall, the workmanship is "good" when it could have been great. For a home price of over $500k, I expected much more attention to detail, specifically in the bathrooms and kitchen. We noticed that the tiles are not level in some areas, and the grout and caulking work could be significantly better. Overall, it is an okay home, but not something to brag about. I don't feel it is fully ...

Lennar Homes are a great value for the price however be sure to get everything corrected prior to closing. Matt at closing is great but be firm and cordial with your request to fix whatever the issue maybe with the home prior to heading to your closing in B’ham, AL. I was truly amazed at how simple the home purchase was with Lennar. I love my new home just wish that I had a bit more yard space in the backyard. The homes are way too close together.

After walk thru and sign off, part of driveway was removed and replaced, cement was very dark gray, was told it would lighten as it cured, 2 months later, lightened a little but looks terrible, also at walk walk thru noticed a lot of ants, it got worse every day, purchased a lot of products, and contracted pest control company , reported to Lennar several times, asked for assistance for a few weeks while unoccupied, I was brushed off, now after a few months noticing a lot of little issues, stains and paint on carpet and tiles, windows dirty, etc etc, just not move in ready in my opinion.

To improve it would be nice to offer an upgrade in paint. What was used is cheap and feels like sand paper. Already have the whole down stairs re-painted. None of the light switches match up and we had to install a lot of lights which was shocking. We have many light switches that operate nothing that we can tell. No ceiling fans at all. Would also have been nice to add blinds or at least have the option to pay for them in the house purchase. Another expense to get this completed.

Here is the 2 problems : 1. Awful backyard. No normal level of ground from house to backyard. Moisture are always here. No special adhesive material under the mulch . That’s why all neighbors have a lot of white fungus into the mulch and a lot of insects which grows from the organic wet and fungus material because of no material was laid on the ground. Now we have a lot of problems with flies and fungus. So now we need to get rid of all mulch and rebuild a normal level of ground. 2. Awful cabinets qualify. The material is like a paper. Very fragile and sensitive. I think in 1 year the ...

I just wanted to say that Jessica our New home consultant was great. She was very responsive, knowledgeable, professional and proactive. We absolutely love how she handled our process.. Jessica is the reason why we are in our home today, kind and on top of her game. Now other the other Christina the loan officer was horrible, she stop responding, would say she’d call us back or follow up but never did. She made buying a home beyond stressful, if you ever see her as your loan officer run .

Make sure you pay attention when doing your blue tape walk. They were supposed to fix some things in my house with tape on them and never did. Just pulled the tape off and never fixed. So go through the entire house again to make sure they are fixed before you close

Craftsmanship is definitely rushed. But to be expected in cookie cutter homes. Some corners were cut on some details but for the most part happy. Not thrilled when Lennar sold my mortgage they didn't inform me of this. I had to do some investigating myself.
