Once you close, your team (builder)do not respond to issues arising since moving in. You will be on your own. This is very bad business.

Lily from Lennar Mortgage was absolutely wonderful. Jacob was also amazing. Unfortunately everyone else we dealt with made us feel rushed or unimportant. We love the house, which made up for our encounter or lack thereof. The home buying process was relatively smooth with a few to no issues.

When I met Kenneth for the final walk through he was amazing, very helpful. We even offered to help unload my moving truck if I needed help and gave me his personal number. After that absolutely no contact! I have texts from Oct 15 till today that he still can’t reply or call back. I needed some questions answered and he was nowhere to be found. It’s a beautiful home and everything put he does paint a pretty picture for you, after that you can forget about any help. You’re on your own trying to figure things out. Thank God for nice neighbors, I had to ask them for help.

First, the master bath counter was cracked. They came out to replace it but then they caused a leak under the sink. They came out again, and it was still leaking. Had to ask my plumbing friend to repair. Then they never explain that the water heater needs to be in a different mode during the wintertime. We took a cold shower because there wasn't enough hot water. We came back from our overseas vacation and the kids had a cough and cold but the heater didn't work. The reason we chose Lennar is the next gen home plan.There was a frequent turnover of who is responsible and what papers are needed that could make you give up. I feel that we have a new person every time we call, one would say we need this the other would say we don’t. From the pouring of the foundation to the framing of the walls to the walls being put in I was here. I was constantly asking for the walk-in shower that I needed and never got. It was a need. Necessary for my wellbeing.You were more concerned about the quota than the welfare of someone health.

This was my first time going through this process. I worried about everything, was skeptical, I questioned everything about providing so much information and I was stressed. The house was not completed on the date it was first offered. Other houses next to us were started after ours and completed before ours while ours stood vacant without any workers for days. The quality of numerous items is subpar. The paint is very low quality and the attention to detail is very low. Not the quality of a professional painter. We moved in only to find the plumbing blocked up by the cleaning crews cloths. While in general the home construction quality is satisfactory, there a few items which could be attended to. 1. Better shower heads in both bathrooms 2. Master Bathroom size could be increased by making the "walk-in" closet a bit smaller. 3. Screen doors at front and rear could be an added cost option. 4. Also, buyers should have option for hard flooring in place of carpeting in some rooms, with added cost. 5. Lack of door bell is annoying

Easy process - still can’t believe the light switches

sales process was easy, people were good. Did get response and fix on one issue I didn’t like - but honestly cannot believe they build houses with light switches random distances from the doors. Some literally touching the door frame, some 2 feet away.

Overall, my experience purchasing a new home was mixed but ultimately satisfactory given the value. Home buying experience went smoothly. Jaqueline was very responsive to our questions and concerns. Dave was very responsive with remedying 'punch list' items. We still have issues with our sod though and am awaiting a resolution. As a lifelong plumbing engineer I am particularly sensitive to the quality of plumbing fixtures and feel that the installed fixtures could have been of higher quality. An issue that I find annoying is the amount of time it takes hot water to get to the faucets. (35 seconds for the kitchen faucet). Other than these issues we are very happy with our new home.
