So my home did not come with a garage door opener, so I had one professionally installed so now I am told since 'Lennar' did not install it my garage door is no longer under warranty. FYI, before I moved in it has a 'catch' about halfway up they said they fixed, but they did not...and now well my door is no longer under warranty so I guess it is my problem now

The buying process was very quick.

Lennar has beautiful homes and a state of the earth workmanship. New homes are equipped with energy efficient appliances and home finishing is a plus. Realtors and other teams are great. The team need to work more on closing day preparation and preparation homebuyers on penalties in advance. Otherwise Lennar homes are the best to invest and live in.

The home buying process with Lennar has been an overall success. My family and would say there were som ups and down from inception. We do understand nothing is perfect. Communication during underwriting could have been somewhat better but once again we do know that this is a process that includes many persons and parts to complete. I do believe the finished product could have been of better quality. From a cost perspective, the sub contractors should pay more attention to quality control verses quantity production. This will benefit Lennar through the warrantee and punch out time period as well as the customers having to potentially complete repairs or changes on their own. Love my new home! Absolutely adore it. I have not had the greatest experience with the salesman after I had signed the day of and put my deposit down. The QA guys were great. But they did say that my house would be cleaned before i moved in and sadly it was dirtier than it was the last time i saw it before it was officially mine. Found footprints and fast food napkins in a bedroom. The attic was left open with the light on. I have tried contacting my salesman (since he is the closest) about a few things and received nothing in return. One warranty guy was helpful on the AC problem I had (my home sat on the market for a bit and so throughout inspections and such the Freon went low, i get it, no biggie) but i had a problem with the dishwasher leaking and he said nope we can’t help with that that’s a GE problem, but come to find out it was due to the way it was setting in the spot and it was a simple fix. Other than that, it is a beautiful home and very energy efficient. I’m very happy with my purchase. To note: the financial side was little better but a few people did not answer back as quickly as they expected me to. I had to follow up a few times before i got an answer. Plus closing was incredibly easy, but when i had questions about closing i had to ask family because i didn’t get answers from the company on either side, sales or financial. ... More

The houses were put up too fast and there was a lot of mistakes that lennar made in our house . I had a wonderful project manager that was on top of getting most of them done to this point. Some others were not as lucky as we were with our project manager .

Nice house with great materials, however we missed in the living room one eletric spot instead of a sprinkle.

Price is good, but there is little attention to finishing. There are many doors poorly cut and painted. There is a generalized rush to close even if the details haven’t been fixed. And when asked for support on warranties, Lennar reps do not respond promptly

We have had some unexpected and disappointing surprises. Our basement has been leaking water for two weeks or more now. This is a big deal to us. We are not so confident in the recommended solutions. We still do not have internet due to the builder hook up not in place yet. Its been over a month without internet. Its costing us more money to hook up to our phone.

We lived out of state and was bought the house site unseen. When we contacted lennar we had a salesman contact us. He was pretty good at keeping in contact until the closing. There were a few issues that had to be addressed, however, most were taken care of before the closing. The fact that we cannot get prints to the house is a little irritating considering if we need to do any upgrading or remodeling, we don’t know where anything is running in the home. We understand the prints are property of lennar, but the prints could be stamped and given to the owners. Steve, our construction supervisor has been absolutely amazing. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable with everything. It would have been nice to see that there were actually houses going to be built behind us before we put the down payment down. We would have chosen another lot. We also had to go to another builders website to see the community space that is behind built, so that may want to be updated on Lennar’s website. ... More

The Lennar staff are great. The workmanship I see after being here is disappointing. My 60 day list has over 20 items that need to be looked at. Some should have been done before closing.

Overall, it was a positive experience leading up to closing; however, closing day was a mess. My loan officer (Dawn) was incredibly communicative and helpful, but I cannot say the same for my loan processor. My loan processor did not communicate clearly with me or the rest of the team, leading us to believe that I would not be closing as scheduled. I was scheduled to close in the afternoon, but I did not close until around 5 PM, disrupting my entire workday. When I reached out the night before closing to ensure that everything was in order, I was told that there were no issues. The builder tried to be as helpful as possible, but he wasn't incredibly familiar with my property during the final walk through. He had also not been sent the full inspection report from the Lennar real estate agent, which led to some confusion. My largest challenge has been post-closing. The Lennar representative assisting with my 30-day check-in has been hard to reach. She missed our first meeting (that she had scheduled) without a call or notice. I had to call 3-4 times to get an answer 40 minute after our scheduled meeting. She had forgotten and was not apologetic. We rescheduled, and when I reached out to confirm the night before this meeting, she said she'd try to be on time but had another meeting right before mine and would try to be only 10-15 minutes late to mine. It really should have been a phone call. I am planning to reach out because I have still not heard anything about my repairs over a week later. ... More

The home buying process was fine; wish the price was lower than we paid. I feel that the house was built too quickly, we’ve since found some issues with one outlet, painting, and the carpet and padding feels cheap. This was a spec house so we had no say or choice in what was put on the house or included in the house.

Did a poor job at landscaping, sod was not put down properly and was dead in quite a few places.

Sloppy work. Paint drops prevalent throughout home. Appliances included were very low quality.

Overall the process was pretty good, and we were given detailed walk-throughs to identify any issues, which they took care of. We were disappointed that the closing took two weeks longer than expected, but that seems to have been due to city issues not in Lennar's control. Overall we are happy with the final product.

Love the area and the representatives were friendly. Biggest issue we had was that even though we were purchasing at the frame stage NOTHING could be changed. Cabinet colors, electrical outlets and structured internet cabling could not be changed or added... even when we agreed to pay additional fees. A little flexibility would have gone a long way to getting this closer to a five star review.

Love the condo. Lennar should notify buyers they took away the crown molding, the shower bars, less ceiling lights. Communication on cut backs should be communicated.

We love our new home, but there are some issues. The most annoying is the lack of gutters on the home. I’m from an era where homes came with rain gutters, so when inspecting the home during the walkthroughs we asked about their lack and were given an explanation of how the new home roofs were built to divert rain water and told we could have gutters installed if we wished. Didn’t think it would be a problem due to the explanation. Of course neither of the walkthroughs was performed in the rain so we excepted what we were told. After the first rain we discovered the roof’s design diverted the rain alright, right in front of the front door. So, now whenever it rains we have a mini waterfall cascading directly onto the main walkway leading to our front door that has to be dodged when entering from the front of the house. When informed about it, and questioned about the ‘roof design’ we were told there was nothing that could be done and our only option was to have gutters installed. Thanks for nothing. What’s going on? Do they have a kickback agreement with the gutter installers? And when did homes start being built without rain gutters? Do better Lennar. ... More

Lennar does some things very well. Others...not so much. The attention to detail in our house was poor. Incomplete items (no power ot the ignitor in the outdoor kitchen), missing downspout, Bathroom light badly off center, missing screw on switch nameplate. Not huge things, but a lot of them. This is just a sampling. We also came from a custom home builder in Pennsylvania who builds a VERY high quality house. They only build about 6 houses a year. Their attention to detail was outstanding. Having said that....we got A LOT of house for the price. We love the neighborhood ambience. The landscaping. The layout. The lakes. To automated---what is wrong with simply talking to your customer. Sales agents have attitude that they know ALL....they need education as to what is really going on with the construction instead of saying/telling customer things that are UNtrue

Nothing to say that is real positive.

I would like to start from the beginning, our sales person Holly was inadequate, couldn't get answers to our questions and wouldn't go to her superior to get answers. Then our construction manager Kevin came aboard this is where questions got answered. Kevin is the biggest asset to the Lennar Team without him I probably wouldn't have purchased this home, he made the purchase effortless.

Hardware in use were good quality, however the contractors Lennar used need more training w/o any doubt
