A constant battle from start to finish with things broken after the fact. Terrible customer service. Lies from the entire team. Rude sales men. With the experience I had I would never recommend a lenar home to my friends or family. My first home buying experience was ruined by y’all’s team with the exception of two people. Terrible & very shameful

From start to finish, nothing but the best! First time home buyer, 2 small hiccups but resolved without a hitch! My Home Advisor & Loan Officers, my Production Mgr, my Inspector, my Realtor and all those in between & at Closing, Thank you so much Team Lennar!! You Rock!!

I have used Lennar as my builder of my last 2 homes. Each time has been a predictable and satisfying experience. Production Manager is extremely helpful and responsive as were the whole team.

Though we like our new home and neighbors, we live in a major construction area with dozens of Lennar homes in various stages of construction. We knew at time of purchase that there would be 4-5 months of additional construction, but we had no idea that street in front of our home would serve as a staging area for various parts of the building process w. the accompanying dangerous construction traffic, diesel fumes, noise, placement of materials, equipment, landscaping gravel, etc. all right in front of our house with little concern about the effects on residents living there. Had we known the full extent of disruption and potential safety concerns, we would have not purchased here. Yes it is time limited but Lennar could do way more to shield current residents from the above. ... More

Ask lots of questions

It was a great experience from start to finish. Everyone took their time and taught me the new process of docu signing and emails ever since covid changed everything. They were all very patient with everything because l was going through a divorce at the same time. Everything had to fall into place and coinside as l was going through my proceedings. It took me three different attempts before l was able to lock in a lot as there were hurdles l had to over come with timing issues of my divorce. No one gave up as we were all determined to get me in a Lennar Home. It took a special group of people to make this happen. They cared enough to be like my own support group. The promotional incentive amount was changed drastically at closing which made me feel misled. The loan process was also stressful. Aside that everyone was nice, helpful and my loan officer handled road bumps professionally but that incentive amount made it a bitter sweet experience.

The entire process was very manageable. Everyone involved was very friendly and caring.

The financing part of purchasing and closing was very smooth. My loan officer always answered the phone when I called and was efficient. My CSR that conducted the Home walkthrough was fantastic and got all my concerns addressed. The only feedback I have is some quality of the workmanship could be improved. It appears some aspects were rushed to completion which caused a lot of rework and/or repairs. Not sure if they have it, but quality checks and reviews throughout the build process (such as plumbing), and before a client walkthrough (painting, trim, fixtures, etc.) would avoid so much re-work and back and forth. With that being said, everything was swiftly addressed, it just resulted in more of my time taken. The only thing that inconvenienced me was I only got 20% of grass in my back yard. I would love to give a stellar review and I will say the majority of people I worked with from Lennar were great. From Lennar Mortgage to the walk throughs and everything in between, people were knowledgeable, helpful, and got back to me in a timely manner. Because I believe it’s important to give credit where credit is due, Scott with Lennar Mortgage was truly a pleasure to work with, Beth did my first walk though and was a lovely person, and Dustin did my final walk through and he was awesome! The exception to this was the selling agent on behalf of Lennar. She gave bad information several times throughout the process and made it so much more stressful/frustrating than it needed to be. It was evident she needs more training and coaching to do her job more effectively so future home buyers will have a more enjoyable and positive experience. ... More

Overall, we had a great experience purchasing our home. It is a very well developed neighborhood and great place to live.

Have to constantly badger customer care to get an issue resolved. A poor job was done to correct it as well. Sales and loan officers were great. Construction manager and care reps were terrible.

I decided to give new home buying a shot. I’ve purchased four primary homes in the last 10 years so yes I do have some experience. However new home buying with Lennar has been nothing but painful. I think their intents were right but the execution was horrible. First off, each dept doesn’t care about their peers so they just push accountability around. Second, the loan dept was the worst I’ve used ever. Didn’t really have a choice as their deal was the best for rate. But be prepared for some stupidity and lack of common sense from the underwriter to doc processing. Sales rep did his best but he was not in control. Then came the funniest part. Land division didn’t update utility company about closing timing so Lennar sold houses advertising everything connected, but without internet e nothing is unfortunately :) Frontier came and showed me an empty junction box because they were not updated by lennars land division that we are moving in. Then finally the nightmare of your address not recognized in google map. Deliveries failed and stuffs get sent to other addresses etc. if you really have time to deal with these bs or if you really want to experience a brand new house for the first time like me then by all means… ... Again, lots of money to come in to a home with a few flaws. Boss Man Contractor Jeff was awesome

Response althrough the processes was great.officials were friendly and always ready to help. Necessary things were done to make a buyer settle with ease. However I nearly missed my home because of strigent requirements by Lennar on loan. Let you loan procedures have human face.

I had a different down payment then I thought it was going to be. I was told I’d be able to get a conventional loan no problem and got fha approved at first because I applied over the weekend and after hours. I mentioned I’d be changing down payment amount by more than half after I was told I was getting a FHA instead of a conventional loan due to a 1 point difference. Sounded like it was due to a texts not being responded to. The walkthrough was moved about 4-5 times which is ok due to multiple variables. After doing the walkthrough and marking items, the person who walked through with me said she would stop back in the next day and send me pictures of everything fixed we marked. I didn’t get pictures, assume she didn’t walk through and had to get things fixed after moving in. I feel like lennar employees are under staffed and over the max in workload. Also the insurance I chose, who my representative spoke to multiple lennar employees ended up defaulting to Lennars insurance company. I never knew about the Insurance they gave me until the company I choose sent me a cancellation notice due to not being paid. They have the sale of my home, my loan and now insurance. The home itself is nice, but the title company was not helpful. Kurtis the sales guy was nice and helped as best he could. Overall, we like the property but are unsure if we would buy lennar again.

We signed in Dec with the expectation to have the keys by March. Went to the lender and got rate locks with a buffer built in so even if Lennar delays by a month to April, we will be covered. March moved to April and then to May with absolutely no reason provided, except finger pointing - the sales manager will point to construction manager, who will point to vendors who wont be around to answer why its getting delayed. Thats fine, we extended the lock and took us multiple request to get that covered by Lennar and that happened at the end and Lennar made it look like they were doing us a favor to cover that cost, though they were delaying. The final delay was the only one that had a reason and that was because someone came in and flooded the kitchen 2 weeks before ready to close! This all paled in comparison when the time to close came with Lennar Title. We have bought 2 homes in the past and by far this was the worst experience. We sent a mail 2 weeks before closing asking if we are ready. No response. During the last week of closing had to call, escalate to get any response from Title. They had scheduled closing with no property survey report until the previous night. Did not have the courtesy to notify us or the lender. The lender was freaking out that they were not getting any response from Title about the survey report. Even while signing the document I had to point out the differences in the numbers. Overall no accountability and absolutely no integrity in the whole home buying process. I am surprised Lennar is in business and considered a top builder, with this level of abysmal customer service. Its been just a month since we moved in so will reserve judgement on the quality of the house, fingers crossed its not even half bad as the buying experience. Of all the people we have interacted with so far, only our warranty manager, Brent, seems to be very competent and is responsive and feels trustworthy. ... More

We felt that the construction was rushed to finish the building and several things were left undone. We closed on May 12. It is now June 27 and we still do not have a dumpster. Brian and Chris were good at responding to our concerns and customer service Joe helped us out a lot as far as getting things fixed that should have been done in the first place. Again, the quality control that Lennar practices with the contractors is sorely lacking and needs to be improved to assure that Lennar will turn out a high quality product.
