We had a home inspection done and, as expected, a few issues were identified. Most were minor, but there was a roof issue that we were told had been repaired after the first inspection. Unfortunately, it was not, and it ultimately took three return visits before the roof was fully corrected—each time we were assured the issue had been fixed. The other items were addressed over those visits, and everything was eventually completed. Our home inspector was very persistent and continued to follow up until all repairs were properly done, which we appreciated. Overall, we felt the home was a good value compared to existing homes on the market, and the interest rate offered by the builder was better than other options we had. However, the repeated assurances that repairs were complete when they were not made the repair process frustrating and left us disappointed with that part of the experience. ... More

The community is beautiful, however the home buying process through Lennar mortgage was beyond stressful and quite difficult. Our file was passed through multiple people and it seemed if each person had us start fe the very beginning of the process. So very stressful and irritating. There was a miscommunication as to what color scheme our home would be and upon our walkthrough we were promised by a gentleman covering for Brittany that we could easily change the color. Long story short, after jumping through multiple hoops, no response from texts sent to Brittany or her boss Cathy, we were the told today, that they will not be painting the door. Basically, we got what we got. Needless to say, we are not happy with that response or the way the whole situation has been handled. We simply wanted what was promised to us on our walkthrough. I’m a first time home buyer, but in my opinion this home is not complete. It’s missing medicine cabinets, towel racks, and the garage and attic trims are unfinished (holes/gaps). The small bathroom should be tiled or at least painted with latex paint. The hot water in the shower is immediate, however the water from the sinks takes at least 1.5 minutes to heat up, which is a costly waste! Heated air from the furnace isn’t distributed evenly throughout the house. The sunroom is very hot followed by the master bedroom and little to no heat in the bathrooms! There should be permanent labels on the water and gas supply/shutoff valves! ... More

Lennar's loan process was great! I moved across country and was on a roll getting everything moved in until it started raining here. I had a serious roof leak the first night it rained hard here which was only 2 weeks of me living in my new home. My third floor hallway was soaked with water and there was a small leak in my master bathroom. Water was coming out of my smoke alarm and ac vent in the hallway. I had to pretty much stop everything and postpone all my furniture and holiday plans to deal with this. And, I am still dealing with it a month out. Lennar's warranty team has been awesome so I am grateful for that! Very nice, responsive, and helpful (Lee and Bill). You would think the roof would be the most secure thing though especially in Florida. The leak in my master bathroom is still leaking and not fixed. I am still a little skeptical if the leak on my roof was actually fixed properly or just a temporary band-aid. Some of the workers they send out do not have the best communication. Some other quality issues; front and patio doors not sealed properly, paint peeling, bad caulking, bad tile work in the bathrooms. ... More

I was so looking forward to own my brand new house from Lennar and to my disappointment I was shocked to see such a pricy home with the cheapest details such as $25 dollars faucets throughout the home, the smallest and most uncomfortable patio door, the most horrendous baseboards just to mention a few. I could have backed out from the sale during my walk through but I have already sold my home in CT, my entire life and my family was already packed up. Here I am regretting trusting Lennar as much ad did.

My overall experience with Lennar was good. There have been and still are issues regarding quality control. I have purchased a Lennar home in the past and was very happy. That is why I purchased another Lennar home. However, I am disappointed with some of the workmanship in my current home.

Wanted to buy a lennar for the lower interest rate for VA loans. But the mortgage company kept changing the requirement until the day we closed make me watch and constantly find paper work for a month. Blue tape inspection went ok they did fix at the cosmetic flaws but fixed the major ones then the sewer system back up on day 3 or being in the house lennar was quick to get it fixed but it still took a day. Having back up sewer in my house.

After we went into contract we were assigned a new home concierge to guide us through the rest of the process. She was impossible to get a hold of. Never answered the phone or returned messages. Unresponsive to texts and r-mails. We got wrong information about utility companies, wrong names wrong phone numbers. It was like pulling teeth to get info about trash pickup. We got the wrong info on mail keys. Had to ask repeatedly for the promised paint coupon. Overall the part after contract was a disaster.

Disappointed that options were not offered. My previous home buying experiences offered other additional options like gutters, sprinklers, blinds, tankless water heater, etc. Nice to have some of these items offered as additional options rather than having to run around and gather those items on my own.

Tengo dos meses con la casa (nueva), aunque me gustó el diseño, la calidad de los materiales son muy baratos, incluyendo la cocina hecha de aglomerado, en el segundo piso tuvieron que hacer reparaciones ya que caminas y el sheathing hace ruido como su fuera una casa vieja, los baños pueden verse bonitos pero aun así los acabados son de baja calidad, el motor del aire acondicionado lo colocaron cerca de la sala y hace demasiado ruido, también llega el ruido a las recámaras que estan cerca del motor, no entiendo porque lo pusieron ahi... entregan sin pintar la cochera y en la parte de atrás sin los gutters ni downspot, y los de la fachada los entregan sin conexión al desagüe, los pisos son de vinil y el Fence tendrás que ponerle laca ya que solo es madera sin protección, los andadores laterales no tienen piso solo tierra, , así que tendrás que gastar mucho en arreglar todo esto... ... Found th design house in a different development than first wanted. Multiple POA restrictions. Showed us house. Lied about being able to use Burnt store marina pool. Later told about easement which restricted pool layout. Mortgage sent multiple paper work- some sent multiple times. Had to wait 2 days to get keys after our settlement. Not a great idea to buy a lennar house in mixed community of builders. House vacant over a year. Had lots of bugs on the floors. Even blood on floor and wall. Still with problems getting onto website to report problems.

I feel it is too soon to rate the house. There has been a lot of issues with Lennar homes so we will see. I have had 2 issues so far and they did get resolved quickly. I love the area we are in and the house we chose. The approval process was a hassle. But Kimberly B in SC was amazing.

Plenty of short cuts, some of the workman ship pretty much money motivated, 3 max,for the price it's a decent deal, had to finish some of the issues by myself and not wait for the so called professional to respond, over all it wasn't as bad as someone else told me, good luck if you think it's nice in ready

Great incentives.Alex from Lennar mortgage is hard to work with. Disappointed with the second walk through. The issues were not resolved as expected. Paul from customer service is great.

We were disappointed in the quality of the cabinets and drawers. the upper cabinets cannot be opened together without creating damage. They are not deep enough by an inch and the drawers are very shallow as well. One outside hose bib is not enough. The website and final/actual inclusions are not consistent. The people were all great. It was very frustrating to have credit cards that I use for business get added to the home mortgage with my credit, debt to income ratio and 30% down. My realtor spent 3 hours on her hands and knees cleaning paint off of the floor.

Overall, the experience was not satisfactory. They are very rigid in their decisions, and nothing can be changed or modified before the closing, which is not acceptable. Even if you like a few items, there is a high chance you will not like others, yet you are forced to accept everything as it is. This makes the entire process feel like a waste of money. Additionally, they are not cooperative when it comes to correcting faulty work or mismatched items.

We were excited to purchase our new Lennar home, but a few issues made the experience far less smooth than expected. Just two days before our scheduled closing, Lennar informed us that the closing would need to be postponed for more than 30 days. This last-minute notice created a lot of stress and logistical problems that could have been avoided with proper communication. Less than one month after moving in, we experienced a flood on the first floor caused by Lennar’s workmanship. On top of that, we found a few cracks on the drywall throughout the house. While we understand that new construction can come with minor issues, the combination of these problems definitely impacted our overall experience. Everything felt very disorganized, starting with the salesperson, who was unprofessional. I always had to be the one to reach out, and even then, calls often went unanswered, or I had to leave several messages before getting a response. Another issue is that I had already paid the deposit on the closing day, yet they forgot to transfer the money to the home insurance company. I only found out when I received a cancellation notice from the insurance, and I had to keep contacting them repeatedly to push them to resolve it. This is my first home, and the whole experience left me feeling somewhat disappointed. ... More

Lennar homes are gorgeous homes and seem to be built well. Once we have been in the home for several months, we are finding more and more structural issues that were not caught by the builders nor the home inspections. While the use of the app to file the claim is effective, the timeliness of someone coming out to the house and having the issue 100% fixed is not efficient nor does it seem anyone is willing to act quickly in order for the issue to be repaired.

Overall, the process was very fast as we were in a rush to buy. Many documents were needed, and we were asked to resubmit the same documents at least 8-10 times, instead of me submitting to one portal where everything could be accessed. There were times where I felt we were not the customer in the process, and we seemed like a bother for not knowing certain processes, though we were first time buyers and could have used proper guidance. Tristyn and Shane were AMAZING. They both did their absolute best and went above and beyond to communicate well with us and be those guides during this process. The rest of the process was not that great, but Tristyn and Shane were such a help. Though I am happy with my purchase and quality of my home, I wish the process was a bit more welcoming. ... More

The home my wife and I purchased we absolutely love. It is definitely a great value and a lot thought and intention went behind the design. Solid materials are used and the only critique about the property itself would be the low quality interior paint, definetely recommend repainting the interior to a scuff resistant paint. However, the home buying process was very hectic. To get the best deal we had to sign all the contract paperwork in less than 36 hours and some of the paperwork wasn't received until a few hours before the deadline. Additionally, since Lennar is such a big company the left hand didn't seem to know what the right was doing. We were told to speak to one person for updates and then forwarded to another person. We would seek simple information and not receive an answer for a few weeks. Some questions didnt get answered until a few days before closing. To get all the closing credits from Lennar we also had only 30 days to close which made everything really hectic. The 30 days wouldn't have been as bad if we received prompt responses and were better guided through the process. On our closing day we came back to the home for the first time to see someone had left poop in one of our bathrooms. We reported it and were immediately contacted by management who did apologize and advise that the matter was being investigated. However it left a sour taste in our mouths in what was supposed to be a joyous day. ... More

Closing on the house was a nightmare. It was very unorganized. They were wanting me to close when the house had many issues.. Since closing, I’ve found many more issues and corners that were cut but the customer care rep is responsive about the things the can fix.

The closing process lacked so much communication between builder and lender; lender trying to get me to do actions that were not possible due to builder had not completed their part. In comparison between Lennar and DR Horton, to me the materials aren't much difference... price difference of $68k less and Lennar being 100sq ft more. I bought the home built as is. I do prefer Lennar's floor plans. I believe it's a good 1st home purchase based on price, construction, location and potential in value to grow in the next 5-10 years. Be sure to have a good realtor.

The counter top in the kitchen is not good quality, with the price for the house, they could put better quality for counter top in the kitchens, it’s sensitive to hot plate. Also all the bathroom are vinyl, they could make it tile with no extra cost ….. After the closing, reaching to them was hard. I got my correct mailbox key after one month.
