Nice house, but the process to close was tedious and the final build of the house was not according to the plans we were initially given.

We had a positive experience with buying our house, the sales person was responsive and knowledgeable. We used Lennar Mortgage and Lennar Title, which made our lives easier. The Mortgage Officer was very helpful in the process. Construction on the other hand was a pain. We had to document all of the issues ourselves during several walkthroughs with pictures to make sure everything gets addressed and resolved. However many of the issues were ignored multiple times. They got addressed only after we escalated them to the construction management. Construction didn't commit to the deadlines they set for themselves. Once I closed, things didn't get resolved as timely as I felt they should have. Still waiting for unresolved issues.

Our experience was very stressful and unpleasant. We are still waiting for return from Lennar for the a double trip for our inspector who could not get into the house do his part because the sales person did not provide access to the house as he promised. It was a total mess from the day we stepped into the model home utill the closing day.

The houses were sloppily put together to meet a deadline. It shouldn’t be the owners job to make sure that the construction services and trades did their job right. There should be more quality control and checking of peoples work. Finding issues every day the longer we live here

I think overall the workmanship is good quality and the walls are not so thin where you can hear everything which is great; however the most disappointing is the one car garage entry; I can barely get my car out; I have to be careful to hit the walls every time I leave and enter and it isn’t even a big vehicle. The builder should have considered and tested the garage entry and common sense would tell you to expand it a little. Also, the appliances such as the dishwasher and the oven are not the best to use, I would think we are in a new century and they would at least install better dishwashers, not the same ones from the 1990’s, also, the standard oven installed has a broiler at the very bottom of the oven separately…it’s so low it is like broiling things on the floor, that is horrible and such a hassle. ... Expect a lot of delays and a long punch list of things that need to be done prior to closing and even after.

To start off, our new home consultant was great. Once it came time to do the walk, that's where things started to go down hill. First off, walls were crooked. They stated that they have a certain tolerance, but the walls were way beyond that. They did fix the issue which delayed closing. Once you close on the home, you may as well not exist. A new home comes with a 1 year end to end warranty. I am currently in a fight with them to honor this. They have finally agreed to cover some things while still giving me problems on others. They do not seem to care if you are having issues because right now they are selling homes left and right. In order for them to consider your issue, you have to keep pestering them until it is done. Just today, I had a warranty appointment for grout repair and they were a no show. I understand the current environment and staffing issues with the pandemic, but at least let me know you aren't going to make it because I had to arrange to be home for this. We are happy to be in our new home! The community and surroundings are beautiful. There were several issues in the building process that needed immediate attention to fix. The customer is not in the loop. Our construction manager was helpful in resolving issues. The process to address home owners questions and concerns needs fixed. We will submit tickets to address our current issues. Providing home owner with touch up paint is a must. I’m bothered by paint issues every time I clean.

Quality and workmanship was not the best. It was posted as a gated community on their website but it was not. Response to issues was not the best either.

Ask a lot of questions before signing a contract.

Quality of the house is good but the quality of the flooring, appliances. cabinetry and granite where below average. I knew this when I bought. My choice was to invest in replacing flooring and appliances and add hardware to cabinets when I moved in. Lennar should have gave the same quality and attention that is given to the single family homes

Options to choose the material and appliances was not available. Also once signed the contract at the very beginning we didn’t had chance to make even a single option even a day after signing the contract. Would have been good to see all the options ahead of time rather than during the contract signing

Friendly but a lot of issues with the home

This model house is NOT a model: Workmanship is very poor. However, I might say that the construction manager, Jeff, and his right-hand man, Vidal, have responded to my requests very well.

The closing date kept moving more times than it should have. One time it was moved 24 hours prior to our third closing date. This was due to delays by construction. When we finally got a new home walk through the house was in no condition to be viewed. There were people still working on the home. Toilets were still being installed as we were inspecting the home. No appliances were installed, no gas meter, no sprinkler, no sod and no fence, painting not complete to name a few. It was extremely disappointing.

Would not recommend this builder. “Everything’s Included” is not entirely true. Also too much reliance on “technology” to handle everything - difficult to communicate face to face.

Someone forgot to schedule our closing, we had to scramble to get it it done on November 23, 2022. When we arrived at the house later in the day, the garage and front door we’re wide open. Don’t move into your house until the to do items list has been cleared. And don’t move in if the house is filthy, at this point we had no choice. We are still struggling to get the list finished. We are also struggling with a vendor whose representative decided not to process our warranty claim on a critical appliance, offshore call center handled call, obviously misunderstood what was being said to him. ... Nobody from Lennar at closing. Was explained next to nothing throughout the entire process. Feel like only reason some things were fixed was because we brought it up before house was finished. Closed even though not finished. Many things still need fixing. Communication sucks. Period.

Not really like the design

After several weeks of struggling with mice making nests in my garage, and after the fact of my service ticket was rejected because it was considered a nature issue. I decided to open the drywall of the water heater tank base, and I found a rat had made a hole in the concrete insulation between the garage and my guest room. Everything indicates that they were living in the garage before closing the house. Lennar didn't seal the base and the rat (considering the hole size) was able to go inside during the construction phase. Make sure you had everything inspected before you close on the house because they will tell you it wasn't their fault later. ... More

This is our first home so I don't have much to compare the process too. Overall, the build is great. There were a few minor issues that did not get taken care of before we moved in.

Unit wasn't ready and we were forced to pushed to close.

Rushed incomplete 20k over original asking price did not meet their own deadlines

As much as I dislike making a suggestion to finance with the builder, you may get better treatment from Lennar Title by doing so! Questions not answered, calls not returned, treated rude when we arrived to close per Lennar's diection. We were even asked upon arrival to close, why we were there! Who just shows up at a closing for the heck of it, especially in a pandemic? And keep in mind, Lennar had all our monies and still used their leverage to treat us rude. Lennar, you are not the only builder and definely were unknown to us in IL. We traveled cross country to buy in NV and were thrilled to find a buildrer, builing homes to address our personal needs at this time in life. We have owned many properties before and this was the worse and most stressful closing we ever experienced! All, reading this, my comments are specific to Lennar Title. Our site foreman, conceigre, and sales associates were wonderful! We are currently working with Lennar's home care team to address a few building issues, and so far the process is going well. Hopefully, I will gain confidence in Lennar to recommend to others based on they uphold warranties, etc., but for now my only suggestion is if you decife to purchase a Lennar home, work directly with Lennar's team from start to finish and perhaps Lennar Title will give you better customer service! ...
