When we moved into the house we received a faulty dishwasher, which we were told would be repaired not replaced. Also the kitchen flooring needed to be replaced because of water leakage and all this took forever and highest level of escalation. Also in four months I can see the outside paint already chipping from window rims. Seems like Lennar has compromised a lot on using quality appliances and products and not done a proper quality check before handing over the house. Though Bret was still helpful with few things and that is my reason for still giving 3 stars despite multiple issues.

We are not first time home buyers. There are so many questions to be asked and make sure to get all those questions completely answered. The fees are very overwhelming and you need to understand all of it. We feel there has been broken down communications between subcontractors and Lennar. As homeowners it’s incredibly frustrating to purchase a new home, with no previous owners, and have many, many issues of improper and sub-level finishing of paint, kitchen cabinet, fan, shower, garage door, mirror and appliance issues. Didn't know you can't store anything above the garage in Lennar homes....at least not in our area. I was told it voids the warranty. This should not be allowed. Yard work(sodding) appears to be substandard. For 230/month, the water bill should be included. Lawn maintenance seems substandard.

When I sign the contract everything was perfect. After my loan officer was supposed to be reaching out or answering questions, it was a nightmare trying to get a hold of him. I had to remind him that this was an important life event and that we should have constant communication and his job was to answer my questions. Also, I had a coupon that was an internal program to be applied to my purchase and the vendor was telling us that it was an old program and that there was no way that this could be applied even when the coupon was new (just received) and I had to present it up to 30 days prior ...

We love our neighborhood and our home overall is great. The signing of our contract was great but we have very little follow up after that. The only updates that we received were after we had to ask for. Now that we have moved in, we cannot get help with any outstanding issues. Very frustrating. I would say that this had solely to do with our sales consultant and not Lennar as a whole.

In a volatile market Lennar offers a good value. Unfortunately the home you chose might as well have been already been built. No choice of upgrades, colors, etc. We liked the community, floor plan but wished we could have made it more to our personal taste. Ended up spending more money to make changes, color schemes to our taste, frustrating part of an otherwise exciting experience of building a new house.

I really like the interior of my home and had a great experience as the home was being built. The building manager provided weekly updates and the home was completed on time. The biggest problem I have is although I was told I would not be able to hear people walking in the unit above mine I absolutely can hear footsteps from two floors down. If kids are upstairs running it sounds like an absolute train. I suppose that's the price for living in a bottom unit but the lack of sound absorption is very disappointing.

The experience was very fast. Maybe too fast. But I believe that comes with the times and the market. It would have been a better experience if our sales person had better advised us on the process and with more specific facts on the community and neighborhood and that there is an actual sub builder. The sales team could have shown some appreciation and gratitude for finally going through with lennar. Lennar employees we worked with were very nice and helpful throughout. My main complaint is the agent said we were getting certain amenities to the house such as the house being set up as a smart home. That wasn’t the case. There were other things we thought we were getting with the home but were disappointed when that was not so. I love our new home and our community, but the lack of knowledge of my agent displayed and the let down we felt put a sour taste in our mouths about lennar. I wish the sales associate would have spent more time going over all options. There are things that looking back I would have done a few more options. Also the quality of workmanship on the house is subpar at best. I worked in the construction field for close to 20 years and would never have left a finished project look the way it did. From feces left on door handles due to materials left in pipes flooding my new home, to urine stained “brand new” toilets, and even sour urine smelling “brand new” AC, my first 90 days was far from a great experience. Customer service did what they could, yet I was lied to by the construction staff and ALL these issues should have never existed. I highly doubt Lennar will use this survey review or even reach out to me.

Overall, we’re very happy with our home and the neighborhood that was created by Lennar. We are especially happy with the layout & design and the comfort of our home. However, some of the features describe to us during the purchasing process turned out not to be true, i.e., light fixtures and smart home support. The biggest disappointment is the landscape drainage and the grading of our lot which Lennar refuses to correct potentially leaving us with problems in the future.

The process of building was great (not my first new home build) and we were kept informed. There are opportunities with disconnects between marketing material images and actual plans and since the customer only can take away the marketing material those need to match with the plans. Post closing on the home the responsiveness is severely lacking. We have several small issues that are construction defects that we raised both at closing and the 60 day mark and aside from an email with a case number there has been no communication in a month.

In our experience, you have to be diligent about following up on any service requests because they’ll easily be forgotten by the Lennar representatives. It’s best to maintain all records in the form of pictures, emails, and text.
