This is my second Lennar house. I loved my first one and it was a great overall experience, would still live in that house if the neighborhood stayed good. This was a horrible purchasing experience, especially with escrow, and let me explain we could have paid cash for the house, but we didn't want too. The electrical messes up a lot, tons of work orders to get it right. One can light per room and no fans. Only a few plugs in each room too, seems weird. While the layout works for our needs, there are several issues that reflect a lack of attention to detail and some questionable material choices. One of the bedroom doors is misaligned and does not close properly. Another door swing past their stop and hit the walls, Light switches have been placed behind the door making them inconvenient to reach. We also had to arrange for pest control shortly after moving in due to an ant problem—something we didn’t expect in a newly built home. I would like you share my honest opinion here. We moved from other city and it was like 5 hours drive from there to here in Katy TX. I saw my house when I almost bought it. The1st big shock that I received by this house was the door of bathrooms that are NOT wheelchair accessible with a special need child it is so hard that no body can imagine. Kitchen pantry and closets are so small though we have plenty of rooms in the house lennar needs to find some better builders in this regard or people who make maps of the houses. If you want to buy from Lennar please check thoroughly everything.

The outside agents I used were excellent! However my experience with Lennar wasn’t satisfactory! The day I was to move in was a nightmare! The elevator wasn’t working and my condo is on the 4th floor. In fact, the elevator wasn’t working and down for the next 3 days.. I lost money because the movers had to reschedule. If a part was missing, why was it not sent overnight courier? Nobody really seemed concerned. The management company especially didn’t seem to care whatsoever. For the most part it was OK and easy to follow, they need to be more on the spot with communication. the one bad thing that happened is that one of the people in the finance department took it upon herself to contact my insurance broker and change the day the home owners insurance would go active. She did this a total of 7 times during the process. despite being told on the phone and through email that she was NOT to contact and request changes to the brokers directly. Extremely disappoinred in the home rep assigned to me as well as the hoa management company. They are inattentive to home owners needs and basically useless. The project manager, Joe Cantore is wonderful and truly the only positive person I have met there. He is on a class above all others and should be commended for his fine work.

While the financing process had its challenges, the personal experience of working with the team was positive. However, it seemed that the sales department was somewhat misleading regarding the selection and purchase of the home. They were quite insistent that the prices of other homes would be significantly higher than the existing one, possibly to meet their sales goals. If you are okay with sinks being installed crooked, being lied to about what materials the home is made of and poor workmanship amd minimal insulation....continue the process. Bottom line...if you are looking for a cheap home you will get what you pay form they are responsive during the warranty period but no guarantees anything will get fixed. Honest review. I do like the communtiy I live in. The people make it worth it.

Overall buying experience was good, people were very nice and professional. Customer service is very slow at getting things done and some things that were really important to get replaced I’ve been denied. Not very happy about that when I haven’t even been in my house for 30 days yet. Like the community, everyone is friendly and nice.

Financing through Lennar was a nightmare. Buyers beware. The incompetency of the underwriters and managers was astonishing. The entire sale of our home was delayed for weeks because multiple underwriters were unable to read a ledger. It was so bad I almost purchased calculators in bulk to send to Lennar. The home is fine, and the craftsmanship is average.

I’m so disappointed with the workmanship and quality of materials used to build my home. There are so many obvious mistakes that were made and I still have issues that have not been resolved. The quality of the flooring, cabinets and countertops are horrible which will need to be replaced in a couple years. I would recommend a tape measure and level to be added to their toolbox.

Honestly don't where to start unfortunately this has not been an enjoyable experience and continues to slide downhill. I guess on the bright side it can only get better from here wait let me cross my fingers again. When it comes to getting your hard earned money communication is over the top but once they get it nothing but crickets. The neighborhood is great, the layout of our home is perfect but the finishes are cheap and 2 months in, we are finding so many things wrong. We’ll be making a warranty claim very soon. Cracked tiles, holes where there shouldn’t be holes in the walls. Outlets that won’t hold a plug and are useless. The house was given to us with dirty floors, dirty bathrooms and bugs everywhere. Through hard work and long hours, we cleaned it up and made it nice. After we get Stuff fixed through warranty, I’ll be much happier with our new home.

The Lennar experience during purchase was fine. Once we moved in, a BAD wind storm pushed through and our roof torn apart because it was not installed correctly. The adhesive tabs were still on the shingle. When I reached out for support, I was told, it is your problem contact the insurance company. Every house on our street had roof damage...seems like a systemic problem to me, yet Lennar is not upstanding enough to assist residents who have lived in a home for less than 2 weeks.

Considering this is a 55+ community the access to the A/C unit is in the attic. OK if you have a 2 story model. I don’t but A/C is still in the attic with access pull down stairs in the master closet. The last step to reach the attic floor is approximately 3 feet. An extremely dangerous and for most older people impossible to accomplish. As a former Appraiser I have a reasonable understanding of building codes.
