It has been one headache after the next. I THOUGHT owning a new home would be a dream and maybe because we have never have owned a new home our expectations were set to High. Everything from broken door locks, marred closet doors, scratches on most of the windows, and a kitchen range that doesn't work. We do have a wonderful associate we deal with and she is wonderful. Keeps us informed and very knowledgeable on how to get things done. That being said the house shouldn't have been given to us in this condition.

I will rate everything is a little below average, they are great on showing and explaining everything, but after we the offer was approved, they sent me a bunch of documents to sign and they demanded to sign before 11:00 PM the same day they sent, actually that time in only 3 to 4 hours after they sent, the documents are close to 100 pages with a lot of terminology that I am not familiar with which I needed to reach out to my realtor to explain. I refused and they said they won’t honor the offer if I don’t sign quickly. I refused of course. They ended up extending to the next day. The other ...

Everyone involved with the purchase was ok; a little over the top in loan qualifying. When we took possession we were disappointed in the condition. The house was dirty; left over plumbing parts on the cabinets; paint drips all over the floors; very poor paint finishing throughout; paint still on the glass windows, scratched glass patio doors, and many more. Somebody in senior management needs to be on sight to see for themselves!

it was a bit disappointing experience with Lennar. It was frustrating to deal with a sales team that seemed uninterested and not fully transparent about the details, especially when it comes to things like owning a golf cart and the charging issues in the Condos. It’s was also frustrating to be told you’re pre-approved for the loan , only to find out last minute that we weren’t. The property itself and the amenities are up to our expectations. Very deceiving sales tactics by our agent. Steered us away from the property we wanted by telling us there would be a bidding war for it. No bidding war happened as property is marked down now. Just would have liked to purchase what we wanted as we were first to buy.

Overall, the quality of this new Lennar home is at best average. First off they tell you when you have your walk-through that all the issues will be taken care of that is not so at the final walk-through we were told we have to wait for the repairs for our 90 day check up, which is absolutely not acceptable. The functionality of some of the features is not good. Why does one house need two or three sliding glass doors back to back. Experience in rather disappointing, but since I have bought it there's no choice. For instance, any addition or modifications can only be done by their 3rd party contractors or warranty is voided. When contacted 3rd party for addition, they are charging 3 to 4 times higher.

Decided to purchase an investment property in Florida and settled on Oak Hammock in DeLand. Our salesperson (Madison) was great with offering us up a deal we couldn't refuse, and Lennar overall offered up a quick and (mostly) seamless 3-week cash close which we were happy about. Their closer, Kristen, was very on top of things up until the close. Closing process was quick and trouble-free and very much appreciated. Overall process was relatively simple, with all of it being conducted through their online applications. The part of the process that ultimately left a bad taste was after closing. The house was not cleaned as our representative Bert had assured me. We love Webbs Reserve. Closing did not go smoothly and the lack of communication from Lennar was disappointing. They have been responsive to requests for service since we closed. Make sure to go through the fine details of the contract to look for additional “hidden” charges.

Our home-buying experience has been somewhat disappointing. While we were excited to move into a new home, the overall build quality feels inexpensive, with materials that seem below par. Buying with Lennar was a pretty straight straightforward and easy process to go through. There are multiple people that walk you through the home buying experience if it is your first time. Waiting for the house to be built is probably the most exciting part. The only slight problems I’ve had with the house are cosmetic things such as the baseboards not being all the way flush to the ground, which I was explained that the foundation isn’t always going to be 100% flat, a lot of loose doorknobs, sliding glass door frame not being installed correctly, doors being slight slanted instead of flush ...

Missy, our Lennar sales agent, has been absolutely fantastic. Her support throughout the home-buying process—and even after the purchase—has been exceptional. She’s been nothing short of 100%, A+ in working with her. That said, there were challenges outside of Missy’s control that have been disappointing in working with Lennar CS. Construction inspections very low quality. Sloppy and lost trust in the inspection manager. Many cosmetic complaints and had to pull teeth for adjustments. Would recommend Lennar evaluating their construction manager and their definition of what quality is.

Our two primary issues with this home are poor interior design, and workmanship. I'll touch on a separate topic of builder/buyer interface at the end. For a home at this price point, certain essentials are absent such as, stacked kitchen and bathroom drawers, no place to mount towel bars, too-shallow upper kitchen cabinets, kitchen drawers that are so wide that space is wasted. Poor paint job throughout villa, wall and drywall marks easily and chip. Placement of both water hoses act ward, one inside the back of the garage wall and the other on wall at paved patio should be further away from electrical outlet. Some kitchen cabinets open into each other. Closet shelving way too high and there should be more than one shelve in each closet. I had to place more shelving in some of the closets.

Great experience with Adrianne, our sales consultant. To this day, it is so special to see her in the community. She has stayed friendly with us and has graciously introduced us to our neighbors. We had some difficulties with construction following up on items. We were rushed to close on December 31 with several outstanding items; particularly landscaping agreements between Lennar and the HOA. I started out by getting a realtor, and I would suggest a realtor for anyone, completed the paperwork portion and we went home shopping. Buying the house so good everyone at Lennar was helpful and professional. Once moved in get anyone to simply finish the repairs that were agreed upon on the walk thru has take multiple attempts. Many miss appointments no call backs no reschedules. Very disappointing and frustrating. I guess getting the house funded and closed was the most important part of the process for Lennar not customer service and support.
