There are lot of problems with the finishing like painting and caulking. Especially the finishing is very bad and rushed for closing.

The only bright spot to my experience was my sales person Shawn, other than that my experience was awful. From Lenoir mortgage to the closing process to the inspection process to being forced to close without the home being completely done and still living with a huge punchlist. I will never buy from Lennar again I am also in our stockholder, and will be liquidating my stocks in the very near future. Very disappointed.

Repair was for a floor and an electrical issue. Both issues were resolved perfectly.

Our project manager was great! However, the quality of craftsmanship by the trades, attention to detail, incomplete punch list even two months after closing, integrity, and timeliness of communication were unsatisfactory. We have a front door that needs to be replaced, a few broken cabinets, and a few other aesthetic things that need to still be fixed.

When we first began the process it started off good with our sales agent. Once the actual building started of the home is when miscommunication started happening/misinformation from sales agent. Before I give more details we do like our home we chose and location. Now as for quality and professionalism on construction side I have to say is not very good. We have been in our new home 6 weeks now. We were not able to fully enjoy our home because of issues that were not corrected prior to closing. We did our first final walk through to write down our concerns and issues we found needing to be fixed before closing day which was the final walk through to make sure things were fixed. First, the fact that a customer voices issues, we voiced a lot before closing and a month before closing for things to be fixed before certain things were done to not cause more damage or work nobody from sales to construction manager listened or did anything. So we voiced everything to the construction manager here that needed to be fixed and corrected. So a week later is our closing day and we first go to the house to go over all of the to do things that should have been done. We did go the day prior to see if everything we wrote down needing to be fixed and still done was actually done. Guess what NOTHING was done except the carpet by landing was replaced from a big stain. We go the next day on our closing day to see that people were there doing things then right before we had to close Cleaning crew was there and left when we showed up, our home was delivered dirty we bought a over half a million dollar home handed to us DIRTY I was disappointed and disgusted because the master bathroom by toilet there was with urine all over the floor and toilet seat I felt like this was a joke the floor the windows the kitchen I mean nothing was cleaned like we were told would be cleaned. The construction manager after dealing with him on multiple issues i feel has no professionalism nor good listening skills. I don’t like pointing fingers or putting one down but I will call it like I see after many attempts even after closing to get things done he failed to listen/pay attention to what we voiced. I mean we were missing a screen for a basement window I was told a brand new one would be ordered and delivered to us well three weeks went by nothing was delivered so when the construction manager came regarding another issue we we’re having with electrical I asked about this missing screen and he said we have some around i will get you two I only needed one, the next day or two days later two guys show up with two screens and i told them we only need one so they left it. I looked at it and they provided us a dirty bent unusable screen with holes in it. This issue was resolved because the warranty person I was dealing with I showed him the pictures and explained to him everything and a week later we got delivered a new screen not sure if it was brand new but was in better condition and the warranty person said that the construction manager wasn’t sure why the brought us one that was damaged Well he’s the one that said they will find some that are just around so to me that shows the tradesman are poor and construction manager poor at communicating and paying attention whats delivered To me that is such bad organization. That is why 6 weeks now were still dealing with issues to be fixed. I really hope no other customers go through what we did it started of to be exciting and we were so happy getting near the end of the process being unhappy somewhat, disappointed, and disgusted with how our home was delivered to us. The warranty people who handled our service requests and actually got things moving were absolutely amazing. Great customer service provided. We moved from Illinois to SC last year due to my job, and we (me, my wife annd our infant daughter) ended up renting a small house in Liberty. It was way too small for us, but then we found out we were going to be having another child, so the hunt for a better suited home was on. We stumbled upon our house out of luck, just 3 days after our son was born and it was a smoking deal so we had to jump on it quick. Dan made sure to give us a chance to get everything worked out and we were able to get the contract signed just 4 days after our son was born and we were in the house by the time he was 1 month old! ... Erik the salesperson and Jaimee the site person are the only 2 Lennar people I give 5 stars. The warranty dept has been bad. The finish work is horrible. Hopefully things improve. Still no dishwasher after 6 weeks when they knew day one it had to be replaced. Hot water heater has been a problem from day one. Still don't know if you're getting a hot or cold shower. I understand the hurricane may have caused some delay, but this is ridiculous.

They take the whole experience of buying a New Home to a level of take it as is. At first i was so impressed until it came to work on the details, Attention to details is not on the list. Ive moved about a month and 1/2 and there is still unpainted spot outside the house with bent gutters covers. Just make sure you get everything corrected; otherwise prepared to hear a lot of “we don’t cover that … , that’s owner’s responsibility”. This is what you get when the work is unsupervised. Gave 4 * in overall since Finance, and sales people overall were awesome thru this period of buying.

Lennar is a good company. I think they hire some contractor workers who rush through these homes so for my experience, I had a lot of issues that I felt if they took their time building the home instead of rushing, some of the stuff wouldn’t have to be done over. Now, I love the fact, that when I have called for help on any issues in my home that needs immediate attention, they are quick and responsive and get people out here to fix exactly what you need. Jennifer & Chad have been the most supportive since the day I moved in with helping me get items done. From my new home orientation list and any issues since I’ve moved in, they have been awesome, Ms. Denise is the best sales consultant I’ve ever met. She does exactly what she say she is going to do and she make sure from the time you get your Lot until closing day, she goes above and beyond to help you. I mean she literally is the greatest person to work with here at Lennar, I’m grateful for her. ... More

Buying process from start to end and with closing not good at all. Pending items are still incomplete.

Waited on fixing items after closing and then informed me I had to go through the warranty side. Many items wrong are amateur items, holes in walls, paint on tile floor and rugs, knobs on kitchen cabinets don’t line up, sensors missing, openings in garage, a/c draining into the garage, weather stripping left off the external doors, house never cleaned and I could go on. Not one item has been repaired, it’s been 45 days. Talked to other owners and some of their problems are worse than mine and still waiting on repairs!

Wish i never knew the existence of lennar,you guys are terrible in every way possible,i got frame with this house built with the cheapest material and if there is a chance to undo everything i signed with lennar,i would do it in a heart beat.myself and a few neighbors are coming for you lennar!!!

The construction manager did not closely monitor the work of any subs. They are basically just inputting requests and scheduling. The trim and painting on this house is the worst I have ever seen in new construction. Pages of followup needed.

Before we put our NON REFUNDABLE down payment of 5% of the purchase price everything was great. Communication was good. New home consultant was always on the ball replying to text message quickly and always avail to answer questions. After the deposit however is a different story. Total lack of communication thereafter, financing was a nightmare, home was not ready when we closed, closing is where we found out about all the hidden fees (15,000$ in extra closing fees) that Lennar preferred lender added, when we moved in the Ac was not working. Took them 3 days to find the problem. Kitchen had 1 broken cabinet to which they dropped off a whole new kitchen (10 cabinets) and 2 months later are still taking up my living room. Finish on the walls is poor. 2 closet doors are not even painted. 4 doors inside the home don't latch closed. Ceramic tile is chipped in 4 places. Garage door opener didn't work. floor was not scraped properly before putting carpet down so lumps can be felt under the carpet when you walk. Soap holder fell off the wall in the shower. Multiple calls with construction manager to have these issues resolved and nothing ever gets done. Now construction manager's phone number doesn't work and no one from Lennar has reached out. The whole Lennar experience has been great from start to finish!!! We were so lucky to buy the model home and we could not be happier!!! I would recommend Lennar 100!!!

sloppy workmanship; paint drippings on windows, floors. lack of communication. garage door still has dent. Lennar financing personnel awful. building supervisor was helpful.

Lennar has an an Organized process for home building and delivery. It also has a well defined process for post delivery warranty related issues. Lennar delivered what was promised. Supply related delays were beyond anybody’s control. However, l kept on receiving updates regarding delays. Overall good experience.

I like where I live now, but the workmanship is horrible. It’s taken forever to the job done correctly. They rush you into closing with 9 pages of work that has to be done .

Terrible experience, would not recommend.

Homebuying process was simple if somewhat rushed. The biggest issue is the lack of noise abatement between our home and the home below us. We can hear every footstep from the unit below us. This is unacceptable and Lennar does not seem to care since we now own it.

My experience with purchasing this home has been nothing but frustrating. Their communication amongst the different departments need a lot of work. Be very diligent with who you work with,. Their underwriting department has “dropped the ball” and seems to be very disorganized. I Have been in my home for almost two months but have not been able to enjoy it because there are constant issues almost every week. Most of the issues could have been taken care of if I had the opportunity to do a walkthrough before closing (which I was told would happen) - instead my walkthrough and closing were on the same day. I thought buying a home would be an amazing experience and it might be with another builder. The entire process was extremely stressful and frustrating. Lennar Corporate could careless and are pretty much useless. Good luck to anyone building with Lennar!

We just purchased April 2020 and sold April 2022 a new build Lennar townhome in Prior Lake, MN, that experience was great. The attention to detail, commitment to follow here in Punta Gorda, FL is horrible. I booked a flight and the Lennar team was completely aware that I was flying down for a scheduled walk thru August 22 so we could close by the end of August. I walk in and could not believe what I was seeing, no appliances, vents not installed, no weather stripping on front door, garage floor not done, closet doors not hung, closet shelves not hung, filthy dirty outside and in. I'm sure I'm missing several other issues. What was most amazing to me was that the Lennar construction managers said "this is all minor things, the structure is in good shape and will get the rest of it down so we can close in August as that is our "Lennar's" target date" If this was my company and crew I would have fired them all, a complete failure for a final walk thru. We did a video walk thru later that week after I had flown back home and was assured all was taken care of. We met the movers the week of September 12 and some of the issues had been addressed. Still no weather stripping on the front door, the gap was big enough to allow rain, bugs to come right on in. Many paint mars on closet doors that did get hung but looked like they have been thrown around before mounting, inside of the house we completely dirty, shelves not done in the bedroom closets, I called and asked if we could at least get the weather stripping on the front door done while we were here and was assured it would be taken care of, 7 days later it was not done. I was even forwarded a message from Dave that Grant told him he could not find weather stripping anywhere.................hard to believe with a Home Depot just a few miles away. ... More

I have to say, buying our new Lennar home has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life. From our walkthrough (with no lights or AC), to closing day where these issues were still not resolved, to issues that are still not resolved in our home almost 2 months after closing. You have to jump through hoops to get things fixed, even when they been notated multiple times. The materials in the home are cheap- pressed wood cabinets and laminate counters in the bathrooms. It’s very clear that once the sale was made, we were no longer a priority. The workmanship inside the home is shoddy. It’s apparent that these homes are just thrown together, and as close tighter, in order to make quick money. We will never purchase another Lennar home. I cannot imagine that this company has consistent repeat business based on the way they treat their customers. ... More
