Cheep quality cabinets

1. The kitchen and bath cabinets are low grade quality. 2. The kitchen and baths grout was not sealed. "Sealer should be mixed with grout when installed." - This Old House. 3. Exterminator quote: "Sill boards not calked - lets in lots of bugs." "Too many weep holes, not a state or local requirement."

Lennar responded:
Hi Kevin, thank you for the comments about these items in your home. We're sorry for any difficulties you've had. Please send a message to us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com, so we can follow-up for you. – Lennar Customer Care

The layout just didnt really make any sence. Attic door is in the walkway and not in the garage. Doors are pretty thin like shoulder width? Storage could be a lot better.

It seemed like none of the departments communicated with each other unless prompted by client or realtor. We finally got the home, but there were so many complications to get through and no one communicated with the other so everyone was on a different timeline. Moved in with a recalled gas leaking oven and no one from Lennar could help or even get in touch with the company that provided the ovens upon their request for the home. Have been moved in a little over a month and have noticed cracking in walls and ceilings from uneven settlement. Blessed to be in our first home, but as a well ...

Our seller agent (Ashley) was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Handyman Rod has been quick to respond in correcting a number of issues, including helping us move cabinet shelves that were stuck in place by plastic supports that were very hard to remove. Unfortunately three or four pieces of backyard sod (grass) have died, and no one from the landscape company has returned our calls asking for that sod to be replaced. We hope our backyard lawn will be repaired soon. Overall quality of material in our 1903 square foot home is acceptable, but we did replace the slow drop toilet seat in our ...

I Am gladly I picked you as my home builder , this was quite an experience since all signing documents were done online. I still think your customers need some more info on every step of the way of the process, there is a lot I didn’t know and I encounter surprises every step of the way which I didn’t like it at all. I think there is more that can be done make things easier and smoother process.

Advice for older buyers

Make sure you fully understand the online process for your documents. It can be difficult if you are not computer literate. When Lennar says do not rely on verbal info that is an understatement. Verify everything you are told. Make sure you clarify everything on your walkthrough. Some Lennar people have been very helpful and others have not. On the positive side everyone has been friendly. We really like the Webbs Reserve development and our condo is great! There are a few minor suggestions I have for Lennar. Better lighting in the bathrooms and a couple of towel holders. Offer a reasonably ...

Lennar staff are professional, caring and a pleasure to work with, however, the amount of paperwork and signatures are a lot. The buying experience is overwhelming for my age.

I did not use Lennar‘s mortgage company, but used their escrow company. As a loan officer myself, I found their escrow to be lacking in service and responsiveness. The overall purchase experience was OK at best. Now that I’ve been in the home for over a month. I have requested several repairs through the Lennar website and it is going on eight weeks and the repairs have not been completed or scheduled. I have reached out to the Millwood homeowners association and have yet to receive a response from them as well. It’s been frustrating, and I’m hoping they make some improvements on the Customer ...

My wife and I came to the house to check on the progress just after the QA walkthrough. There was blue tape all over the outside of the house. We assumed this was the findings, and thought that by the walkthrough time it would be handled. Then the walkthrough day came. Everything we saw with blue tape on the outside of the house was not addressed, and we needed more tape to address it. Then we get inside the house, and the cleaning inside was not good, paint overspray, and drops on places it shouldn't be, a door was broken, and the garage floor was terrible (all kinds of gouges in the ...

My experience with Lennar was okay. Being a first-time home buyer, I did get a pretty good deal. However, going through the loan process was an eye-opening experience. Lennar mortgage was very demanding and expected me to drop everything and get what they wanted done immediately. I also felt like it was somewhat of a high pressure sale on this house. The area is hard to get to. If there were better access roads to major highways. My work commute would be cut by at least 10 to 15 minutes. I really hope that Lennar is working with community planners to start opening up four lane roads ...

If we are talking quality and craftsmanship, I suggest to shop around at other builders to see their offerings before making a final decision here. If we are talking communication with the sales team, their leadership, the lender, etc.,during the home buying process - decline to further comment.

Highs and lows through process with Lennar staff, was provided incorrect information for lot and I caught the error right before signing contract. Staff responsiveness has been inconsistent especially following closing. However, I love my home but the community has debris throughout my phase, so hoping this stops as construction wraps up.

I recently purchased a home in the Wildwood Groves community by Lennar, and overall, my experience has been a mix of strong positives and areas that deserve attention. First, I want to sincerely acknowledge the staff. The team was professional, responsive, and consistently diligent throughout the process. From initial inquiries to closing, they demonstrated a high level of organization and customer care that made what can be a stressful experience feel much more manageable. Their communication and willingness to assist did not go unnoticed. That said, when evaluating the home ...

My experience with Lennar wasn’t the best. The buying process was very stressful and underwriting was the worst. I have bought other homes from builders in the past and the process was smooth. But Lennar was ridiculous requesting the same documents over and over again. To me it was lazy on their part. Then we move into our new home you would think that they would have cleaned it for the new home owner. Absolutely not paint drops on the floor, sticky substance on floors that you have to get down and scrub by hand. Very frustrating you buy a new home and you walk into a home that is dirty

This whole experience has been just okay. The Lennar mortgage company gets negative 5 stars from me, but I think this is asking about the building experience. Things I liked: * the people we worked with on the sales/building side (NOT THE MORTGAGE SIDE) were kind and helpful * timeframe was pretty accurate (albeit they broke ground 3 months after initially planned during our first meeting) but the ~4 to 5 months they quoted was right on target as it took 4.5 months. Things I didn’t like: * There were so many people introduced to us along our 13 month process, I didn’t really know ...

We just moved in and already noticed a lot of things were missed during the turnover. This would have been prevented if the site supervisor is more thorough with checking each unit before turnover. We already submitted a couple of service request for things that are avoidable in the first place.

Strong Sales Experience, But Serious Concerns With Oversight and Warranty

We recently moved into our new home in Waterwheel–Coastline/Hilltop in San Antonio. The sales and closing process was generally organized, and communication during that phase was clear and supportive. However, there were serious issues that should not be overlooked. While we were still under contract, there was an attempt to release or offer the property to another buyer. This is not a minor misstep—it reflects a significant breakdown in internal coordination and created unnecessary stress during an already critical process. Post-closing, my experience with the warranty team has ...

The realtor at the sales center (Misha) is AMAZING and the mortgage group was good. However, the after care was spotty. Response time was good for any service calls, but buyer beware - once you do your walkthrough, they aren’t responsible for some things such as dead landscaping. We also had some trouble with our garage door opener and the tech said it was the cheapest model available. The interior doors are hollow and the handles are cheap. The carpet crunches when you walk on it. Countertops are super thin, No handles on any of the cabinetry. No lighting except high hats and nothing in the ...

Salesman was excellent and helpful beyond initial sales effort. He was the best. Some items from walkthrough weren't addressed before settlement but since my time was limited, I had no choice but to proceed. They could've done better but it's acceptable. Online process might have been helpful but was burdensome, confusing, and poorly conducted when timing was short. And there was no support so buyers have to work through it via trial and error, repeat, repeat. It was awful.
